Please pray for the following this week.

Pray for the Mainly Music program who have been greatly blessed by so many people attending, most
of whom are families who have not come from a church background. The opportunities for sharing
Jesus love is available yet the program is in need of helpers who can share the load. Pray for Wendy
Slater as she leads this vital program.

Similarly, pray for Girls Brigade who also have been blessed with significant increases in enrolments
and they too have opportunities to share the gospel in a meaningful way. As is the case with Mainly
Music, they too need additional helpers to ensure that these precious opportunities to share are not
lost.

Continue to pray for Lorraine Mills. She has been diagnosed with post concussion trauma and
inflammation of the brain. The treatment is total rest. She also suffers from nerve damage in the rear
of the brain. Pray that Lorraine may be patient in order to rest and heal and uphold Vic in prayer as
he cares for his wife during this testing time.

Recognise the blessing of healing for Janet Martin who is recovering well after a recent fall. Pray also
for Derek Martin (Janet’s son) who has some significant health issues to deal with. He has also recently
lost his job, so please pray that employment opportunities may be available to him soon.

Newcomers lounge is looking for
more willing volunteers to join the
team.
If you would like to be part of this
exciting ministry that looks forward to

The commitment is no more than once
a month and you have a chance to not
only to meet newcomers but enjoy a
coffee and something special to eat.

Last Thursday night we commenced Girls’ Brigade and we had a
wonderful night meeting new girls, parents and friends of our
club. It was so exciting to start again and we were very excited to
welcome back so many girls. We had 8 new girls join us for the
year and what a buzz the church was. We have a new leadership
team and we are so excited to welcome our new leaders: Micah
Webb, Ruth Goodall and Chaplain Kerry Petrus to our team. Two
of our senior girls have now become leaders as well which is such
a blessing. Lana Volkoff, Tania Kapranov, Lydia Wakeling and
Margaret Ham returned and so our new team of 12 leaders are
enthusiastic about 2016 at Girls Brigade.
If you have a friend or daughter in school (preps to year 12) you
are invited to come along and join us on Thursday night at 6.00
p.m. in the church.
We have over 70 girls in our program and we can’t wait to see the
girls lives transformed
We are also looking for another helper (no
experience necessary) and if you are feeling the call
to come and join us give Margaret a call on

WORKING BEE
A HUGE Thank You to all
who attended last week’s
Working Bee!!
We had a large number of our
folk attend both from the
English
and
Spanish
congregations and the age
groups varied from 3 years
old to very mature age.
Many jobs were completed.
The hired skip was filled to
the brim with all manner of
hard rubbish and garden
waste, debris from around
the church was cleaned up,
garden beds were weeded,
trees trimmed, car park
concrete edges weeded and
trees trimmed. The big
container was emptied and 2
garden sheds were put up.
The list goes on and on.
