After a terrible tragedy, a mysterious girl makes an unwelcome
return.

A year after the tragic car crash which claimed both of their
parents, the lives of Stijn and his sister Brecht are still shaped by
their terrible loss. While the mysterious and beautiful Anna is
seemingly to blame for what happened, Stijn feels guilty and
Brecht, herself a victim, tries to offer her beloved brother her
fullest support in everything he does.

BETWEEN
BETWEEN est un film dans lequel les vies de deux ex-amants,
maintenant quadragénaires, sont mises en contraste frappant
avec celle de leur fils adolescent.
BETWEEN is a film in which the lives of two ex-lovers, now in their
mid-forties, are contrasted starkly with that of their teenage son.
This story has three plotlines and three major characters - two
ex-lovers and their son Isaac.
The first plotline is about the mid-forties generation, focussing
on Martin and Roos who barely have the time to raise their
children properly. The second plotline is about the generation of
children who must take care of themselves, and we see life
through the eyes of Isaac who lives a solitary and disciplined life
within his own bedroom. The third plotline consists of short
portraits of members of Isaac’s peer group who, unlike Isaac, are
quite open about their feelings.
L’histoire comporte trois lignes narratives et trois protagonistes :
deux ex-amants et leur fils Isaac.
La première ligne se focalise sur la génération des
quadragénaires, surtout Martin et Roos qui ont à peine le temps
d’élever correctement leurs enfants. La seconde ligne suit la
génération des enfants qui doivent se débrouiller tous seuls, et
nous voyons la vie par les yeux d’Isaac, qui passe une existence
solitaire et bien réglée entre les murs de sa chambre à coucher.
La troisième ligne se compose de brefs portraits de membres du
groupe de jeunes du même âge qu’Isaac, qui, contrairement à
lui, parlent assez franchement de leurs sentiments.
The film illustrates the dilemmas of modern life, contrasting
Isaac’s silence with the verbal violence of his parents and
articulacy of his peers.
Le film reflète les dilemmes de la vie moderne, faisant contraster

BONTEKOE’S YOUNG SAILORS
Three boys embark on their first sea voyage and find themselves
shipwrecked on a tropical island.
Trois adolescents embarquent pour leur premier voyage et se
retrouvent naufragés sur une île tropicale.
Hajo, Padde and Rolf, teenagers from a Dutch harbour town set
out to sea as members of Captain Bontekoe’s crew. The ship is
bound for exotic lands, and every day introduces the boys to
new challenges.
When approaching Java, a fire breaks out which destroys the
ship. The boys manage to reach land but it’s not the haven they
expected. The island natives are intent on killing them, but one
of the local girls, Dolimah, befriends the boys and leads them on
a perilous journey through the jungle to safety.
Hajo and Rolf desperately want Dolimah to return with them but
she is too afraid of the unknown world beyond her island. So the
boys continue without her and finally reach Bontekoe who, in his
new boat, is about to set sail back to Holland.

néerlandaise, prennent la mer en tant que membres de
l’équipage du Capitaine Bontekoe. Le navire est en route pour
des pays exotiques, et chaque journée présente de nouveaux
défis aux jeunes matelots.
Près de Java, un incendie éclate et détruit le navire. Les garçons
réussissent à gagner la côte, mais ils n’arrivent pas au port qu’ils
espéraient. Les indigènes de l’île sont déterminés à les tuer, mais
l’une des filles du pays, Dolimah, se lie d’amitié avec les garçons
et les conduit en lieu sûr durant un voyage dangereux à travers
la jungle.
Hajo et Rolf veulent de tout leur cœur que Dolimah rentre avec
eux, mais elle a trop peur du monde inconnu au-delà de son île.
Du coup, les garçons continuent sans elle et ils finissent par
rejoindre Bontekoe qui est sur le point de repartir aux Pays-Bas,
dans son nouveau navire.

Hannah is the black sheep of a large family, the middle child of
seven. When it comes to organizing her parents’ 40th

When the elderly Thijs meets a vivacious Flemish woman he finds
the happiness he never again thought possible.
Quand Thijs, un vieil homme, rencontre une Flamande enjouée, il

Thijs, a widower, finds a new partner through a small ad and, in
order to truly win over the vivacious Jackie, he learns to rock ‘n’
roll. At the same time, his grandson Omar falls madly in love with
Meral, but he can only win her affections if he manages to beat
her brother in a bout of oil wrestling.
Thijs comes to Omar’s aid and teaches him to fight. Meanwhile
Omar’s mother and aunt watch his efforts and those of their
father with disdain - but really both women are incredibly
jealous.

annonce et, pour vraiment s’attacher la dynamique Jacky, il
apprend à danser le rock. En même temps, son petit-fils Omar

KICKS
A heart-warming film that notes the differences between people,
but mostly emphasises their similarities.
Un film réconfortant qui constate les différences entre les gens,
mais souligne surtout leurs ressemblances.
KICKS is a gritty but hilarious kaleidoscopic look at present-day
Holland. While at times confrontational, the film also takes a
witty look at the emotional dilemmas, fears, expectations and
misunderstandings that exist in a multicultural society. The
actors of Moroccan descent who starred in the successful SHOUF
SHOUF HABIBI! are now joined by a collection of native Dutch
actors.
KICKS porte un regard kaléidoscopique, réaliste mais hilarant, sur
les Pays-Bas contemporains. Le film nous interpelle parfois,
mais il envisage aussi avec humour les dilemmes émotionnels,
les peurs, les attentes et les malentendus d’une société
multiculturelle. Les acteurs d’origine marocaine qui tenaient la
vedette dans le film très bien accueilli SHOUF SHOUF HABIBI! y
jouent aux côtés d’un groupe d’acteurs néerlandais de souche.
A host of characters, both funny and serious, are observed by
two young Moroccan Dutchmen. All represent some layer of
Dutch society: a beautiful upper class girl sets out to meet a
‘real’ immigrant, a filmmaker tries to make a film about the fate
of asylum seekers and fails spectacularly, a Moroccan-Dutch
army sergeant searches for true love and a young homeless
shelter assistant seeks happiness outside the familiar ground of
her family and her workplace.
Deux jeunes Néerlandais d’origine marocaine observent une
multitude de personnages, à la fois drôles et sérieux. Ils
représentent tous une couche de la société néerlandaise : une
belle jeune fille bourgeoise entreprend de rencontrer un
« authentique » immigré, un cinéaste essaie de réaliser un film
sur le sort des demandeurs d’asile et essuie un échec cuisant,
un sergent néerlandais-marocain recherche le véritable amour et
une jeune assistante de foyer pour sans-abri cherche le bonheur
hors du cercle familier de sa famille et de son travail.

