Matthias Schaub started his motorcycling career as a young man thrashing around the streets and country side
of Germany, his home country. When he wasn’t working he was spending his free time with his friends riding and
wrenching on motorcycles. As he got older he began racing the European circuits with success, it was his passion.
It was such a passion that he use to spend his vacations with his motorcycle in Nürburg, Germany, the home of the
Nürburgring, widely considered the toughest, most dangerous, and most demanding purpose-built racing circuit
in the world. Many people go to the beach but Matthias spent it on the race track.
After engineering school, and spending 15 years as an aircraft engineer with one of the biggest aircraft
manufacturers in the world, he moved to the United States and soon gave birth to Spiegler Performance Parts.
His training and experience in the aircraft industry provided the knowledge to design and develop the best
stainless steel braided brake lines systems in the world. His passion for motorcycling is unfailing as he continues
after 16 years to build the Spiegler brand.
The staff at Spiegler has the same enthusiasm and passion for motorcycling. Some very accomplished racers
such as Robert Jensen and some just enjoy the sport, but in all, they are dedicated to providing the best possible
products and service to you.
David Horn manages inventory reduction and is one of our top product technicians. As an ex-Motocross racer
Dave knows and loves dirt.
Robert Jensen manages the development of our new brake line kits and is also our motogadget and suspension
specialist. A racer and holder of numerous track records, Robert is also in charge of the race support program.
Brian Hart manages inventory reduction and is responsible for all dealer develoment. Brian loves music and plays
the guitar.
Kellie Powell manages accounts receivable and our website. Kellie enjoys family and friends at church, traveling
and making charcoal art pieces.
David Langford is our stainless steel braided brake line master craftsman and loves drag bikes with long swing
arms and spikes.
Douglas Hastings manages shipping and receiving of all packages and helps in brake line production.
And... he loves riding his Harley-Davidson.

High-Pressure Test - Forces brake fluid into lines and fittings
to measure the ability of Spiegler Brake Lines to exceed DOT
standards.
Tensile Strength Test - Attempts to pull apart brake lines
and fittings to measure the strength of our materials and
construction. This test convinced us that we could lift a bike
using just one brake line and fitting.
Whip Test - Spins a brake line and fitting for hours and hours to
ensure its ability to withstand years of use on the road or the
track.

OF PERFORMANCE
So how strong are Spiegler Brake Lines?
We know from our own testing how many pounds of pulling force a
Spiegler Brake Line can handle. We could quote you a number and
leave at that. . . factual but boring.
Our ever ingenious President, Matthias Schaub, came up with an
idea, "Let's hang a bike in the air using one of our brake lines".
So, we attached one end of a single blue Spiegler Brake Line to the
front wheel of a Suzuki SV1000S weighing 460 lbs and the other end
to fork lift operated by the famed racer Robert Jensen.
Slowly we raised the front wheel until the entire bike was free of
terra firma. For the next 14 minutes the bike hung in the air while we
scrambled about taking video and still photos to record the event
so we could share it with you. Then we lowered it to the ground.
So how strong are Spiegler Brake Lines?

and fitting colors. Got a vintage ride or a custom bike? We’ll build to any specifications.

Standard Spiegler Brake Line Kits include all items needed
to install the brake lines onto the bike. Items such as
crush washers, adjusting tools and banjo bolts may be
included, depending on the brake line configuration.
Banjo Bolts are included where needed. Mounting
