Suggestions for Prayer and Thanksgiving
WORLD:
Pray that the people of the United States will have wisdom during the presidential campaigns
Pray for wisdom when considering whether to leave or stay in
Europe
Pray that the migrant crisis will be treaded with compassion and
wisdom
CHURCH:
We pray for All Saints, Kings Langley
Please pray for:
The monthly communion services in Abbeyfield Friars Mead
and Garrad House
The pastoral care of many older and frail members of the
congregation by the LMDT and other members of the
congregation
The refreshing of All Saints’ Mission Action Plan focusing on
growing the faith of the congregation, community outreach and
working with young families
CHURCHES TOGETHER IN HEMEL PRAYER FOCUS:
The Church of the Resurrection - we pray especially for the
Catholic congregation as they prepare for Fr John to move and
pray for the right replacement Priest
COMMUNITY:
We pray for the police who work hard to keep our communities
safe
We pray for organisations who work with groups who struggle
to interact appropriately with the community.
All who are poorly at this time and their families

WOODHALL FARM COMMUNION
Starting at 2.30pm on Wednesday 25th May
and continuing on a 2nd and 4th Wednesday of
the Month, we are launching a service of Holy
communion at the Community Centre on
Datchet Road in Woodhall Farm. This will be
trialed in the Arkley Room which is upstairs.

CathLEP DENS - Giving Sundays.
The challenge is to focus giving food, toiletries and cleaning products for the Food Bank to the 1st Sunday of the month.
Bring along to church and leave in the box provided.

ARE YOU A KNITTER?
There is a world record attempt at knitting the
longest chain of knitted bunting. Just 17,000
flags! Ultimately the attempt is in aid of Shoe Box
and Help the Aged. Jenny’s Mum Ann is one of
the team of knitters. Can you either help knit bunting (pattern provided) or bring in your wool to give
to Jenny. For more information on the challenge

ABBEY BY NIGHT TOUR WEDNESDAY 23RD NOVEMEBER
This is a very early call to book places onto the
Abbey by Night Tour at the Cathedral. Come
and be guided around the candlelit venue by
monks and historical characters who bring to life
the building’s remarkable history and highlights.
Incense is used a little on the night. The Tour is
very popular and we want to collect bookings
before the tickets go on sale. Tickets £12.50.
Cheques payable to ‘Grovehill Church’ and
given to Austin. Not suitable for under 10 year
olds. 10-18 year olds permitted if accompanied by an adult.
