MANAGEMENT
Eliminate bulky hard copy files with the
powerful, time saving and exceptionally
easy to use document server. It enables you
to electronically store all your frequently
used documents onto the internal hard disk
of the Gestetner DSc224 or DSc232 quickly
and safely. They can then be recalled at any
time instantly and effortlessly through your
desktop PC or from the control panel. Also
available is DeskTopBinder software, which
allows you to easily manage, view and
reproduce documents stored on the document
server. It brings you one integrated tool to
manage documents from different sources
and locations, thereby increasing your
document communications efficiency
and productivity.
HIGH RESOLUTION SCANNING
With the network scanning option you can
quickly and conveniently scan multi-page
or even double-sided documents through
the document feeder. Larger size or
unusually shaped originals or books and
other three-dimensional objects are equally
quick and easy to scan from the platen.
Once scanned, the original can be simply
incorporated into any document you are
preparing on-screen or sent to any other
network user. For even greater efficiency a
scan to e-mail function enables scanned
documents to be delivered to any e-mail
address directly from the control panel.
THE CREATIVE POWER OF COLOUR
Mono print is perfectly adequate for most
daily office needs. However, when preparing
important documents like presentations
and reports, you sometimes need the eyecatching impact and creative flexibility of
colour, which means yet another machine.
With the DSc224 and DSc232 you get both
– mono productivity, plus the added value
and flair of colour copy, print and scan.
Colour quality monitoring ensures superb
and consistent colour output on every page.
For cost and security management, the use
of colour can be restricted to authorised
personnel only. All your mono and colour
needs answered in one innovative, space
saving unit.
FAST, COST EFFECTIVE FAXING
The optional fax module is quick, productive
and very economical. Quick and Speed Dial
features, as well as fast scanning, minimise
time spent at the machine. The super-quick
G3 or ISDN transmission times, speed
your faxes to their destination, delivering
significant cost savings, especially on
overseas traffic. The JBIG compression
option enables transmission speeds to be
reduced further for international or heavy
fax traffic, saving even more costs. Faxing
can also be routed directly from your
desktop with the PC fax facility.
VERSATILE PAPER HANDLING OPTIONS
Double-sided (duplex) digital copying and
printing is another productivity boosting and
cost saving option, on paper sizes from A5
up to A3. Thick, multi-sheet documents are
reduced to half the number of pages, saving
storage space and reducing postal costs.
Double-sided documents can also be
scanned quickly and stored on the hard disk.
The DSc224 and DSc232 both have rotate
sorting as standard, so collation of multipage documents is fast and effortless.
For even greater document production
power there is a choice of two finisher
options. Depending on the demands of your
particular workflow you can choose from
the standard 500 sheet finisher, or the
1,000 sheet finisher, with a choice of
staple positions. For fast, high volume copy
printing the 2,600 sheet capacity (when all
options are taken) is the answer; add it all
together for a total, tailor-made solution
for creating professional, fully finished
print work in mono, full colour or a
mix of both.