Love is like Santa Claus: you have to believe in it, otherwise it will
not work.

Following her husband’s infidelity with their son’s teacher,
Klaasje falls for a teenage Don Juan. Her best friend Simone
seems happy with her own husband but her tenacious striving
for perfection is beginning to take its toll on the marriage. Kiki is
in love too, and enjoying her fling with Prince Valentijn, the most
eligible prince within the Dutch royal family. Kees, an undertaker,
and lifeguard Victor are in love. They intend to get married soon,
but now Kees seems to be holding back.
All the story-lines within this romantic comedy are linked to a
greater or lesser degree. But sooner or later, every character
ends up meeting Jan, the hero of this film, who, in his role of
deus ex machina, sees to it that, in the end, love conquers all.
À la suite de l’infidélité de son mari avec l’institutrice de leur fils,
Klaasje tombe amoureuse d’un don Juan adolescent. Sa
meilleure amie, Simone, semble satisfaite de son propre mari,
mais sa manie de la perfection commence à nuire sérieusement
à leur mariage. Kiki est également amoureuse et elle savoure son
aventure avec le prince Valentijn, le meilleur parti de la famille
royale néerlandaise. Kees, un entrepreneur des pompes
funèbres, est amoureux de Victor, un maître nageur. Ils ont
l’intention de se marier bientôt, mais maintenant, il semblerait
que Kees tergiverse.
Toutes les intrigues de cette comédie romantique sont liées plus
ou moins étroitement. Mais, tôt ou tard, tous les personnages
finissent par rencontrer Jan, le héros du film qui, dans son rôle
de deus ex machina, veille à ce que, à la fin, l’amour sorte

An absurd story about the inability of western man to empathize
with disrupted communities and their pain.

In a large country house, somewhere in a warm Mediterranean
country, a group of five young people have retreated to embrace
their greatest passion, literature. The peace and quiet is
disrupted however when a group of African boat refugees pays
them a visit. The country residence, such a serene location for a
decadent western idyll, is suddenly turned into an aid-station.
Dans une demeure de campagne, dans un pays au climat
méditerranéen, un groupe de cinq jeunes gens se sont isolés
pour s’adonner à leur plus grande passion, la littérature.
Cependant, leur tranquillité est troublée lorsqu’un groupe de
réfugiés africains arrivés en bateau leur rendent visite. Le manoir,
décor serein idéal d’un séjour bucolique emprunt de décadence
occidentale, se transforme brusquement en poste de secours.

Olivier was born with only one ventricle in his heart, a condition
that leaves him with a life expectancy of no more than 30 years.
He is now 26 and copes with the situation by trying to live life to
the full.
Olivier’s parents support him financially as he constantly repeats
his first year at university. Why waste time on an education from
which he will never benefit?
Everything changes however when Olivier has successful surgery
and finds himself confronted with a future he never thought he
would have. He is faced with the new expectations that
everybody seems to have of him, and from one moment to the
next he is forced to reconsider his lifestyle.

financièrement. Et pourquoi perdrait-il son temps à faire des
études qui ne lui serviront jamais à rien ?
Tout change lorsqu’ Olivier rencontre un médecin qui pense
pouvoir l’aider. Il subit une intervention chirurgicale qui s’avère
une totale réussite. Alors que tout son entourage est ravi, Olivier
se retrouve aux prises avec un avenir dont il n’avait jamais pensé
disposer. Sans transition, il doit reconsidérer son style de vie.
Avant qu’Olivier ait pu digérer ce qui lui est arrivé, le combat
contre la mort se transforme en lutte contre la vie et les
nouvelles responsabilités qui en ont découlé.

late sixties.

The Brazilian Michel Angelo is a former hit man who has turned
his back on his old life. When his master Giuseppe Trimboni
contacts him, he gets persuaded to do a final job in Amsterdam.
He gets involved in a drugwar and meets callgirl Paula Gireaux.
They both regret the choices they made in their lives. After a
violent shooting they meet a Brazilian boy named Luis and get
inspired to make a new start in life. Paula’s fate lies in the hands
of drugbaron Rudi Dancer with whom she has an evil deal. For
their freedom and the life of Luis, a high price must be paid.
Le Brésilien Michel Angelo est un ancien tueur à gages qui a
tourné le dos à son ancienne vie. Quand son patron Giuseppe
Trimboni le contacte, il se laisse persuader de faire un dernier
coup à Amsterdam. Il se retrouve impliqué dans une guerre de la
drogue et rencontre la call-girl Paula Gireaux. Ils regrettent tous
deux les choix qu’ils ont faits dans leurs vies. Après une vive
fusillade, ils rencontrent un petit Brésilien nommé Luis, ce qui les
incite à prendre un nouveau départ dans la vie. Le sort de Paula
est entre les mains du narcotrafiquant Rudi Dancer, à qui elle est
liée par un contrat pervers. Il faudra payer très cher pour leur
liberté et la vie de Luis

Dalila, qui appartient au camp ennemi. Tous ses efforts pour
bannir cette femme de sa vie sont voués à l’échec et elle le
conquiert par son charme irrésistible. Au cours d’un grand duo
d’amour passionné, elle lui arrache le secret de sa force, et dès
ce moment, il devient le jouet impuissant de son ennemi.
Sa Dalila bien-aimée ne rate pas une occasion de l’humilier
publiquement devant tout son peuple, pour accroître sa propre
gloire. Pourtant, Dieu n’a pas oublié Samson et il lui rend sa
force une ultime fois. Samson rassemble ses dernières forces et
parvient à s’ensevelir lui-même ainsi que ses ennemis dans

Samson, who has ceaselessly led his people to victory and who
seems to be imbued with inexhaustible strength, is seduced by
the beautiful Delilah from the opposing camp. All attempts to
banish this woman from his life are doomed to failure and she
conquers him with her irresistible charm. In the heat of
passionate lovemaking she wrests the secret of his strength from
him, at which point he becomes the impotent plaything of his
enemy.
His beloved Delilah takes every opportunity to humiliate him
publicly in front of her whole people, to the greater glory of
herself. God, however, who has not forgotten Samson, restores
his strength one final time. Mustering his last ounce of strength,
Samson succeeds in casting himself and the enemy into
oblivion.

