Finished sizes:
A. Doll size: 16" x 19"; (shown)
B. Cradle, car seat or stroller size: 21.5" x
25";
C. Portable crib size: 27" x 31";
D. Crib size: 33" x 37".
Materials: 2(4, 6, 8) -skeins of Dreambaby
DK; 24" circular needle, size 7, or that needed
to achieve gauge.
Gauge: 20 sts = 4" over pattern stitch.
Seed stitch pattern: *(P1, k1) repeat from * to
last stitch, end with p1.
With circular needle, loosely cast on 83 (113,
143, 173) sts. Work 8 rows in seed stitch
before starting square pattern.
Square pattern:
Row 1: P1, k1, p1, k1, p1, *(k13, p2), repeat
from * 3 (5, 7, 9) times, k13, p1, k1, p1, k1, p1.
Row 2: P1, k1, p1, k1, p1, purl to last 5 sts,
p1, k1, p1, k1, p1.
Repeat rows 1 & 2: 6 more times for a total of
14 rows. Notice that first and last 5 sts of
each row are worked in seed stitch.
Row 15: P1, k1, p1, k1, p1, purl to last 5 sts,
p1, k1, p1, k1, p1.
Row 16: Repeat row 15.
Repeat rows 1-16: 6 (9, 12, 15) more times.
There will be 7 (10, 13, 16) squares vertically.
Repeat rows 1-14.
Work 8 rows of seed stitch. Bind off loosely in seed stitch. Weave in all ends.
Block if desired.
