LOCATION: south western Namibia, in the heart of
the NamibRand Nature Reserve and south of
Sossusvlei.

FAUNA & FLORA
BIRDS & MAMMALS LIST: over 100 species of
bird, and a large variety of mammal species
including baboon, leopard, kudu, klipspringer,
gemsbok, mountain and plain zebra, springbok,
red hartebeest, bat-eared fox, spotted hyena and
Cape fox, including rich and diverse micro fauna in
the desert.
ACCESSIBILITY:
BY ROAD: Yes, self-drive on mainly gravel roads
6-7 hours from Windhoek or Swakopmund,
accessible by sedan vehicle (4x4 recommended).
Park at Reception. Boulders guests drive directly
to Aandster & park at Aandster-based Reception.
BY AIR: Air taxi from both Windhoek airports, or
Swakopmund. Further road transfer to Camps.
PRIVATE CHARTERS: 1-1,5 hour duration ex Whk,
with a road transfer of 20 minutes to Camps.
Note: Boulders fly-in location is Aandster airstrip,
50km from Wolwedans landing strip. Road
transfer to Boulders Safari Camp from Aandster.

No inoculations are required for malaria, yellow
fever, tetanus nor cholera.

Voltage: 220v - only @ base camp/reception
Solar power in all chalets (no air con, heaters,
or hairdryer facilities).
Laundry: Optional extra (no facility at Boulders)

magnificent location, where strikingly blue skies,
red dunes, purple mountains and endless yellow
plains create a living tapestry of colour and form.
Built on stilts, with spacious decks, the wood and
canvas structures are comfortable, spacious and
tastefully furnished.

ADDITIONAL FACILITIES & ACTIVITIES: Scenic
flights: take-off point is Wolwedans (or Aandster),
& dependent upon plane availability – maximum
of 4 persons per flight.
Ballooning: take-off point is Camp Mwisho, 90
minutes drive from Reception (open vehicle
transfer), weather permitting. Ballooning not
available to Boulders guests.
Scenic drives: half day or full day and/or
sundowners.
Scenic walks available. Activities can be prebooked or reserved upon arrival.
Massages: May be booked at all camps except
Boulders.
Activities on day of checkout are by arrangement
only & some are optional extra, eg. ballooning
transfers.
NEARBY ATTRACTIONS: Day trips through the
NamibRand Nature Reserve (Wolwedans is NOT a
Sossusvlei excursion destination)

Rates are inclusive of all meals, regional drinks,
accommodation, game/scenic drive activities,
airstrip transfers and tax. (DBB rate, excluding
activities & drinks, is available @ Dunes Lodge).
Rates exclude imported drinks, vintage wines,
balloon safaris, scenic flights, laundry, curio shop
puchases and the Nature Reserve levy.
