Laurels to School
Miss Vratika Jain D/o Mr. R. S. Choudhary has been selected in the very prestigious National Talent
Search Examination (NTSE) conducted by NCERT. It has been a rare achievement for the Aditya
Birla Public School, Adityapuram, Chittorgarh.
Miss Achira Jain of Class VIII/B bagged the 2nd Rank in Eduheal Foundations Interactive
Olympiad-2014. She was awarded a tablet in a grand finale prize distribution ceremony
by Mr. Ashish Kumar Chouhan, CEO Bombay Stock Exchange on 10th April 2015.
Vigyan Prasar and CSIR-OSDD organized a National Level Essay Writing Competition on topic
eysfj;k ,d pqukSrh ,oa fuokj.k ds mik; A Miss Priyanshi Maheshwari of Class X was
awarded a Tablet, Certificate and a Trophy along with one year subscription of Vigyan Pragati
and Dream 2047 magazine on 25th April 2015.
Miss Yashaswi Bhupendra Solankee of Class XII cleared JEE Mains and qualified for JEE
Advance. She could prove her mettle by sheer hard work and without any coaching.
ABPS, Adityapuram Performs a Clean Sweep at the Inter-School Hindi Fortnight Activities
On the eve of Hindi Fortnight, our school participated in an Inter
School Competition held at Birla Shiksha Kendra, Chittorgarh on 12th
Sep. 2015. In various competitions held on the occasion, our school
was declared the champion and winner of School Champion’s

The Honour that Brought Pride to School
On the occasion of Guru Poornima, The Rajasthan Patrika honoured, Ms Rekha Joshi, Teacher
(Sanskrit) of our school, on the basis of the excellent performance of her students at the CBSE
Board Examinations for the last three consecutive years.
District Badminton Tournament
District Level Badminton Tournament was held from 25th to 27th September 2015 at Chittorgarh,
Rajasthan. Five students from ABPS, Adityapuram participated in different categories of the
tournament. Master K.V. Ashwin (U-17 & U-19) and Master Vivek Patidar (U-19) were selected for
the State Level Badminton Tournament which is a great achievement.

Staff Meeting
A staff meeting was chaired by our Principal, where he discussed and streamlined the planning and
strategies for the current session 2015-16. In-charges of different departments discussed their problems
and plans for new session.
New Session Begins:
Session 2015-16 began from 6th April with the morning assembly and prayer to almighty God.
The Principal unfurled the School Flag and addressed the staff and students motivating and
guiding them for their duties and responsibilities and about the changes in scholastic and coscholastic areas to be implemented during the session.
Cultural Activity:
1.
Inter House Activities for Group A:

Close to Nature (Nature Walk) activity was conducted for classes Nursery to II. All students were
taken out in the garden and the teachers told them the importance of plants and flowers. Students
saw various types of flowers and plants in the school garden.

Rabbit Race was conducted on 14 and 21 April 2015. Students of Pre-primary participated
enthusiastically.

Summer Day Celebration was held on 28.04.15. Students were asked to come in casuals
and they enjoyed dancing and singing various songs.

Colours of Nature (Colouring) activity was conducted on 05.05.15 and the topic was Nature.

Origami Activity: Tiny Tots of the school were participated in Origami Activity, where different
shapes with the paper were made by the students of class Nur. to II.

Rakhi Making Competition: School Tiny from class Nur to II makes beautiful Rakhies an and it was
appreciated by one and all

English Rhyme: Students of classes Pre-nur to II recited variety of English poems. 10 students
were selected from each class. Out of these 3 Best were selected. Students were appreciated
and motivated by judges and teachers.


English/Hindi Speech: Students of class Nur. and Prep presented 5 to 6 lines Hindi speech
on the topics “My Father, My Garden and My Home”. Students of class I & II presented 7 to
8 lines English speech on the topics “My Country, My School and My Family”.
Fancy Dress Competition: Students of class Nur. and Prep dressed up as various cartoon
character and Students of class I & II dressed as great personalities. The students were judged
on costume and make up, dialogues, confidence and overall presentation. Best three students were
selected from each class.