After SIMON (2004), SEXTET: DUTCH BEDTIME STORIES is the second
part of Eddy Terstall’s trilogy chronicling contemporary Dutch
society.
One story is about a lesbian couple trying to be discriminated
against, in the same way as they discriminate against their
Moroccan neighbours. Another is about a beautiful girl doing her
best to be rejected on a date, acting as wretchedly as she
possibly can. A third is about a famous Dutch writer who has a
nightly adventure with a young Dutch woman - or is she just a
groupie?
These stories form a film in which the actors and locations serve
as constant and fixed elements. But at the same time each story
is independent and marked by its own style. And it is all set in
Amsterdam. A small and sexy film.
Après SIMON (2004), SEXTET : DUTCH BEDTIME STORIES forme le
deuxième volet de la trilogie d’Eddy Tersatll présentant une
chronique de la société néerlandaise contemporaine.
L’une des histoires parle d’un couple de lesbiennes qui essaient
d’être frappées d’ostracisme de la même façon qu’elles
discriminent leurs voisins marocains. Un autre récit a pour sujet
une fille superbe qui s’évertue à se faire rejeter lors d’un rendezvous en se comportant aussi mal que possible. Une troisième
histoire porte sur un écrivain néerlandais célèbre qui a une
aventure nocturne avec une jeune Néerlandaise – où s’agit-il tout
bêtement d’une groupie ?
Ces nouvelles constituent un film où les acteurs et les décors
servent d’éléments immuables. Mais, en même temps, chaque
récit est indépendant et caractérisé par son propre style. Tout se
passe à Amsterdam. Un petit film sexy.

Herman Brood added the rock ‘n’ roll.

WILD ROMANCE is the first Dutch rock ‘n’ roll movie and is filled
with the musical energy of Herman Brood and his band Wild
Romance. The film focuses on the roaring seventies in
Amsterdam and describes the moving story of two country kids
in the 1970s, Brood and his ubiquitous manager Koos van Dijk,
who were determined to conquer Amsterdam and America with
their music.
WILD ROMANCE est le premier film de rock néerlandais, débordant
de l’énergie musicale d’Herman Brood et de son groupe Wild
Romance. Le film se concentre sur les délirantes années
soixante-dix à Amsterdam et raconte l’histoire émouvante de
deux jeunes de la campagne dans les années 1970 : Brood et
son omniprésent manager Koos, qui étaient bien décidés à
conquérir Amsterdam et les États-Unis avec leur musique.
With the use of plenty of music and humour the film describes
his success, the “sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll” lifestyle, the
albums and the tour of America that very soon turned into a
nightmare, and above all the friendship between two very
different characters who shared an absolute love of pure rock
music.
Avec de la musique et de l’humour à foison, le film décrit son
succès, le style de vie « sexe, drogues et rock’n’roll », les
albums et la tournée en Amérique, qui a vite tourné au

While on the trail of an extremely rare butterfly, the ZOOP
rangers save the South American rainforest from total
destruction.
Alors qu’ils sont sur la piste d’un papillon extrêmement rare, les
rangers ZOOP sauvent la forêt amazonienne de la destruction
totale.
When the ZOOP rangers are asked to find an extremely rare
species of butterfly in South America, they initially split up into
two groups. A number of rangers pay a visit to the members of
the expedition that originally found the butterflies. The others go
into the tropical rain forest to seek out the butterflies themselves.
Both groups face dangers such as crocodiles, tarantulas, tango
competitions, a love-struck ape, stampeding cattle and a team
of Brazilian school children. It turns out that their client has left
them in the dark about her real criminal aspirations, which could
mean the complete destruction of the rainforest.
Meanwhile, Alwin and Sira have a passionate romantic
adventure... in one another’s dreams.
Lorsqu’on demande aux rangers ZOOP de trouver une espèce
de papillons extrêmement rare en Amérique du Sud, ils décident
au départ de se séparer en deux groupes. Plusieurs rangers
rendent visite aux membres de l’expédition qui avaient
découvert les papillons les premiers. Les autres pénètrent dans
la forêt tropicale pour trouver eux-mêmes les papillons.
Les deux groupes affrontent des dangers tels que des
crocodiles, des tarentules, des concours de tango, un singe
amoureux, des bestiaux en débandade et un groupe d’écoliers
brésiliens. Il s’avère que leur cliente leur a caché ses véritables
aspirations criminelles, qui pourraient aboutir à la destruction
totale de la forêt tropicale.
Pendant ce temps-là, Alwin et Sira vivent une aventure
romanesque passionnée… dans leurs rêves réciproques.

When a professional conman and his boss fall in love with the
same girl, two experts in the art of deception are forced to go
head-to-head.

When Erik meets the Youssef (25) in a kebab shop, he knows
that he has found a brilliant apprentice. Erik is the boss of Alibi,
a company that arranges perfect alibis for clients with a roving
eye. Youssef starts work as one of Erik’s “extraordinary
outsiders”, a team who can all talk themselves out of any
situation. They can imitate nurses, firemen or fishermen – they
will do anything to cover up the amorous escapades of their
clients. Youssef falls in love with Andrea, but what he doesn’t
realise is that Andrea is Erik’s new mistress. But when Erik asks
Youssef to keep his horny wife occupied, the young protege
suffers a crisis of conscience and the situation reaches a
comical climax when everyone ends up in the same hotel.

The first in a series of seven international family films based on

The story of Jimmy, an 11-year old European boy who goes to
Africa with his mother, a busy executive. One day Jimmy
encounters a mysterious talking giraffe named Seraf who tells
Jimmy about the rival indigenous tribes that are fighting over the
land. He also tells Jimmy that this tribal battle cannot easily be
avoided. Together with Charita, a poor African girl, Jimmy
embarks on an adventurous, magical and treacherous trip
through the jungle. Fortunately they find help, not only from
Seraf but in the form of a precious medallion. Throughout their
trip, they discover that they can only achieve their goal if they
truly believe in themselves and refuse to allow anybody or
anything get in their way….
L’histoire de Jimmy, un petit Européen âgé de 11 ans, qui part
en Afrique avec sa mère, une femme d’affaires très active. Un
jour, Jimmy rencontre une mystérieuse girafe douée de parole,
nommée Seraf, qui parle à Jimmy des tribus indigènes rivales
qui se battent pour les terres. Il dit aussi à Jimmy que ce combat
tribal n’est pas facile à éviter. En compagnie de Charita, une
pauvre Africaine, Jimmy s’embarque dans un voyage
aventureux, magique et périlleux à travers la jungle.
Heureusement, ils trouvent de l’aide, non seulement de Seraf,
mais aussi sous la forme d’un précieux médaillon. Durant leur
périple, ils découvrent que le seul moyen d’atteindre leur but,
c’est d’avoir vraiment confiance en soi et d’interdire à qui ou

