Water Wonderland Winnies Newsletter
Look at this fine group enjoying the Florida sunshine. We tried to contact everyone who
belongs to WWW in Florida, and meet for lunch once a month. (You may notice that up north
groups met for dinner. When you get in Snow Bird country, eating is done in the daylight.)
We met for our first
lunch on Tuesday,
January 26th in Plant
City at Johnson

to squat for the good of the group were Joy and Dan Stolz and Skip Yates. After eating
lunch, most of us went to Parkesdale Farm Market for strawberry shortcake.

We did have dinner in February, while we were in Sarasota for the Florida State Rally. The
night before the rally started, nineteen of us met at Yoder’s and found out we would have to
wait in line. You can never say we aren’t flexible when it comes to food, so we moved to
Der Dutchman around the block for a great Amish buffet.
At “Club” night at the Florida Rally, we got to sit together, and wear our WWW shirts. Not
everyone from
Michigan was
sitting with us,
because several
couples were
sitting with the
local Florida
groups they have
joined. (The
Daltons and
Periards. The
Periards had to
work, while we just
enjoyed.)

Our March luncheon was at The Cheesecake Factory in Brandon. We had plenty to eat for
lunch, but then just had to try the cheese cake. It was fantastic!
We were going to try to get a group picture of us standing, but no one wanted to leave the
table to quit
eating dessert.

The Ostyns met up
with the Garcias in
St. Augustine, and
enjoyed wine
tasting and the
trolley ride through
town. They visited
the Old Jail and
Gator Bob’s.
The Hoags got to come down for a
visit, and guess what they did? They
had lunch with the Kingsleys and
Garcia in Dade City. They then
traveled south to Fort Myers and met
with the Periards, Moores, Brydes, and
Daltons.
I apologize for reporting on Florida
only, but then again, that’s where I
got the pictures from (and I stole
some from facebook.) Can’t wait
until May, when I can include gossip
and pictures about everyone!
