Elmer Christmas Decoration Design your own Elmer decoration!
How to make an
Christmas Decoration
You can hang a whole herd of colourful elephants on your Christmas tree!
You will need:
• Colouring pencils
• Scissors
• Glue
• Sticky tape
• A piece of ribbon
(about 15cm long)
• A grown up
Instructions:
• Colour in Elmer’s patches on each of the four templates – make him as colourful as
possible!
• Write the letters beside each of the templates on the back of the templates (this will be
very useful later!)
• Ask a grown up to carefully cut around the edges of each template.
• Apply the glue to the blank sides of each template (make sure you don’t glue the very
tops of the templates … we’ll get back to this part later!).
• Stick the sections you marked A together, making sure all of the edges match up.
• Following the same method, stick the sections B, C and D together. Your Elmer should
now be able to stand up!
• Fold your piece of ribbon in half and place a small piece of sticky tape over the two
ends.
• At the top of your Elmer there will be a small gap where you did not use any glue. Hold
this gap open and slot in the end of the string with the piece of sticky tape.
• Pinch the top of your Elmer to make sure the string sticks.
TIP: You could make your Elmer
er
look extra festive by using glitt
pens to colour in his patches.