eager to escape the damp and suffocating atmosphere of postwar Holland, are each looking forward to a new and brighter life
in New Zealand. They meet onboard the aircraft taking them to
meet their future husbands.
During the flight the three young women encounter Frank, who is
emigrating to New Zealand to work as a share farmer. In the
early years in their new country Marjorie, Esther and Ada remain
on good terms, but they gradually lose touch. It’s only after fifty
years, at Frank’s funeral, that they discover how much their lives
had become intertwined through their own unique relationships
with Frank.
1953. Trois jeunes Néerlandaises, Marjorie, Ada et Esther, désireuses d’échapper à l’atmosphère humide et suffocante des PaysBas d’après-guerre, se réjouissent à l’idée de commencer une
nouvelle vie plus gaie en Nouvelle Zélande. Elles font connaissance dans l’avion qui les emmène auprès de leurs futurs époux.
Pendant le vol, les trois jeunes femmes rencontrent Frank, qui
émigre en Nouvelle Zélande pour y devenir métayer. Durant leurs
premières années dans leur nouveau pays, Marjorie, Esther et
Ada restent en bons termes, mais avec le temps, elles se
perdent de vue. Ce n’est qu’au bout de cinquante ans, à
l’occasion de l’enterrement de Frank, qu’elles découvrent à quel
point leurs vies étaient imbriquées du fait des relations uniques
qu’elles entretenaient chacune avec Frank.

Professor Lupardi has invented a machine that will allow him to
control the world’s climate. Can Captain Rob succeed in
stopping this megalomaniac madman?
Le Professeur Lupardi a inventé une machine qui lui permettra

arrêter ce fou mégalomane ?
Captain Rob is a both a sailor and a secret agent. When he is
summoned to investigate an audacious gold heist he realises
that only one person can be responsible, his life-long enemy, the
mad scientist Lupardi.
Meanwhile it appears that Holland’s climate is fluctuating wildly.
There is a danger that the canals may freeze over in the spring,
and even though this will herald the rare ‘Elfstedentocht’ skating
race, it seems certain that Professor Lupardi is hatching an evil
plan. So Captain Rob sets out to thwart his dastardly nemesis.
But when the planet is set on a course towards total destruction,
even Rob could never have imagined the full extent of Lupardi’s
wickedness.
Capitaine Rob est à la fois marin et agent secret. Lorsqu’on le
charge d’enquêter sur un audacieux vol d’or, il comprend que la
seule personne qui puisse en être coupable est son ennemi de
toujours, le savant fou Lupardi.
Pendant ce temps-là, on remarque que le climat des Pays-Bas
fluctue énormément. Les canaux risquent de geler
complètement au printemps et cela aura beau permettre
l’exceptionnelle Elfstedentocht, la course des onze villes en patin
à glace, il paraît certain que le Professeur Lupardi trame un noir
complot. Du coup, Capitaine Rob entreprend de faire échouer
son infâme ennemi.
Mais, quand la planète est engagée sur la voie de la destruction
totale, Rob lui-même n’aurait jamais pu imaginer l’ampleur de la
perversité de Lupardi.

After QUI VIVE and POLONAISE, we meet again the Jewish family
and friends of writer Judith Herzberg and director Frans Weisz.
Simon, the head of the clan, is very ill, and his dearest family
and friends are struggling with their Jewish past. Why did they
survive and why did the others not come back? And why do
memories of their past return to continually haunt them?
But in this new episode the warm and egocentric older order is
confronted with the new generation, headed by Simon’s lively
18-year old son, Isaac. He has problems of his own and of a
very different nature. He wants to be in love, he wants to be a
good son and he wants to be a friend.
But how can he command the full indulgence of new girlfriends,
his dying father, his family and the new generation of youngsters
around him?

Lorsque Jan rencontre Kathleen, il est inexorablement entraîné

When Jan meets Kathleen, he is drawn inexorably into her life.
But is she using her love as a deadly weapon?
After a dreadful experience in Afghanistan, Jan becomes a
nature photographer. Whilst shooting rare mushrooms and birds
on the isle of Texel, he observes a gorgeous creature, Kathleen,
who emerges naked from the waves. The attraction is mutual.
However, Kathleen works for a shady, rich man nicknamed ‘The
Mummy’, with whom Jan suspects she is having an affair. He
also suspects that Kathleen is an unwilling stooge in a drug
smuggling sting that the Mummy is setting up. When Jan
manages to save Kathleen The Mummy ends up dead but a
vicious gang in pursuit of the vanished drugs is soon on Jan’s
trail.
Après une expérience horrible en Afghanistan, Jan devient
photographe de la nature. Pendant qu’il prend des photos de
champignons et d’oiseaux rares sur l’île de Texel, il remarque
une créature superbe, Kathleen, qui émerge nue des vagues.

arnaque au trafic de drogue que La Momie est en train de
manigancer. Quand Jan réussit à sauver Kathleen, La Momie
meurt, mais un dangereux gang à la recherche des drogues
volées est bientôt sur la piste de Jan.

After her daughter’s death, a grandmother fights for custody of
the grandson she never knew she had.
Après la mort de sa fille, une grand-mère se bat pour obtenir la
garde du petit-fils dont elle ignorait l’existence.
After years of working abroad, Melody, an ageing hotel chef,
returns to the backwater town of Fairlands to attend the funeral
of her estranged daughter.
When she gets there, she discovers that she has a grandson,
River, who commands a gang of feral kids. He wants to breed a
cavalry of ostriches on which he and his compatriots can ride.
Shocked by the slovenly state of Fairlands, Melody is convinced
that she must take River away but he resists, as does his
crippled father Scoop. The few women of the town turn against
Melody as well.
She is about to give up when she discovers that for years Scoop
has intercepted all the correspondence between her and her
daughter. She decides to confront him once more over custody
of her grandson.
Après avoir travaillé des années à l’étranger, Melody, chef de
cuisine vieillissante d’un hôtel, retourne à Fairlands, une ville
dans un coin perdu, pour assister à l’enterrement de sa fille avec
qui elle était brouillée.
À son arrivée, elle découvre qu’elle a un petit-fils, River, qui
dirige une bande de gamins sauvages. Il veut élever une écurie
d’autruches que lui-même et ses compatriotes pourront monter.
Horrifiée par le délabrement de Fairlands, Melody est
convaincue qu’elle doit emmener River, mais il résiste, tout
comme Scoop, son père infirme. Les rares femmes de la ville se
retournent aussi contre Melody.
Elle est sur le point d’abandonner quand elle découvre que
Scoop a intercepté depuis des années toute la correspondance

A woman struggling with her looks finds love in the arms of a
blind boy.

