You must submit the Application for Graduation by April 8 to be eligible to claim tickets. A limited amount of additional tickets may be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis depending on availability. For guests without tickets, we are offering on-campus alternate viewing in the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium in Tuttle North, where the ceremony will be streamed live. For those with friends and family that are unable to come to campus, the graduate and undergraduate Commencement ceremonies will be streamed live on the College’s website. Your friends and family will be able to watch you graduate from anywhere in the world. Make sure you invite them to join us! Receptions will be held immediately following each ceremony. Meet up with your family and friends, introduce your guests to faculty and staff, and take commemorative photos. Light refreshments will be served. Questions? (You must submit the Application for Graduation first. Allow 1–2 business days for processing.) q Inform your family and friends of the dates and details. q Register for senior year events and programs. q Complete the online registration form to attend the Senior BBQ. q Order your class ring and announcements at www.balfour.com. q Stop by the Commencement Fair: March 22 and 23 in the Union. q Claim your undergraduate ceremony tickets April 18–May 8 by logging on to the ticketing website, brockportcommencement.com. If you need additional tickets, log on to the ticketing website beginning May 10 at 4 pm. Are there senior events at the end of the year? What services does Brockport offer to prepare me as a young professional? All these questions and more can be answered at the Commencement Fair! Talk with The Graduate School, Career Services, Conferences and Events, and the Golden Eagle Senior Council (GESC). You can also record a thank-you message to loved ones that will be shown at the undergraduate Commencement ceremonies. A dollar from each cap and gown sold at the Bookstore during the Fair will be contributed to the Make Your Mark Senior Class Giving Campaign. Services for Graduates and Families Senior BBQ The Senior BBQ is a celebratory event for graduates and their families, taking place 3:30–6 pm on Friday, May 13, the evening prior to Commencement, in Brockway Dining Hall. Filled with good food, music, and mingling, you don’t want to miss this event! Also, graduates receive a gift from the Brockport Alumni Association. Reservations are required by Monday, May 9. Graduating students who register in advance eat free. Cost for guests is $10 per person (free for ages 5 and under). Sign up today at alumni.brockport.edu/seniorbbq. Present your graduate with a beautiful bouquet of yellow roses and baby’s breath on Commencement day! Each bouquet will be tied with a green ribbon to match The College at Brockport’s school colors. Bouquets will be ready for pick-up at each ceremony, at our clearly marked station near the entrance to the SERC. Caps and Gowns All undergraduate ceremony participants must wear green caps and gowns, and graduate ceremony participants must wear black caps and gowns. Both sets may be purchased from the Bookstore in the Seymour College Union beginning March 22. No advanced order is necessary; sizes are assigned by height. Undergraduate sets are $53.98. A master’s set with hood is $74.98. The Certificate of Advanced Study sash is also available for $21.98.
