PC and Mac Setup Guide and Outlook Web Access
Hello and welcome to myEmail, powered by Micro Technology Group. The purpose of this
document is to provide set up instructions for configuring your new myEmail mailbox on the
Outlook client and your mobile device. In addition, we offer Outlook Web Access (OWA) so your
myEmail account can be accessed via a web browser on any computer connected to the
internet.
MTG’s myEmail also offers access to “My Services”, where users can change their password
and access other services such as McAfee Email Protection and Out of Office assistant.
After myEmail has been activated for your company, you may use “My Services” to change the
password provided to you. If you forget your password, do not hesitate to contact MTG for a
password reset. MTG is happy to assist with setup on your Outlook client and your mobile
device.

How to Change Your Password in myEmail’s Outlook Web
Access
1. Sign in to https://owa.msoutlookonline.net

2. Go to Change password on the right, next to the user’s photo.
3. Input Old Password, New Password, and Retype New Password. Click Save Changes.
Note: If you would like to Reset Your Password, please call us at (215) 247-8324 option 3.

How to Connect Outlook 2007 - 2013 to myEmail (Windows)
1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles and click Add. You will see the New
Profile window. Type a profile name and click OK.

2. Type your name, primary email address, and your mailbox password twice, then click Next.
3. When you get a security prompt, check the box Don’t ask me about this website again and
then click Allow.
4. You then might be prompted for your user name and password. Enter your primary email
address in the User name box and type your mailbox password.

5. Outlook 2007/2010/2013 will now discover your email server settings and configure itself to
connect to your mailbox. Once it’s completed, you can click Finish. Now you can open your
new profile in Outlook 2007/2010/2013.
Note: The checkbox On fast networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using
TCP/IP might be NOT checked. It can slow down Outlook performance. To check the box,
check Change account settings (above screenshot) > Next > More Settings > Connection >
Exchange Proxy settings.
6. (Optional) If Outlook did not connect automatically, please refer to the below instructions for
how to connect manually.

How to Connect Outlook Manually to myEmail
1. On the Auto Account Setup page, select Manually configure server settings or
additional server types and then clickNext.
2. On the Choose Service page, select Microsoft Exchange or compatible
service and click Next.

3. On the Server Settings page:
a. Specify your Server FQDN as Exchange server name.
b. Type your Exchange Mailbox Username (email address).
c. For the Offline use option, make sure that Use Cached Exchange Mode is
selected.
d. Click the More Settings button and switch to Connection tab.
e. In Outlook 2013 you can specify the time period for which email items will be
kept offline.

4. Select the Connect to Microsoft Exchange using the HTTP option and click
the Exchange Proxy Settings button.
a. Specify Exchange proxy settings.
b. Type the URL for your proxy server in the Use this URL to connect to my
proxy server for Exchange field. Reference Exchange Server Information on Page 1
c. Make sure that both the options On fast networks and On slow
networks are checked.
d. In the Proxy authentication settings box, choose Basic Authentication.

5. Click OK, then Apply, then OK to return to the Add New Account window.
Click Check Name.
If you have set everything up properly, you will see a window requesting
authentication.
Enter the complete primary email address as the username, and enter the password for the
mailbox.
If you have entered the username and password correctly, the username will now be
underlined, and the entry in the Microsoft Exchange Server field will also be underlined.
Note: If your server is Exchange 2013 the server name will get underlined and will resolve into a
name that looks [email protected]. Such
a conversion is expected behavior for Exchange 2013 mailboxes.

How to Connect Outlook 2011 to myEmail (Apple)
1. Open Outlook and navigate to Tools > Accounts
2. In the Accounts window, click the plus sign (+) in the lower left-hand corner and
choose Exchange.
3. In a new window, fill in the following fields, then click Add Account.
a. E-mail address: Enter your primary email address (UPN) for your Exchange
mailbox.
b. Method: Select User Name and Password.
c. Username: Type your primary email address.
d. Password: Type your mailbox password.
4. Outlook will attempt to determine settings for the new Exchange account
automatically.

5. You will get a prompt such as the one below. Select the option Always use my
response for this server and click the Allow button.

How to connect Microsoft Entourage 2008 to myEmail
Microsoft Entourage 2008 for Mac, Web Services Edition uses Exchange Web Services as the
primary protocol to communicate with Exchange Server. In addition to several calendaring
improvements, this new version of Entourage synchronizes notes, tasks, and categories with
Exchange Server.
To configure an Exchange account in Entourage Web Services:
1. Open Entourage and navigate to Tools > Accounts in the menu:

2. Click New and select Exchange:
3. Enter your email address, select My account is on an Exchange server and click the
right arrow:

4. Wait for Entourage trying to automatically detect your server settings.
Note: If after detecting your Exchange server does not automatically configure your
settings or if the settings are populated incorrectly or you do not have that
record, click Configure Account Manually.
5. When prompted with an automatic configuration server alert, select Always use my
response for this server and click Allow:

Enter your login information in one of the following ways:
Exchange Domain: Leave this field blank
Account ID: Enter the primary email address of your mailbox
Password: Enter your mailbox password
When finished, under the Entourage menu, select Preferences and then Compose. Make sure
that Automatically check names when sending messages is checked. (This box is
unchecked by default.)
Entourage profile setup is complete.