Blind is the story of Marie, a woman who is very unhappy with
the way she looks, and Ruben, a lonely and difficult boy, who
has been blind for most of his life. Marie has a beautiful voice
and shares with Ruben a passion for books. That is why Ruben’s
mother hires Marie to read stories to her son.
Blind raconte l’histoire de Marie, une femme très mécontente de
son apparence, et de Ruben, un jeune homme solitaire et difficile
qui est aveugle depuis la plus grande partie de sa vie. Marie a
une belle voix et, comme Ruben, elle a la passion des livres.
C’est pourquoi la mère de Ruben loue les services de Marie pour

A relationship slowly develops between these two outcasts. They
learn to love and trust each other. In Ruben’s mind Marie is a
beautiful woman and his mother is afraid to ruin this fantasy.
Marie too is afraid. For the first time in her life somebody thinks
she is beautiful, but when the doctor reveals that Ruben might
regain his sight Marie’s anxiety returns.

turned himself in so quickly. But at the end of the film, don’t be
surprised if the whole episode turns out to be just another love
story.
C’est l’histoire de Dennis P, le plus grand voleur de diamants
néerlandais, qui a dérobé la totalité du stock d’un diamantaire
international, dont la valeur s’élevait à 20 millions d’euros, en
utilisant un micro-ondes pour cacher son butin. Le film explique
les raisons de son hold-up mais aussi pourquoi il s’est rendu à la

DUNYA & DESIE IN MAROCCO
Two inseparable friends are forced to make an important choice
during a journey through Morocco.
Deux amies inséparables sont forcées de faire un choix important
au cours d’un voyage au Maroc.
Dunya and Desie, both teenagers, have grown up together in
Amsterdam. While adopted Desie is as Dutch as tulips, Dunya is
of Moroccan extraction, and has grown up with Ramadan,
imams and Mecca. On her 18th birthday Dunya is told that she
is to marry a second cousin from Morocco whom she will meet
during a family holiday.
Meanwhile Desie, who has been taking driving lessons, becomes
pregnant by her instructor, at which point she decides to find her
biological father. When she finds out that he is in Morocco,
Dunya and Desie decide to go and look for him together.
They soon find out that Morocco is not Amsterdam. Although
they enjoy some hilarious adventures they are soon forced to
make an important decision.

An incident at a top-brass army reception sees Rick Symons
banished to the 40th SAR squad on the Belgian coast. Rick’s

adversary with whom he has fallen out in the past.
It soon transpires that Rick had a special reason to contrive his

After a diving accident, Eva discovers something that will change
the lives of her and her family forever.
Après un accident, la plongeuse Eva découvre un secret qui
changera définitivement sa vie comme celle de sa famille.
Eva is an Olympic high-board diving champion. Peter is her
father, coach and mentor. During a competition dive she
suddenly sees a silhouette in the pool beneath her. She loses her
balance and bangs her head against the board, falling like a
stone into the water below. When she wakes up in hospital after
a two-week coma her father is by her side, as always. He wants
her to resume her career. Eva, however, doesn’t see things in the
same light. Because since her accident, her life has undergone
many changes - her brother has disappeared, her cat has died
and her mindset has been significantly altered.
She no longer wants to be under her father’s domination.
Instead, she must force herself to remember the sequence of
sinister events that led up to her accident.

When Tahmeena stumbles onto John’s isolated farm, he has no
choice but to take her in. An illegal refugee, she has been badly

Communicating through signs, pictures and a gradual
understanding of each other’s language, John and Tahmeena
begin to recover their faith both in themselves and in humanity.
Tahmeena brings the homestead back to life, reopening John’s

the daughter Tahmeena sent ahead from war-ravaged
Afghanistan. With renewed confidence, they step out of the

WHERE IS WINKY’S HORSE?
For Winky, the task of looking after St Nicholas’ horse is not as
easy as it should be…
Pour Winky, prendre soin du cheval de saint Nicolas n’est pas
aussi simple qu’on ne l’aurait pensé...
Saint Nicholas won’t be back for another year and, in the
meantime, Winky must take care of his horse Amerigo on her
aunt and uncle’s farm. They teach her everything they know
about grooming and Winky takes riding lessons on a pony called
Naf-Naf. But what she really wants is to ride Amerigo. But that’s
not allowed because the horse is too big, a fact that Winky finds
hard to accept.
Back at home, there is a surprise awaiting Winky - her mother is
pregnant. Winky loves the idea of a new baby sister or brother,
but also feels a bit awkward about it. Left alone, Winky finds
comfort with Amerigo.
One day, when she is alone at the farm, Winky does something
very naughty and with terrible consequences…
Saint Nicolas ne reviendra pas avant un an et, pendant cet
intervalle, Winky doit prendre soin de son cheval Amerigo dans
la ferme de sa tante et de son oncle. Ils lui apprennent tout ce
qu’ils savent en matière de pansage et Winky prend des leçons
d’équitation sur un poney nommé Naf-Naf. Mais, ce qu’elle veut
vraiment, c’est monter Amerigo. Cependant, cela lui est interdit
car le cheval est trop grand, ce que Winky a du mal à accepter.
De retour chez elle, une surprise attend Winky : sa mère est
enceinte. Winky est ravie à l’idée d’avoir un petit frère ou une
petite sœur, mais cela la met aussi un peu mal à l’aise. Quand
elle se sent seule, Winky trouve du réconfort auprès d’Amerigo.
Un jour, alors qu’elle est seule à la ferme, Winky fait quelque

Konraad, 83, has told his relatives that he wants to die. Maria,
his only child, refuses to discuss this wish. Instead, she wants to

marriage while Eva is in therapy, recovering from an abortion.
Maria’s husband, Ernst, is the only one who takes an interest in
Konraad’s plight and decides to assist him in performing his last
wish. In so doing he angers his wife and widens the rift between
them.
Konraad’s offspring are all trapped in their own worlds and when
they take a closer look at themselves they realise there is little
that holds the family together. They have all come to a dead end.
Something must change.

Le mari de Maria, Ernst, est le seul à s’intéresser à la situation
douloureuse de Konraad, et il décide de l’aider à exaucer son
dernier vœu. Son action irrite sa femme et élargit le fossé qui les
sépare.
Les descendants de Konraad sont tous prisonniers de leur propre
univers et, lorsqu’ils se regardent de plus près, ils se rendent
compte qu’il n’y a pas grand chose qui maintienne la cohésion de
la famille. Ils sont tous dans une impasse. Quelque chose doit
changer.

When Xenia discovers a forbidden island, life will never be the
same again.

