The Big Move, Part 1
It's happening: we're moving out of our house!
Of course we knew this day would come. It's been in the back of our minds and weighing heavy on our spirits since we returned home from candidate orientation: we need to sell our house. Finally, a few weeks ago, we cut the cord and asked a realtor friend to list it for us. On the very same day connections were made with a potential renter and sure enough, she wanted to move in by June!
We know this is God's plan. The way He knit it all together with such perfect timing and precision in His provi-
sion is astounding. We are constantly humbled and amazed to see how thoroughly He provides for us. We'd hit something of a support raising "slump," and to receive this kind of news was huge for us.
Financially speaking, the impact this has on us short-term and long-term is incredible. Thanks to the gracious-
ness of David's parents, we're able to stay in the Magic Valley area of Idaho which we consider home, and still serve and be involved with our sending church, Calvary Chapel Buhl--and at virtually no cost to ourselves. Literal-
ly our only real monthly costs will be gas, insurance and groceries, and David's entire paycheck can go right into our savings account. We're beyond blessed in this!
We would love your prayers over the next week as we continue to move out of our home. There are six years of memories here (and six years' worth of stuff), and we've noticed even our boys are having to come to terms with what the move really means. We praise the Lord for this season of transition that will ultimately prepare us for the bigger one when we actually head overseas. He is so good! And we'd also appreciate prayers that the house does, in fact, still sell. Being landlords while in Europe is doable but it's not ideal.
This is an exciting and yet stressful time. Thank you all for your love and support. From this point on, we're even more excited to be able to devote more time and energy to ministry here in our community and support rais-
ing to get us to the field. We had great news directly from our team leader this past month about the awesome things happening in the Roma community down in Giurgiu, and we were told that Pastor Viorel and his congrega-
tion pray unceasingly for us that we might join them soon over there. It's so encouraging--and reminds us how much work there is to be done to reach such a hurt and lost people there in the South. Continue to pray with us that the Spirit will move and hearts will be changed as we strive to serve.

Tutapona Trauma Counseling
What is Tutapona?
We are an non-profit organization committed to addressing the pain and trauma associated with war and violence. We have taken rehabilitation services to the
most severely traumatized individuals in the heart of war zones. We take the
love of Jesus Christ through trauma rehabilitation to victims of rape, mutilation, abduction, former child
soldiers, and anyone affected by the horror of war. We train leaders on the ground in local regions affected
by war and develop local teams of indigenous workers to carry on the effort within their own culture. We
partner with local churches & organizations to bring healing to as many people as possible.
The wars and violence in Central and Eastern Africa have left countless children severely wounded and traumatized. The number of child soldiers in these regions is among the highest in the world. Young boys are abducted from their home, often forced to kill their own family, and conscripted into the rebel militia. Young
girls are often raped or used as sex slaves, in addition to being used as soldiers. The violence has been systemic for so long that literally everyone living in these regions has been affected by war and are often significantly traumatized.
We offer hope. We offer healing. We offer Jesus.
TRAUMA REHABILITATION
COUNSELING
Tutapona uses a trauma rehabilitation
counseling curriculum designed by Dr.
Robi Sonderegger. EMPOWER is crosscultural and has been translated into
many languages across the world. Some
of the topics include: forgiveness, bitterness, community, and overcoming the
past.

INTRODUCTION TO
CHRISTIANITY
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has
been given to me. Go therefore and make
disciples of all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to
observe all that I have commanded you.
And behold, I am with you always, to the
end of the age.”

LEADERSHIP TRAINING
CHURCH PLANTING
Without the leadership of men and women
in their own villages, EMPOWER and church
planting initiatives would be in vain. We believe that leadership training is crucial to
lasting, eternal life change.
To continue in the healing that communities
experience for the very first time through the
EMPOWER program, church planting is a
vital aspect of Tutapona's ministry.
