OVERVIEW
Cbeyond provides the storage space and bandwidth to host and
manage your website.
Cbeyond offers a variety of Web hosting plans on two different platforms, UNIX and WINDOWS.
Please see the charts on the next page for plan details.
Important: • If you do not have a website, you will need to contact a web designer.
Cbeyond does not provide Web design services.
• If you do have a website, you and your Web Designer will need to upload your website files
to the Cbeyond IP Address you are provided. Cbeyond is unable to download your website
files from your previous hosting company and transfer the files to the Cbeyond space.
STOP
You will need to ensure your new website is visible on the Cbeyond provided IP address
and redirect your domain to the Cbeyond provided IP address before you delete your
previous Web hosting account.
Tip: To ensure the website files that you uploaded on the Cbeyond provided IP address
are visible, type your IP address into an Internet browser address bar, like you would
a URL (for example, http://161.58.154.150).

How to setup > There are 3 parts to uploading your Web files to the Cbeyond Web Hosting space:

Locate the Web Hosting Welcome Email entitled “Cbeyond Web Hosting Configuration”
and give it to your Web designer. This email contains your Web hosting Username (User ID),
password and IP address. If you cannot locate this email, call Customer Support at 1-866-424-5100
to obtain your password and IP address.
2 Upload your web files to your Cbeyond provided Web hosting space. This may be done by you
or your web designer.
STOP If you do not have an existing Website, you will need to contact your own website designer.
3 Ensure your new website is visible on the Cbeyond provided IP Address and redirect your domain
to the Cbeyond provided IP Address before you delete your previous Web hosting account.

Step
> Using your Username, Password and IP Address, your web designer will upload your files (existing or
newly created) with the program that fits the needs of your business (for example Microsoft
Expression/FrontPage or FTP client).
STOP Cbeyond does not support Cold Fusion.
Note: For initial upload, it is common to use the IP Address because your domain still references your
current active website.

> Ensure the website files that you uploaded on
the Cbeyond provided IP address are visible,
type your IP address into an Internet browser
command line, like you would a URL
(for example, http://161.58.154.150).

> Direct your domain name’s Address Record
(A Record) to the Cbeyond provided IP
address where you just uploaded your files.
TIP:
You will want to add
an Address Record (A
Record) for your domain
with and without the
“www”.
If you are not transferring your domain name
to Cbeyond, have your domain’s administrative
contact (this is the vendor or person who
originally registered the domain on your
behalf) complete this step. Ask your provider
to direct your domain name to the Cbeyond
provided IP address.
If you are purchasing a domain or transferring an existing domain to Cbeyond, login to cbeyondonline.net
click on My Services > DOMAIN NAME SERVICES and add or change the IP Address of your domain name
to the IP Address Cbeyond has provided.
Note: After directing your domain to the Cbeyond provided IP address, make arrangements with your former
hosting provider to close your account.
