Canada and the US from coast to coast….The friends that
we’ve all made through those years and the stories we all
tell throughout the year! This year we want to be as grand
as we can and bring you more wonderful entertainment,
more fun and many more memories….
Friday night it will be a great doo-wop kind of night
with The Crests featuring Tommy Mara…
“16 Candles” which rose to no. 2 on Billboard Hot 100
chart in 1959 selling over a million copies which makes it a
Gold Record. Many other hits like Step by Step...the Angels Listened In...Maria...you
will need to come and listen for
yourself...Great night of great
music!! Then you have to see
our next guest artist...Johnny
Contardo... Former lead singer
of Sha-na-na….Lots of music
and then don’t forget Rocky and
the Rollers are there to rock
your socks off each night too…
That brings us to Saturday
night….Ok...Get yourself ready
for Frankie Avalon ...great hits
like…”Venus”… “Bobbysocks
to Stockings” and “Why” the
last # one record of the 1950’s to reach that status in
December 1959. Mr. Avalon has appeared in over 30
movies from “The Alamo” to “Grease”! Starred with
Annette Funicello in Beach Movies…..Tours with
“ The Golden Boys” (friends he grew up with in
Philly ...Fabian and Bobby Rydell). Could it not get any
better, well yes let’s add “The Dixie Cups” …“Iko Iko” ..
“The Chapel of Love” … “Going to the Chapel” the year
was 1964 one of the most played and popular of the girl
groups!!
And let’s not forget we have the Best Band on the
Planet… “Rocky and the Rollers” and the Best MC/ DJ in
the Universe “Al Brady” what’s not to tell you to “Come
on let’s get this Party started”…… There is going to be a

Going from your Hotel to the Fairgrounds and
back again for the shows the bus schedules will
be at the front desk of your hotel for your convenience…remember one bus time on Friday
and Two on Saturday...
Sometimes we wonder if our Sponsors and those folks who give
any donation no matter the size...the businesses that give what they
can ...if they know what it means to us and our community??
There are not enough words to express what it means to us to be a
large representative for our town...This event happens because of
the participants, the volunteers, donors, sponsors and every smile
on every little kid that loves the rev of the engines going thru the
parade...the list goes on and on...So no matter your part in this
weekend is…”THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART THE PAST

one person to make sure of those spots you
would like and will be there all the time (our
volunteers could not do this). Make sure you
tell them you are here for the 50’s weekend...

else concerning signing up and answering all
your questions...it’s almost like a Chinese fire
