Mark your calendars for No Square Theatre’s anticipated
return of Lagunatics: We’ll Take the Low Road! The
Lagunatics will perform on weekends in October at
No Square Theatre at Legion Hall. For the first time

to mix things up! Lagunatics creator, Bree Burgess
Rosen, co-wrote the musical along with Chris Quilter,
Michael O’Malley and Rebecca Lyles to poke fun at
life in Laguna. Don’t forget, Laguna’s only community
theater welcomes donors, underwriters and sponsors to
help keep the good vibes flowing! A delicious pre-show

Vibe’s Sunshine Boy
Lose 1 to 3 sizes in 12 sessions with
It’s a good thing our 24 year old Sunshine Boy,
Mervin Forero, has a passion for shades as his future
looks very bright! When Mervin isn’t busy being
Marketing Director and Bartender at Main Street Bar
and Cabaret, he’s hiking, spear fishing, meditating
and savoring sunsets at Table Rock Beach. He’s
always up to to try new restaurants but currently
favors Selanne’s steaks, Okura’s All You Can Eat
Sushi and Romeo Cucina’s mouthwatering lasagna!
Not surprisingly, Milano Sunglass Shop is a frequent
pit stop as well as North Menswear since they have
something for every occasion! Mervin is all about
contributing to the world by lending a hand to
those in need and doing so with a smile. Although
Laguna is his new home he hopes to be able to
travel the world and learn about other cultures.

Radio Veteran Sandy Fagin
Joins KX 93.5 FM!
Beginning his career in 1972 in
upstate New York, Sandy was
instrumental in introducing
Bruce Springsteen to the world
via radio and in 1976 he signed
on with WBAB in Long Island,
a station reporting on the
artists of the day to the trade
magazines.
Whatever Sandy played at
WBAB really moved the charts
and breaking big acts became
his specialty. During his second
decade as a disc jockey, the
music industry began changing. MTV redefined the way
audiences got their first exposure to new bands and
radio formatting was altered as consultants began to
dictate the music being aired. Around this time Sandy
shifted his career focus to Real Estate. But radio is in his
blood, so not long after leaving WBAB Sandy created a
unique radio talk show called Real Estate Insider.
During the 1990’s, Sandy witnessed large corporations
buying up almost all the independent radio stations and
listening to music went from a spontaneous exciting
experience to a uniformly programmed homogenous
experience which literally left new artists in the dust.
For Sandy, joining KX 93.5 is an exciting step as the
focus of our local station is primed on highlighting
new music just like WBAB back when he began his
career. Sandy collaborates with station manager Tyler
Russell and fellow jockey Jason Feddy to bring you the
freshest talent out there! Just check out Sandy’s “King
of the Beach,” a regular feature showcasing new artists
competing against one another letting listeners decide
who makes the playlist!
When asked what the ultimate segment for his show
would be, Sandy said “a chat with Bob Dylan or a drop
in by The Rolling Stones!” Let’s cross our fingers for him,
and until then keep your radio dialed into KX 93.5 FM
for cutting edge tunes from breaking artists you’ll hear
in Laguna first!
