One Spectacular Evening…
The MPCS Benefit Concert, first held in 2009, started through the generosity
of the oil and gas industry. Looking for a unique opportunity to entertain
customers while giving back to the community, oilfield executives suggested this
“evening under the stars.” Held during the week of the Louisiana Gulf Coast
Oil Exposition (LAGCOE) at Parc International, the concert has evolved into a
major fundraiser with generous sponsors from all industries.
One Special Cause...
Honoring the memory and spirit of a special young man, Miles Perret Cancer
Services (MPCS) was established in 2002 to meet the needs of cancer survivors
and their families. It has become a haven for individuals fighting, surviving,
and living with cancer. We are here to provide emotional support, guidance,
resources, programs, and most of all, hope. Our services are comprehensive
regardless of age or circumstances. No appointment is necessary and there are
no qualifications. Services are provided at no charge thanks to the support of
our generous community.
One Great Opportunity...
By engaging major country artists such as Clint Black (2009), Randy Travis
(2011) and Darius Rucker (2013) our sponsors have entertained clients while
reaching audiences of over 4,000 guests. Past sponsors universally agree that
the return on their investment is significant. Between 2009 and 2013, over 100
businesses and individuals participated helping us raise $750,000 for families in
Acadiana.
One Major Impact...
12,000 Families Have Been Served
Through the office in Lafayette and our mobile unit, services are extended to
communities throughout our 10-parish service area. Since its inception, MPCS
has served over 12,000 local families. However, the reality of our success is found
not in numbers but in lives changed. By taking control of their individual paths
to wellness, our clients are empowered to think of themselves, not as cancer
patients, but as survivors.
100% of the Funds Raised Stay in Acadiana
All funds raised for MPCS come from sponsorships and donations. These funds
allow us to provide our clients with the non-medical, interstitial assistance
critical to their well-being.

Although Miles lived only eight years, his was a life filled with
curiosity, joy and love. He had an understanding of friendship and
faith far beyond his years, and he left an impression on all who knew
him. When Miles was diagnosed in 1995, his family determined
right away that Miles would have as normal and carefree a life as
possible. Their journey with him provided firsthand experience of
the daily challenges of fighting cancer. Miles Perret Cancer Services
Jonathan Miles Perret
was created to help others meet those challenges.
