The self-expression, joy, and unity that
Mardi Gras brings to Haitians have
inspired HALO to choose this year as its
2009’s cultural event theme. The various
cultural and artistic aspects which
make Mardi Gras in Haiti such a unique
experience were present that night.
ENTRANCE AND RECEPTION COMMITTEE
The next generation emphasizes the
focus that HALO has taken over the past
four years to help prepare the
upcoming leadership which is destined
a primary role, not only in the Diaspora,
but also in Haiti. The future of the Haitian
communities all over the world remains
with the next generation. HALO is
setting proper examples by including
the younger generation in our daily
activities and professional life in order
for them to receive positive guidance
and direction.

“So often we overlook the worth of those
who are not in professional jobs, or
those who are not in the so called big
jobs. But let me say to you that
whenever we are engaged in work that
serves humanity, and is for the building
of humanity, it has dignity and it has
worth”.
