Welcome to
Crocodile Dock
where fearless kids shine God’s light!
Get ready for an exciting adventure, discovering God’s presence,
power, love, life and care. Crocodile Dock is buzzing with fun for kids,
teenagers, and adults. Everyone involved in this VBS will explore God’s
Word… and never be the same again! Not only do kids experience
amazing Bible adventures, they’ll also watch for God in everyday life
through something we call God Sightings. Kids discover that God is
active in our lives and that his fingerprints are everywhere!
Crocodile Dock is an exciting, fun-filled, Bible based program your
kids will love. Kids start each day by forming small groups called
Bayou Crews. All the Bayou Crews gather at Sing & Play Swamp
Stomp to sing and do fun motions to upbeat Bible songs that introduce
kids to the concepts they will be learning that day. Each day we will
take a collection for our Mission Project. All of the money collected
throughout the week will be used to help our Missionaries Ted and Kate
Mole as they prepare for their ministry in Siberia.
Bayou Crews rotate through five different Stations, where the
daily Bible Point is reinforced in creative ways. They go on adventures
at Bible Bayou, race around at Gator Games, learn what it is to be a
missionary in Murky Missions, make crazy creations in Crawfish
Crafts , meet Chadder Chipmunk on DVD, and sample tasty Snack
Shack treats! At the end of the morning, everyone comes together
for the Firefly Finale for more songs and a wrap-up to remember what
they learned through throughout the day.
See you at the Bayou,
Your VBS Directors

Shining God’s light...
At Bethel, we acknowledge God as the primary focus, reason, and
source of all we do. Infused into every activity of the church is the
Gospel - the Good News that Jesus Christ has been revealed as the
glorious image of God, and through His death rescues hopeless sinners
and restores them into a right relationship with their Creator!
We affirm that it is only God’s grace, extended through the gifts of
faith and repentance, that can make our dead hearts alive again. We
affirm that salvation is only possible by believing what the Bible
teaches about Jesus Christ and confessing Him as Lord and Savior. We
affirm that this Good News has the power to change your child's heart!
If you would like to know more about this Good News, or anything else
about the church or what we believe and teach, please do not hesitate
to talk to any of the station or crew leaders, or contact the office to
make an appointment with one of our pastors or elders. We would love
for you to be our guest at any of our regular services (see back) and
especially at the dinner on Tuesday evening this week!

Daily Schedule
Dave Gripp (Bible Bayou) has been ministering to youth and children at Bethel
Please drop your children off each morning by 9:00 am in the Worship Center.
Everyone is welcome to join us again in the Worship Center at 11:35 am for the
Firefly Finale to see what your children have been learning each day!
for more than a dozen years. He is currently leading and teaching in our Awana
program and has one Gripplet in VBS, and two helping this year.
Beryl Barmore (Sing & Play Swamp Stomp) has been involved in the Music
ministry at Bethel for about 30 years. She is currently our Choir Director and is
looking forward to singing with a really big choir this week!
Kathy Prentice (Crawfish Crafts) has been helping at Bethel’s VBS since
1992. She is the mother of two boys, one in VBS and one helping. She loves it when
things are done neatly and in order, so she is a natural to head up our craft room.
Marion Howell (Missions) has served in Bethel’s Missions ministry for many
years and has also taught Good News Clubs and after-school Bible Clubs. She’s
been on missions trips to Mexico and Uruguay, and to Israel three times.
Mark Segerstrom (Gator Games) has been helping our Awana program since
it started, but this is his first year for Vacation Bible School. Despite looking
like a tough guy, he has a soft spot in his heart for kids.
Alice Segerstrom (Firefly Finale) is a busy mom of four all week long, plus a
nurse on weekends. She is also one of the leaders in our Awana program and the
co-director for this year’s Vacation Bible School.
Jen Powell (Snack Shack & Dockside Drive-In) is a mother of three (one of
whom is in VBS) and grandmother of two. She started coming to Bethel after
attending VBS last year. Being Italian, it's in her blood to feed people!
Other station helpers include Ted Lambert, Austin Fedale, Fran Taylor, Anitha
Solomon, Sue Hughes, Yvonne Binger, Brian Osbourn, Kevin Gibson, Sam Strobert,
Jen & Mark Rubin, Dave & Donna Grubb, Kristin Sanchez, and Audra Baumann
Crew leaders include Ann Lambert, Rachel Metzger, Marsha Alekel, Jean Miller,
Phyllis DeMaio, Emily Hoffheiser, Jess Foggy, Josh Prentice, Becca & Emily Gripp,