Inter House Activities for Group B:
Best out of Waste activity was conducted on 13.04.15 with the theme of pen and pencil folder.
Hindi Speech competition was conducted on 20.04.15 and the topic was fo|ky;ksa esa

Poster Making competition was organized on 27.04.15 and the topic was Save Water.
Maths Quiz : Inter House Maths Quiz was conducted in Art Room, students participated with
great enthusiasm and Arun House secured 1st position and the members of the team were
Isha Kothari and Tanishq Nahar
Science Exhibition: Inter House Science Exhibition was held at Bio Lab. Students showed their
talents through different models of Science.
Poem Recitation: A Poem recitation competition was organized and the result was –
Sristi Soni-1st, Prakhar Tyagi 2nd, Aditya Sharma 3rd.
Spell Bee: Inter House spell Bee group B (classes III to V) was conducted at Art Room. There were
questions related to identifying words with correct spellings, Supplying missing letters and spell out
the correctly. Martand House in Group-B was the top scorer.

Best out of Waste activity was conducted on 15.04.15 with the theme of Photo Frame.
Hindi Debate Competition was conducted on 15.04.15 and the topic was lg’kS{kf.kd xfrfof/k;k¡

General Quiz competition was held on 22.04.15. Questions for the competition were
based on Science, History, Politics, Sports, Indian Cinemas, Current Affairs, Indian
Heritage, Symbols, Books and Authors etc.
Computer Quiz: Inter House Computer Quiz was conducted in Art Room. The questions were
based on general topics and new developments in the field of Information and Technology.
Students of all groups participated enthusiastically. Students of Arun House responded with the
maximum correct answers and were the highest scorer in the competition.
English debate competition: Inter House English Debate competition was held in the Art Room.
In this competition Vidhi Bomana and Ritual Kundu of Arun House stood 1 st.
Spell Bee : Spell Bee competition was conducted for Group C. There was total 8 participants
form each group. Ravi House was the winner of the competition.
English Declamation: Students from Classes VI to VIII participated in Inter House
English Declamation competition. There were four students from each House and
Result was as – Om Thakre of class VI secured 1st Position, Kina of class VIII 2nd
Position and Akashi Jain class VI secured 3rd Position.
Collage Making Competition: House wise collage making completion was held in art Room.
There were 2 groups from all four houses, each group having three students. The result of the
competition was – Students of Ravi Houses Divyanshi, Kavya Sahu and Rishikesh secured 1st
Position.

Inter House Activities for Group D:
Mental Aptitude Test was conducted on 17.04.15. Questions were based on logical,
visual, reasoning, symbols, mathematical areas.
Hindi Debate Competition was conducted on 24.04.15 and the topic was fujarj gks jgh
dU;k gR;k ,oa ukjh&mRihM+u dks jksdus ds fy, dkuwu gh i;kZIr gS A
Language Competition: A Language quiz on three different subjects English, Hindi and Sanskrit
was conducted by three different quiz masters. There were 5 rounds in the competition and
Martand House was the top scorer.
English Debate: Inter House English Debate competition was held in the Art Room. In this
competition Vidhi Boadana and Ritoja Kundu of Arun House stood 1st.
Science Exhibition: Inter House science exhibition competition for different groups was organized
in the school. There were three groups. Group B, Group C and Group D. Students showed their
talent and skill by preparing beautiful live models on current topics.
Science Quiz: Science quiz competition was held for Group D at Art Room. During the Quiz there
were many ups and downs coming at last Arun House had the gold medal of the competition at the
end.
General Quiz: General Quiz competition was held at Art Room. Two students from each house
participated in it. Martand House students bagged 1st Position.
Art Competition: An Art Competition was organized by BEE, Power Grid, Govt. of Rajasthan. It was
conducted in two groups. Group A, Classes IV to VI and Group B, Classes VII to IX. Finally two Best
entries from each group were selected.
Contribution for Senior Citizens
Students and Staff of ABPS, Adityapuram, contributed raw eatables to Tara
Sansthan, Udaipur for the help of senior citizens.
Send off:
A send off party was organized on 29.04.15 for Ms. Arshiya Rehman PGT, Chemistry who was
promoted and transferred to ABPS, Kharia Khangar as the Head Mistress.
Nurturing Leadership
The following students have been selected for holding various posts in the School
Council for the academic session 2015-2016. These posts are dependent on
consistent contribution to the schooling system while maintaining a higher order of
self-discipline, school discipline as well as academic performance.

