Senator Sater named
chairman of special committee
Senator David Sater, RCassville, was named Chairman of the Senate Seniors,
Families and Children Committee today by Senate Leader
Tom Dempsey, R-St. Charles.
“I am looking forward to
serving as Chairman of this
important committee,” said
Sater. “One of the driving
forces behind my desire to
run for office was to work on
behalf of Missouri families
and seniors, and I am confident we can address some of
the real problems facing our
state with a commitment to
personal responsibility and
common-sense values.”
Senator Dempsey said the
chairmen of each committee will act as leaders to find
solutions to move Missouri
forward in a prudent, positive way.
“I’m happy to put my
support behind Sen. Sater as
Chairman of Seniors, Family and Children. David has
proven he is willing to take
the lead on important legislation and makes a commitment to get it to the finish
line,” said Dempsey.
The Seniors, Families and
Children Committee reviews
legislation related to welfare
reform, quality of life for senior citizens, nursing home
operations, child support enforcement and other family
issues.
Sen. Sater was also appointed to the Senate Appropriations Committee which
is responsible for crafting a
state budget and determining
the best use of Missouri’s tax
417/271-3555
dollars.
“My focus on the budget will be to root out waste,
fraud and abuse and to leave
as much money as possible
with the taxpayers, where it
belongs” said, Sater. “We are
going to push government to
be more efficient and costeffective while still investing
in our children’s education
and focusing on budget items
that bring more money to our
state like tourism.”
Sen. Sater will continue
to serve on the Financial and
Governmental
Organizations and Elections Committee and Veterans’ Affairs and
Health Committee.
For more information on
Sen. Sater’s committees or
legislation filed by Sen. Sater,

Aurora, 45, pled guilty to
theft/stealing and driving
while revoked. He was sentenced to four years incarceration with the DOC.
In February 2012, Dehaven and another man were
hired to help a couple move in
Shell Knob. A few days later,
the victim noticed that there
were multiple items missing,
including game consoles and
jewelry. The Wii was found at
EZ Stop and Pawn in Eagle
Rock and had been pawned
by Dehaven. Some of the
jewelry was found at a pawn
shop in Eureka Springs, as
well.
On June 14, 2014, Dehaven was in two crashes
on Route J and Route RA in
Barry County. Dehaven had
been transported by ambulance from the scene when
a Trooper arrived. Dehaven
had a suspended driver’s license and had three prior
convictions for driving while
suspended.
• Raymond Edward
Donovan, 35, Cassville, pled
guilty to possession of a controlled substance in 2013. His
probation has since been revoked, and he was sentenced
to three years incarceration
with the DOC.
On August 19, 2013, the
Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated possible
drug activity on Farm Road