At night, 14-year old Xenia has disturbing dreams in which she
wanders through landscapes without ever finding a way out. And
when will she experience her first kiss?
One day she is asked to post a letter on the island. Xenia
freezes, for the ‘island’ is a forbidden place, yet to be
‘normalised’. When she sees that the process of normalization is
about to commence, she runs to a well and dives into the deep
water. She surfaces, but fifty years in the past, while a storm is
raging.
Xenia manages to save the island and when she returns to the
future she realises that she has found her own little Atlantis. The
next day she kisses a boy from her class.
La nuit, Xenia, âgée de 14 ans, fait des rêves angoissants dans
lesquels elle erre à travers des paysages sans jamais trouver une
issue. Et quand fera-t-elle l’expérience de son premier baiser ?
Un jour, on lui demande de poster une lettre sur l’île. Xenia se

est sur le point de démarrer, elle se précipite vers un puits et
plonge dans l’eau profonde. Elle remonte à la surface, mais

Xenia parvient à sauver l’île, et quand elle revient dans l’avenir,

A Dutch film critic and a poor Russian vagabond make for a
very odd couple.
Un critique de cinéma néerlandais et un clochard russe
forment un couple très curieux.
Bob, an intellectual film critic and screenwriter visits an
obscure film festival in Kiev, where he meets the poor but
engaging vagabond Duska. “Whenever you’re in Holland,
do not hesitate to visit me,” the over-enthusiastic Bob
suggests, knowing for sure that Duska will never leave Kiev.
He is therefore stunned when, a few months later, Duska is
standing at Bob’s door.
The two men start living together. Duska tries his very best
to be nice, but Bob becomes increasingly annoyed. Normal
communication is impossible, because Duska only speaks
Russian and a genuine war threatens to break out between
the two men.
Bob, un critique de cinéma et scénariste intellectuel, se
rend dans un obscur festival de film à Kiev où il rencontre
Duska, un clochard attachant. « Si jamais vous passez en
Hollande, n’hésitez pas à venir me voir, » lui dit le trop
enthousiaste Bob, persuadé que Duska ne quittera jamais
Kiev. Du coup, il est abasourdi quand, quelques mois plus
tard, Duska se tient devant sa porte.
Les deux hommes commencent à cohabiter. Duska fait tout
son possible pour être agréable, mais Bob est de plus en
plus contrarié. Toute communication normale est
impossible, car Duska parle uniquement russe, et une vraie
guerre menace d’éclater entre les deux hommes.
Finally, Bob wrestles Duska out of his life. But when he’s
gone, he misses him deeply and so he travels back to Kiev
to find his one and only true friend.
Finalement, Bob parvient à se débarrasser de Duska. Mais
une fois que Duska est parti, il manque terriblement à Bob
qui repart donc à Kiev pour retrouver son seul ami véritable.

When the teenage Tiuri fails in his quest to become a knight, he

The relationship between a politician’s daughter and a right-wing
policeman illustrates the gap between politics and the people.
La liaison de la fille d’un homme politique et d’un agent de police

Jos is an experienced politician for the Green party whose
influence is diminishing now that more xenophobic and populist
parties have entered the political arena.
Jos’ daughter Zoë, a 25 year-old actress, becomes involved with
a young policeman, whose father sells second-hand cars and
has his own very individual sense of justice and logic. After the
two families are united Jos begins to incorporate the views of his
in-laws into his public statements, which leads to an increase in
his popularity among the voters. Very soon, however, he cannot
distinguish between voicing popular concerns and espousing
right-wing policies.
Inevitably, he angers both members of his own party and
fanatical Muslims, and his life is in danger. In a government safe
house, Jos comes to his senses and decides to withdraw from
politics.

l’influence diminue maintenant que des partis xénophobes et
populistes ont fait leur entrée dans l’arène politique.
La fille de Jos, Zoë, une actrice âgée de 25 ans, a une liaison
avec un jeune agent de police dont le père vend des voitures
d’occasion et a un sens très personnel de la justice et de la
logique. Après que les deux familles se sont unies, Jos
commence à intégrer les opinions de la famille de son gendre
dans ses déclarations publiques, ce qui se traduit par une
hausse de sa popularité auprès des électeurs. Cependant, très

4 ELEMENTS is a four-chapter documentary about the men who
fight each of these elements within the 21st century. All chapters
within the programme are inter-connected, though each remains
unique.
After the huge success of DAYS UNDER, the first chapter about
Earth and its might, the completion of 4 ELEMENTS was inevitable.

In the 1950s Cornelis Verolme, a strong-willed farmer’s son from
the south of Holland, realises his great ambition, to break the
cartel of the traditional Rotterdam ship builders and to become
one of the most influential players in the post-war reconstruction
of The Netherlands.
As he focuses on his visionary, some may say megalomaniac,
plans for the shipbuilding industry, the aristocratic harbour class
of Rotterdam recognise not only a fearsome competitor but also
a vulgar, provincial upstart who fails to respect the traditional
etiquette of the Rotterdam business community.
The life story of Cornelis Verolme contains all of the elements of
tragic drama: ambition, endeavour, triumph, and the pain a man
inevitably suffers when it all goes terribly wrong…
Dans les années 1950, Cornelis Verolme, forte tête, fils de
paysan du sud des Pays-Bas, réalise sa grande ambition : briser
le cartel des constructions navales traditionnelles de Rotterdam
et devenir l’un des acteurs les plus influents du relèvement des
Pays-Bas pendant l’après-guerre.
Tandis qu’il se focalise sur ses projets visionnaires pour
l’industrie de la construction navale, que certains jugent
mégalomanes, les magnats du port de Rotterdam le considèrent
non seulement comme un concurrent redoutable, mais aussi
comme un vulgaire parvenu de province qui ne respecte pas les
us et coutumes des industriels de Rotterdam.

armes au secteur du cinéma, envisage les armes légères comme
une forme de divertissement. Les armes légères servent de
source d’inspiration et de perfection technique à un armurier
américain. Un journaliste britannique écrit des articles sur le
trafic illicite d’armes. Au Congo oriental, un père considère les
armes comme une nécessité absolue pour protéger et défendre

A Dutch special effects expert, who supplies the film industry with
weapons, considers small arms a form of entertainment. For an
American gun designer small arms are a source of inspiration and
technical perfection. A journalist from the UK writes about their
illegal trade. A father in East Congo sees guns as an absolute
must for the security and defence of his family. Through the eyes
of these people the viewer will discover how small arms produced
in developed countries are ruling and ruining the lives of a growing
number of people.

men and women enduring unimaginable obstacles while
struggling to fulfil their most basic human rights and achieve their
potential.

