Water purifying system - multipurpose filtering system
This modern water purifying system is based on sorption method, providing superior filtration of active chlorine, organic impurities, heavy metal ions,
rust and unpleasant smell. Advantages include high filtration rate (25 l/min),

The filter housings
The filter housings are manufactured in three sizes. Depending on the used cartridge the system can fulfil different water purifying tasks with various filtration
rates and efficiency.
Compact design of the smaller models enables them to also be installed in tight
conditions. Thanks to the unique wall bracket and quick connector it is easy to
replace the cartridge even in difficult to reach places.

Aqualen®
patented fibre adsorbents
Aqualen® is based on a new generation chelating ion-exchange fibre adsorbent.
Thanks to its special design it reacts with heavy metal ions 780 times better than
with calcium and magnesium ions. This means that even very hard water does
not obstruct of quicksilver, tin, copper and cadmium ions removal.
Dynamic recovery method of silver
Unique dynamic recovery method of silver is used in AQUAPHOR® filter mixes.
Initially silver is bind in Aqualen® in the most active form, i.e. as ions. This enables the bacteriostatic efficiency of the filter to be increased and at the same
time its silver content to be reduced.
Filtering efficiency
Ordinary carbon block has several disadvantages. As carbon is largely waterrepellent, it creates channel effects and “dead” spaces. Due to this filter efficiency
may fall down to 50%.
AQUAPHOR® active carbon blocks contain Aqualen® and thus they are free
from mentioned disadvantages. As Aqualen® is very water-retaining, such a carbon block may be viewed as a water conducting ion-exchange matrix containing
active carbon granules. As a result water flows through the entire filter.
Filtering without pressure losses
Thanks to these fibres, which are very water-repellent AQUAPHOR® filter cartridges are characterised by reduced hydrodynamic resistance and increased filtering speed. Such cartridges have excellent water purifying properties with
minimum pressure losses.

Size of the activated carbons particles which are used in the Aquaphor filters is several times
smaller than the activated carbon particles in the traditional water filters.
It allows the effective outer surface and speed of adsorption to be increased.
The gaps between the particles are filled with the ion-exchange fibres.

The main reason of superior performance of all Aqualen® filters is Aqualen® fibres compressed with the powder activated carbon and ion-exchange resins.
Bacteriostatic effect
Bacteriostatic testing of pitcher filters according to the NSF 42 method.
Patented bacteriostatic Aqualen® fibres comprise imbedded silver micro crystals and silver
ions.
Silver migrates between Aqualen® fibres and the outer surface of the activated carbon particles.
A very small and constant concentration of silver is present in the filtered water as result.

Installation
The filtering system is installed in the location cold and hot water pipes enter into
the apartment (1) ensuring that all incoming water is perfectly clean with end filtering rate of 5 microns. If you have independent water heating systems you can
install only the filter for the cold-water entrance.
If you do not want a separate drinking water filter with a separate tap in your
kitchen, in order not to drill a hole in your sink, you can install a special Viking filter (2) in the pipe under the mixer and all water in your kitchen turns into excellent
drinkable water (1 micron of finish purification efficiency).

Replacement cartridges for purifying drinking water
The cartridge is made of a carbon block of differential porosity acting by the sorption principle. Water shall be perfectly purified not only from rust, sand and other
non-soluble additives and active chlorine but also from phenol, heavy metals and
pesticides.
The chemists of the quality control laboratory are highly experienced. This laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art analytical devices including an atomic
spectrometer, capillary electrophoresis, gas chromatograph, UV spectrometers
and filter quality testing systems according to the NFS 42, NSF 53 and EPA microbiological protocols.
All products and their production are certified for purifying drinking tap water by
the national State Certification Agency.
The water filters have been tested and approved for sale in several EU countries,
South Korea, Singapore and other countries.
