Up for sale are 2 EXTREMELY RARE Charvel matching graphic guitars.
The Star Body 6 string has the 5 digit serial number. The Explorer Bass has a 6 digit serial number that I have never seen before. We ordered these guitars at the same time. They both
manufactured in 1981. We ordered them with matching spider web graphics. These guitars are in very good shape. Ready to go!
The Star Body 6 string serial number is 19020
The Explorer Bass serial number is 110002

These 5 digit Charvel guitars are the first to have a serial number stamped onto the back plate. In addition to the serial number, the Charvel logo and the
Dimas address were also stamped on the neck plate. These 5 digit Charvels are very rare and appear to have been made only INTERMITTENLY
a MONTH or TWO commencing around 1981.
The Explorer Bass has a 6 digit serial number that really is not talked about on the different charvel sites on the internet. Very rare also!
After the 5 digit serial numbered Charvels were made for a month or two, they went back to the solid brass plates until they introduced the 4 digit serial
number Charvels in 1981.

Before the 5 digit serial number plates, there were the solid brass neck plates that were found on the PRE-SERIALIZED (prepro) Charvel guitars that we
manufactured between 1979 and 1981.
The Star Body Charvel, (6 string) has a original FLOYD ROSE on it!! This Charvel is totally original except for the Seymore Duncan pickup. It has a th
maple neck that has never had a fret replacement. Also, it has the Fender head stock that is painted black to match the guitar. Take a look at the photos..
says it all!!
The Explorer Bass is very unique. The bass has a maple neck with banjo like tuners!! Also, it has the Explorer styled head stock that is painted black. It
pickups and a brass bridge. Very cool.
These 2 guitars complement each other. They are ready to play on stage if you would like to gig with them or put them on display. They draw a crowd!!
They both have Charvel guitar cases that came from the factory. They are big cases and are in good shape.
Stan and I played these 2 guitar through the 80's. We are the Fritz twin's from Omaha NE. Randy Rhodes saw us playing these guitars in 1981. He could
believe his eyes that 2 guys in Omaha NE had these Charvels in the midwest. He told me that his guitars did not have the Floyd Rose systems yet and G
Jackson was designing a Randy Rhodes model. Just a little history on these guitars. Pretty cool.