Fire Quiz and Slogan/Poster Making Competition
On 18th April 2015, the Admin Department of Aditya Cement Works organized a Fire
Quiz for classes IX to XII and Slogan/Poster making competition for classes VI to VIII
and the topic was Fire Safety for both the groups.

Work Shop on Capacity Building Programme for Teachers on CCE & Co-scholastic Aspects:
The School reopened on 27th June 2015 post-summer vacation for teachers
and a two-day workshop on 28th and 29th June was conducted by Dr. Sapna
Agrawal form Next Education, on the topic “Capacity Building Programme
for Teachers on CCE and Its Co-scholastic Aspects”. On the 2nd day of the
workshop, Dr. Sapna Agrawal clarified all doubts related to co-scholastic
areas, specially thinking skills, social skills, emotional skills and life skills.
On 30th June Principal Sir, chaired a meeting of all the staff members where he discussed different
departmental problems related to school and actions to be taken.
The school reopened for students on 1st July after summer vacation, with the morning assembly
and prayer to almighty God.
Plantation Drive
A Tree Plantation Drive was organised by Scouts and Guides of the school on
24.07.2015 with the objective to keep the school and surrounding areas full of
greenery and to keep the environment clean and healthy.

Teacher’s Day Celebration
Teacher’s Day was celebrated at Ustav Staff Recreation Center. Teachers, Students
from Classes III to XII witnessed the programmes and on 4 th Sep. Pupil-teachers
took different classes and they were judged by the teachers of the school on
different criteria. The Principal addressed and motivated all students and teachers
with his own feelings and experiences.
Career Counselling:
A Career Counselling Programme was conducted on 17 August 2015 for the students of Commerce
Stream of our school by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), Kolkata. The Resource
Person Ms. Vishakha Singh, Academic Counsellor from their Delhi office discussed in details on the
topic, “Available scopes in the field of the Cost and Management Accounting”
ROBOCHAMP
GD Goenka International School, Udaipur in association with Harbour Technologies and IIT Delhi
organized a 2-day residential workshop and competition on Robotics. 9 students from our school
escorted by teacher Mr. S.K. Gupta participated in it. The topics for the competition covered :
1. Wireless Robotics, 2. Autonomous Robotics & 3. Android-Based Robotics.
It’s heartening that out of 9 students who participated, four have been selected for the Final
Round to be held at IIT Mumbai on 28th & 29th March 2016.
Workshop:
A Workshop on how to make teaching learning process better, was
held at the school wherein Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Principal, Birla Shiksha
Kendra, Chittorgarh, a renowned educationist, motivated and
guided the teachers to improve their teaching skills by managing
the stress and to develop thinking, social and emotional skills of the
students.
SPIC MACAY:
Under the aegis of Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music
and Culture Amongst Youth (SPICMACAY), a special motivational
Chhaau Dance Program was organized for the students of the school
at Utsav Staff Recreation Centre, Adityapuram. The renowned dance
troupe from Purulia, West Bengal under the leadership of Mr.
Tarapad Rajak presented an amazing performance based on the
theme Mahishasur Vadh by Maa Durga. It was highly admired by all.
Workshop at Gyanodaya Management Institute of Learning, Mumbai
A workshop on the topic, “Emerging Trends in Educational Leadership” was conducted at
Gyanodaya Mumbai, Mr. Rajesh Sharma from ABPS, Adityapuram attended the 2-day workshop
where Dr. Ganguli, CEO, Birla Group of Schools inspired the gathering to shoulder responsibilities
and assist the principal of the school.
Dr. S. Mishra, CEO Carbon Black Business and Director, Group HR ABMCPL, Mumbai also had
interaction with the gathering. Ms. Shobha Iyer, Ms. Mala Palani and Dr. N.S. Neelkanthan were
the Resource Persons who enlightened the participants.
Career Guidance:
A Career Exploration and Future Career Option Programme was
conducted by Aakash Educational Services (P) Ltd, Delhi on 28 Sept.
2015 where the students were informed about the available career
options in different areas like engineering, science, medicine,
humanities, management, Commerce and defence.

