Suitable for most jacket materials
Using the 1903 to strip a cable jacket is simple. First, select the correct cable guide for the size of cable
you need to strip. Then, set the blade depth using the knurled knob. Make sure the depth is deep
enough to cut the jacket, but not quite deep enough to score the cable. Then put the tool onto the cable
and turn it around three or four times to ring the cable. Now turn the tool body and blade to either make
a spiral or longitudinal cut to the cable end. When this is done, use the hook at the end of the cable
guide to begin peeling off the jacket. Once the jacket removal is started, you can peel it the rest of the
way by hand.
