E ® Euroblast for Professionals • Suitable for use with safe, low cost water based biodegradable detergents w w w . g u y s o n . c o . u k where quality comes • Solvents free high impact washing to the surface • Automatic batch cleaning systems When your surface quality counts ... Recognised worldwide as the highest quality available, a Guyson Euroblast® system can help you achieve new levels of precision, speed and efficiency in many industrial blast cleaning or finishing operations. Guyson blasting equipment offers a faster alternative to labour intensive operations such as hand deburring, scraping and wire brushing, chemical cleaning, acid etching or dipping, liquid honing, knife trimming, sanding, grinding and many others. Sample of plastic, composite and electronic applications Guyson blasting uses compressed air to propel blast media directly at the component through an exclusively designed blast gun. These clean and safe operations are housed in an illuminated cabinet from which dust is constantly removed and the blast media recycled to provide a continuous and reliable cleaning and finishing system. Our two blast gun types are configurable to offer a blast gun and media combination which matches your requirements for blast intensity, precise coverage, abrasion resistance and compressed air consumption. It is ideal for component producers, reconditioners and remanufacturers seeking to replace these slower and more labour intensive methods. Faster Processing Generally the greater the amount of compressed air used, the faster is the speed of processing. Reconditioning Applications Air supply ranging from 250-1400 lpm or 8-45 cfm can be used at operational pressures in the range of 2-6 bar or 30-90 psi. This selection of components illustrates how Guyson blasting is achieving positive results worldwide for manufacturers of machined metal and fabricated components, investment and die castings, pressings and forgings, moulded thermosets and thermoplastics, electronic encapsulations and glassware. Guyson Model 400 Suction Feed Gun 2 w w w. g u y s o n . c o . u k Euroblast for Professionals Guyson Model 900 Suction Feed Gun count on Guyson Suction or pressure feed systems There are two types of Guyson blast installations, both capable of using a wide selection of blast media at alternative pressures ... pressures low enough to blast delicate parts and high enough to handle the most demanding cleaning and finishing operations. Delicate and Precise Finishes Suction Feed Suction feed cabinets are generally selected for light-to-medium production requirements and limited space. Euroblast 6SF and C400 Dust Collector A suction feed system uses a venturi siphoning action to draw the media into the compressed air stream within the gun nozzle itself. One pass of the nozzle removes foreign matter in seconds and quickly produces a clean uniform surface finish. A typical system combines a Euroblast® cabinet and one of our range of efficient dust collectors. The use of a media cyclone separator is optional with suction feed systems. Combined Cyclone Separator and Pressure Vessel Controlled Power Pressure Feed Designed for speed, giving faster cleaning times (up to four times faster than venturi systems) to meet higher production requirements, pressure feed cabinets are excellent for removing tough, hard scale and deposits particularly within hard-to-reach recessed areas and complex shapes. The use of a pressure vessel forces a dense flow of media to the blast nozzle at high impact velocities. This is particularly important where dense metallic grits are used to impart deep surface etching prior to bonding or coating. A media cyclone separator is standard with pressure feed systems. Cabinet size, air input through the blast gun, the application and whether the cabinet usage is intermittent, regular or continuous are all factors in choosing the correct dust collector. By using high efficiency cartridge filters the latest generation of dust collectors provide good visibility in the blast chamber and a clean operating environment in the workshop. The extracted airflow drawn by the dust collector is carefully balanced with either the media reclamator or directly with the cabinet to ensure that a minimum of re-useable blast media is removed. This separates out good re-useable media from dust and debris and can quickly prove cost effective. A motorised option is available. 6 w w w. g u y s o n . c o . u k Euroblast for Professionals Model C400 Medium and large cabinets with 900 gun in regular or continuous use. Airflow 11m3/min Filter type/area Micronomic paper cartridge filter/10m2 Filter cleaning system Manual air pulse The heart of the pressure feed system Pressure feed systems, capable of cleaning up to four times faster than suction feed, are recommended for manual treatment of large surface areas, removal of tough coatings and surface deposits, or whenever high productivity must be achieved. Higher particle velocities are produced by direct pressure systems as the controlled power of compressed air accelerates media throughout the length of hose travelling from the pressurised vessel to the blast nozzle. Features and capabilities Rapid removal of tough hard surface deposits and deep etch surface preparation. Immediate acceleration and maximum media flow to blast nozzle with heavier metallic abrasives. Ideal for high impact velocities and high abrasive flow blasting. Rubber curtains protect the cabinet interior from abrasion and wear plates in the hopper, inlet, outlet elbows and cyclone body are fitted. Main Options on Standard Systems When you have a variety of operators working long hours blasting, your productivity can be maintained by installing the SELECT. Variable height of operation by manual or electronic means enables the machine to rise or fall vertically giving flexibility to fit a range of operators. Ideal for shift systems where productivity needs to be maintained. A quick adjustment to the height to suit the operative and fatigue or expensive mistakes caused by fatigue can be a thing of the past. 400 or 900 blast gun The optional larger arm holes and arm supports also aid comfort and manoeuvrability thus adding to the ability to maintain concentrated work for longer periods. By including in your system specification a Euroblast Plus option, greater levels of blast finish consistency and throughput can be achieved. A motorised rotary tumble basket which can take up to 12kg of small parts is mounted on the door where it is easy to load or unload. Inside the cabinet an alternative gun arm allows the blast gun to project into the basket for a pre-set time, then after a quick blast with the air blow-off jet, the parts are dedusted ready for unload. The basket can be de-mounted when more space is needed to blast individual larger parts.
