the g n a r e Boom . t c effe es he chanc t e s a e r c s in Microchipets coming home of los t p Are you ready for compulsory microchipping? As National Microchipping Month approaches again we wanted to take the opportunity to talk to you about the changes in the law which will affect all dog owners in England and Wales. From April 2016 it will be law for all dogs in England and Wales to be microchipped and registered on a microchip database. This new law means it will be a criminal offence if your dog does not have a microchip or the details registered to your dog on the microchip database are incorrect. As 2016 draws ever closer, now is the time to ensure your dog has a microchip and is correctly registered on the relevant database. Microchipping your pet is the best way to ensure they can be traced back to you should they get lost or stolen. Thousands of pets every year are reunited with their worried owners thanks to the microchip. All species can be microchipped so while the law will only cover dogs, it is important to microchip all pets, especially cats with their natural curiosity and tendency to wander.