A Dollar a Day is a poignant six-part international series of 52minute programmes that show what it means to live below the
poverty line. While we can imagine that surviving on a dollar a
day would be an enormous struggle, very few of us truly
understand the nature of poverty. And people, in general, rarely
recognize the creativity and resourcefulness that the poor
possess.
Maria in Bolivia, Kurshida in India and Sédou in Mali, fight for
dignity and self-respect, while they try to access credit, a roof
over their head, a market for their products, a job, healthcare or
fair treatment by their governments.

Lady Grace Drummond-Hay, star reporter for the American
press, has another reason to undertake the voyage, to meet her
secret lover Karl von Wiegand. And when the Zeppelin finally
lands in New York, the lovers are separated and Grace is
transformed into a cinema star.

return home, but their relatives claim they are unable to take care
of them.

During the war in the former Yugoslavia, a group of mentally
deranged patients fled from a psychiatric institution in the
Bosnian village of Jakes. They ended up in Hungary and have
been there ever since, cared for by two nurses. Still now,
fourteen years later, no one has come for them. Why?

Rudolf Truffino, the son of a Dutch banker, leaves behind his
family, his homeland and his identity. When he emerges from the
Venezuelan jungle, he does so as Jungle Rudy.
Rudolf Truffino, le fils d’un banquier néerlandais, quitte sa famille,
sa patrie et son identité. Lorsqu’il émerge de la jungle
vénézuélienne, c’est en tant que Jungle Rudy.
Rudolf Truffino was born in The Hague in 1928, the third son of
an Italian banker. At a young age he decides to leave his
pampered life behind and to chart new courses through the
undiscovered jungles of Venezuela. Rudy becomes a celebrity
and assumes the moniker ‘Jungle Rudy’. He starts a family in the
middle of the jungle and begins to receive celebrated guests at
his Camp Ucaima.
More than ten years after his death Rudy’s daughters are still at
a loss as to what to do. Should they continue the dream of their
legendary father or should they return to civilization?
Rudolf Truffino, né à La Haye en 1928, était le troisième fils d’un
banquier néerlandais d’origine italienne. Il décide très jeune
d’abandonner sa vie choyée pour tracer de nouveaux itinéraires
à travers la jungle inexplorée du Venezuela. Rudy devient célèbre
et adopte le surnom de ’Jungle Rudy’. Il fonde une famille en
pleine jungle et entreprend d’accueillir d’illustres invités dans son
Camp Ucaima.
Plus de dix ans après la mort de Rudy, ses filles ne savent
toujours pas que faire. Devraient-elles poursuivre le rêve de leur

Jan Bosdriesz’s father was a fanatical collector of gramophone
records, and especially those of Pyotr Leshchenko, the most
popular Russian singer from the war years, who died in a
Stalinist camp.
In the film, Jan Bosdriesz discovers people for whom the music
of Leshchenko is inextricably linked with memories of their lives
and the landscapes in which they lived.
Archive footage also reveals the gruesome history of the 1930s
and 1940s, and throughout his research Bosdriesz is forced to
confront his own memories of his family and of his past.
Le père de Jan Bosdriesz était un collectionneur enragé de
disques pour gramophone, surtout de ceux de Piotr
Leshchenko, le chanteur russe le plus populaire des années de
la guerre qui est mort dans un camp stalinien.
Dans le film, Jan Bosdriesz découvre des personnes pour qui la
musique de Leshchenko est indissociablement liée aux

Who will win the battle between man and fox?
Qui gagnera la bataille entre l’homme et le renard ?
When Holland banned the culling of foxes in 2002, these wily
canines seized their chance and infiltrated new terrains and
habitats. This led to consternation among farmers and hunters,
but also among many conservationists who, while initially
enthusiastic about the success of the fox, soon saw how this
predator threatened other protected species such as waders.
In the spring of 2006, the Dutch government gave way to
pressure from the hunting lobby - now it’s open season for foxes
again. Can this animal - a native of the low countries - adapt or
will man play a more significant role in determining its fate?
Because nature seems stronger than people suspect. And
conservationists are becoming increasingly divided...

ces canidés rusés ont sauté sur l’occasion pour pénétrer dans
de nouveaux terrains et habitats. Cela a jeté la consternation

TIENGEMETEN 2001-2006
Tiengemeten is a small island that was once reclaimed from the
sea and reshaped for agriculture. Now there is a plan to return
the island of Tiengemeten once more to its wild state.
Tiengemeten est une petite île qui a été jadis conquise sur la mer
et réaménagée pour l’agriculture. Maintenant, le gouvernement a
conçu un plan pour rendre l’île de Tiengemeten à la vie sauvage.
Tiengemeten is the last remaining island in the south-western
delta area of the Netherlands. Before it was reclaimed to provide
700 hectares of fertile agricultural land, it was a sandbank on
which reeds and brushwood grew. But as part of the nature
conservancy plan it was decided that Tiengemeten should be
returned to its wild state, which would have dire consequences
for the island’s farmers.
The film follows this long and involved process, for the plan
cannot be put into effect as long as the financial backing is not
secured - and as long as the last farmer decides to stay put.
Tiengemeten est la dernière île qui subsiste dans la région du
sud-ouest du delta néerlandais. Avant sa conquête sur la mer
pour fournir 700 hectares de terre agricole fertile, c’était un banc
de sable où poussaient des roseaux et des broussailles. Mais,
dans le cadre du plan de conservation de la nature, il a été
décidé que Tiengemeten devrait être rendue à la vie sauvage, ce

WAIT FOR ME, GALLOWS! THE STORY OF SIVAS
The story of a terrible massacre in Sivas (Turkey) and the struggle
of the Alevites, whose ethnic and religious identity has been
suppressed for centuries.
L’histoire d’un terrible massacre à Sivas (en Turquie) et le combat
des Alévis, dont l’identité ethnique et religieuse a été réprimée
pendant des siècles.
Pir Sultan Abdal was murdered 350 years ago in Sivas because
he resisted the town’s strict interpretation of Islam. These days,
in opposition to fundamentalist violence, Alevitism offers a
humanist interpretation of Islam, with the provincial capital Sivas
serving as one of its strongholds. To underline their liberal view
of Islam, the organisers of the Pir Sultan Abdal festival decided
in 1993 to relocate the festival to the town where their hero was
hanged many years before.
Pir Sultan Abdal a été assassiné il y a 350 ans à Sivas parce
qu’il s’opposait à l’interprétation stricte de l’islam imposée par la
ville. De nos jours, et contrairement à la violence
fondamentaliste, l’Alévisme offre une interprétation humaniste de
l’islam, et la capitale provinciale Sivas en est l’un des bastions.
Pour souligner leur vision libérale de l’islam, les organisateurs du
festival Pir Sultan Abdal avaient décidé en 1993 de transférer le
festival dans la ville où leur héros avait été pendu des siècles
auparavant.
Whipped up by local imams, a crowd marched through the town
that day to the hotel where the festival-goers were staying. The
hotel was set on fire and 37 people, including 11 children and a
number of well-known Alevitic writers and musicians, were burnt
to death.
Ce jour-là, la foule excitée par des imams a défilé dans la ville
jusqu’à l’hôtel où séjournaient les festivaliers. Les manifestants
ont incendié l’hôtel et 37 personnes, parmi lesquelles 11 enfants

An opera production in Haiti reveals the enormous hidden talent
within a country blighted by calamity and misfortune.

