Take a little good advice from an old farmer:
Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and
bull-strong.
Keep skunks and bankers at a distance.
Life is simpler when you plow around the stump.
A bumble bee is considerably faster than a John
Deere tractor.
Words that soak into your ears are whispered not
yelled.
Meanness don’t happen overnight.
Forgive your enemies: it messes up their head.

Do not corner something that you know is meaner
than you.

Every path has a few puddles.
When you wallow with pigs, expect to get dirty.
Most of the stuff people worry about ain’t never
gonna happen anyway.
Live a good, honorable life, then when you get older and think back, you’ll enjoy it a second time.

Don’t interfere with something that ain’t bothering
you none.

How children perceive Grandparents......
When my grandson Billy and I entered our vacation cabin, we kept the lights off until we were
inside to keep from attracting pesky insects.
Still, a few fireflies followed us in. Noticing them
before I did, Billy whispered, "It's no use
Grandpa. Now the mosquitoes are coming after
us with flashlights."
Scraper, Grader and Dozer
A grandfather was delivering his grandchildren
to their home one day when a fire truck zoomed
past. Sitting in the front seat of the fire truck
was a Dalmatian dog. The children started discussing the dog's duties.
"They use him to keep crowds back," said one
child.
"No," said another. "He's just for good luck.."
A third child brought the argument to a
close."They use the dogs," she said firmly, "to
find the fire hydrants."

A 6-year-old was asked where his grandma
lived. "Oh," he said, "she lives at the airport,
and when we want her, we just go get her. Then,
when we're done having her visit, we take her
back to the airport."
Grandpa is the smartest man on earth! He
teaches me good things, but I don't get to see
him enough to get as smart as him!

People think I’m crazy when I talk to my cat, What
am I supposed to do – ignore him when he asks me
a question?
When you are blessed financially, don’t raise your
standard of living – raise your standard of giving. –
Mark Batterson

you have taught them to do for themselves, that
will make them successful human beings.” – Ann