The history of Haiti is embedded in the story of Blood Wedding.
It sometimes seems as if Linglinsou, the god of blood, has cast
an eternal and dreadful curse over the island when we assess its
history of genocide and slavery. Even now, widespread violence
is reported on a daily basis. Haiti is one of the poorest countries
in the world, where corruption is rife, health conditions are
beyond description and illiteracy is the norm.

Quand on analyse le passé du pays, marqué par le génocide et
l’esclavage, on a parfois l’impression que Linglinsou, le dieu du
sang, a jeté un sort immuable et terrible sur l’île. Aujourd’hui

But ignorance and talent, naivety and creativity and beauty and
decline are the ingredients of this compelling opera, within which
the locals are afforded the opportunity to explore their talents
and to confront their terrible history. At the same time they feel
the comfort that only art can offer.

THE ONE ALL ALONE
A documentary about Edgard Varèse, the most visionary
composer of the 20th century.
Un documentaire sur Edgard Varèse, le compositeur le plus
visionnaire du XXe siècle.
The red line throughout the film is a reconstruction of Varèse’s
unfinished choral symphony ‘Espace’, on which he worked from
1928 until 1950 but was unable to finish simply because his
ideas were way ahead of their time. His musical universe
required a technology that wasn’t available, a fact that frustrated
him almost to the point of suicide.
The film explores his fascination with the hermetic astronomy of
the medieval alchemist Paracelsus, the mythological world of
Native Americans and Maya Indians and his interest in modern
science. The basic structure of the film is a transformation of his
compositions that works like a process of crystallization.
Le fil conducteur dans tout le film est la reconstruction de la
symphonie chorale inachevée ‘Espace‘, à laquelle Varèse a
travaillé de 1928 à 1950 mais qu’il n’a pas réussi à terminer tout
simplement parce que ses idées étaient bien trop en avance sur
son temps. Son univers musical exigeait une technologie qui
n’était pas encore disponible, ce qui le frustrait presque au point
de se suicider.
Le film étudie sa fascination de l’astronomie hermétique de
l’alchimiste médiéval Paracelse, de l’univers mythologique des

older man is rolling a cigarette. She gets on her motorbike, he
gets on his bicycle. The village may be in decay but, without
speaking a word, the characters unite for a happy ending.

THE LANGEMANNE AND THE MONSTER OF NIX
Ten-year old Willy is sent into a bizarre fairytale forest to defeat
the all-devouring Monster of Nix.
Together with a giant, the Langemanne, he discovers that the
monster is actually the end of the story, but this time it may be
the end of all stories to come!
Willy, âgé de dix ans, est envoyé dans une forêt de conte de
fées bizarre pour vaincre le vorace Monster of Nix. Avec un

Mac and Roe are playing tennis. Inevitably there is a
disagreement as to whether the ball is In or Out and Mac gets
very angry with Roe. In an unconventional, humoristic way the
characters use cinematography to really get into each other’s
hair.
Mac et Roe jouent au tennis. Ils se disputent inévitablement pour
savoir si une balle est bonne ou faute, et Mac est furieux contre
Roe. Avec humour et anticonformisme, les personnages
exploitent la cinématographie pour se crêper le chignon.

PAUL AND THE DRAGON
A film for children with cancer and their parents, giving support
in their battle. The film portrays children with cancer as heroes
battling an evil dragon that lives inside them. Young viewers will
learn about the disease and the film may alleviate fears, as well
as explain what is going on inside their bodies.
Un court métrage pour les enfants cancéreux et leurs parents, qui
les soutient dans leur combat. Le film montre les petits cancéreux
comme des héros luttant contre un méchant dragon qui habite à
l’intérieur de leur corps. Le film donne des informations sur la
maladie aux jeunes spectateurs et il atténuera peut-être leurs
angoisses, tout en expliquant ce qui se produit dans leurs corps.

THE PHANTOM OF THE CINEMA
A black-and-white movie starts to play in an old cinema. In the
theatre, three people try to do their jobs, the lazy operator, the
shy female toilet attendant and the sleazy director. The operator
tries to start a film, while the director wants to make his own
pulp film starring the toilet cleaner.
La projection d’un film en noir et blanc commence dans un vieux
cinéma. Dans le local, trois personnes essaient de faire leur
travail : le projectionniste paresseux, la dame pipi timide et le
réalisateur glauque. Le projectionniste essaie de passer un film
tandis que le réalisateur veut faire son propre film à sensation
avec la dame pipi en vedette.

STICKY FEET
Humbert suffers from a very peculiar ailment. He has sticky feet.
He tries to find medical help to cure this inconvenient malaise,
but even the doctors stick to his feet. Humbert resolves to enjoy
his life nonetheless, and soon discovers his destiny as a leaf
remover in the local park.
Humbert souffre d’une affection très insolite. Il a les pieds
gluants. Il a recours à la médecine pour soigner cette
indisposition gênante, mais les médecins eux-mêmes s’engluent
à ses pieds. Humbert décide de profiter malgré tout de la vie et,
avant peu, il découvre que son destin est d’être ramasseur de
feuilles mortes dans le parc local.

A car is wrapped around a tree after a crash. A man crawls out
of the wreckage. When he gets over the loss of his wife, who
was behind the wheel, he is jolted by a memory. He is not as
innocent as he thought - he has even faked his wife’s death. If
only he could remember why.
Après un accident, une voiture est enroulée autour d’un arbre.
Un homme sort en rampant de l’épave. Lorsqu’il se remet de la
perte de sa femme, qui était au volant, un souvenir le fait
sursauter. Il n’est pas aussi innocent qu’il ne pensait – la mort de
sa femme était même un simulacre. Si seulement il pouvait se
rappeler pourquoi.
