CMS Tableau on Article 51 of the Indian Constitution
wins second prize at Republic Day Parade 2010
CMS Republic Day Tableau based on
Article 51 of the Constitution of India was highly
applauded at this year's Republic Day Parade as
it proudly moved along the main road
proclaiming the urgent need to form a World
Parliament, World Court of Justice and a World
Government Secretariat. According to renowned
educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi, Founder of
CMS, 'Article 51 of the Constitution of India' is
the answer to solving the problems of the world
peacefully as it will unite all the countries of the
world into one single political entity with the
CMS Republic Day Tableau based on Article 51
thread of love, peace, harmony, cooperation and
of the Constitution of India
unity. The quintessence of the tableau was to
instil feelings of oneness of mankind, the need for
united efforts of the entire human race to form a consensus for immediate formation of world
Parliament, world court of Justice and World Government to herald everlasting peace on earth. The
theme of the tableau was corroborated by the loud clapping of the crowds that had lined one both sides
of the road through which it passed. The various Branches of CMS presented inspiring and colourful
cultural items, folk dances, drills and action songs much to the delight of the spectators. Most of these
cultural items were awarded prizes.
(see details on pages 4 and 5)
Grand Gala of Folk Dances at CISV Camp
Children participating in a month-long 16th
Children's International Summer Village (CISV) Camp
named 'Hop, Step and Jump Village' presented a
spectacular show of traditional folk dances and musical
melodies on their 'Open Day' held at CMS Kanpur Road
auditorium much to the delight of the eager audience
which clapped heartily for them. On the special day of
Dance for unity and friendship by junior
counsellors of CISV Camp
the camp, the Chief Guest, Mrs Sunita Aron, Resident
Editor, Hindustan Times, lit the sacred lamp of learning
to inaugurate the function and blessed the participants of
13 countries. Addressing the august gathering of parents
and distinguished guests, Mrs Aron said that this is a
shining example of unity in diversity in the world
wherein children of different cultures and languages
lived together and learned from each other leading to
mutual understnaing and mutual give and take. This
camp helped in instilling the feelings of World Unity and
World Brotherhood in children and developed long
lasting friendship among them. The present generation
needs to be united and peaceful as they will become the
leaders of tomorrow. Our culture teaches unity and
equality of religions and the ongoing camp was one more
laudable step towards that goal. The young
representatives of New Zealand, Indonesia, Australia,
Canada, Germany, Sweden, Japan, USA, Brazil,
Norway, Denmark, Philippines and India presented
scintillating educational-cultural items keeping the
audience awestruck with the quaint items presented by
them.

Special show of educative
films for street children
CMS screened a special show of educative films
in its ever running 'Character Building Children's Film
Festival' at the Capitol Cinema Hall, on the first day of
New Year, 1 January for the street and orphaned
children. The Founder of CMS and renowned
educationist Dr Jagdish Gandhi was present on the
occasion to share the joy of children. Approximately
850 children of Shaheed Memorial Society,
Rajajipuram, were specially invited by CMS to see the
movies. Dr Jagdish Gandhi met these children very
warmly, gave them sweets and spent quite a time with
them.

I would be happier if

every individual joined
Prize
hands and contributed
something to make the
world a better place to live
in.
The world never felt so
broken in body and soul by frightening
frequent bomb blasts. In actual fact the
economic crisis is main cause of this
turmoil. The changing graph of terrorism
on the global matrix has created fear and
in the world. The present is the era of
global citizenship. If all the people of the
world joined hands to unite the problem
of terrorism would vanish immediately.
The world has changed drastically, be
it religion, politics, climate, advances in
science and the challenges brought along
in their wake. The 26-11-09 attacks in
Mumbai have exposed the breaches in our
security system and the failure of our
political parties. It has shown the folly of
selfishness.
At this moment, people need
compassion, not cold blood. If we do not
change the world for the better it will
change for the worse.
If only we could realize how
humanity should live these terrible things
would not happen. Every one should
realize that light and darkness are the two
facets of life and none can be avoided and
even if we do stumble or fall down we can
always dust ourselves and keep going.
What does peace mean? Most of us
would say ending wars, terrorism, armed
conflict and to foster good relations with
every country. Peace is that blissful
feeling which one gets on looking at
misty snow-covered Himalayas, a
beautiful picture, nature's unsurpassable
beauty, or by looking and touching a
flower.
People greet each other in India by
saying "Namastay" which means that
God resides in every individual's heart, so
let us not kill the God in us. Let us stop the
hands of hatred throttling the peace of
mind.
Killing people has become common
and jehad a fond vocation. To escape the
consequences man uses God's name. Kill
people because you want to, but spare
His name!
I agree that mere writing, reading or
preaching would not change the world but
it definitely can change our attitude, and
by tomorrow even if a single individual
looks at the world a bit differently it will
be a change worth toasting!

You Gotta Believe Me!
One night I looked out
of the window and saw my
2nd
neighbour Mr Chandel
Prize
coming out of his house.
He was acting as a puppet
and walking at the back of
his farm. Mr Chandel had
a bad reputation. He used
to chase kids off his land with a pitchfork.
He acted mean and strange. Nobody
showed up anywhere near his farm if they
could help it.
Let me introduce myself. I am a
fourteen year old teenage girl. I am good
at Maths and science. My parents are old
hippies of the sixties. I must be the only
kid in the entire world whose parents
won't have a T.V. in the house. They say
that TV rots the brain. They believe that I
don't have to sit in front of an idiot box that
tells us how to think.
Let's come back to my story. I saw Mr
Chandel sneeking in his field. Now, I was
very curious to know what the matter was
all about. I tiptoed downstairs, opened the
front door and sneaked out to follow Mr
Chandel. When I reached the farm, my
heart practically stopped beating. A flying
saucer stood there.
Now, I realized the whole situation. As
I told you, we had no TV in our house. To
make up for no TV, my parents bought me
a telescope a few years ago. They knew I
liked reading science fiction about outer
space and stuff. From then onwards. I
started watching the sky every night and I
started seeing flying saucers. Sure,
nobody saw them but then nobody else
watched for them. Now, I understood that
this was one of the flying saucers which I
used to see.
It was much bigger than I thought. It
was about as big as half a football field! It
was bright and shiny. There were stairs
going up into the center of it. And walking
up and down the stairs were there. The
aliens! The things from outer space. The
next thing I saw was Mr Chandel talking
to those aliens. They didn't look like
anything I'd ever seen, except in
nightmares.
Their skin was a green colour. They
had giant mush where their hair should be.
They walked on six legs. Two arms grew
out of their back and instead of hands, they
had heads with big, glittery eyes. They
had tentacles all over their heads with
giant claws. A slimy gringo dripped from
their bodies.
My mouth dropped open and I started
trembling. I wanted to get out of there….
fast. But I couldn't leave. I had to see what
they were talking about with Mr Chandel.
Their voices sounded gloppy as if they
had bad throat. And to my surprise, they
were definitely speaking in English. A few
aliens held strange looking silver
instruments. Every few minutes they
pointed them at the sky. Mr Chandel was
talking as if he was hypnotized, he surely
was, by the aliens.
I heard them talk between themselves.
"We are almost at stage three", slobbered
Alien Number One. "This signal will be
the final care." "It is the earthlings own
“Either the world will unite or it will perish.” - Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru
fault, slobbered Alien Number Two.
"Sending television waves out into the
space by them gave us the idea." Alien
Number One said, "We learned their
language and made this Mr Chandel the
Earthling under our control, we told them
to understand the importance of television
to them."
"It has been ten long years the invisible
message we have been broadcasting
through their TV programs have made
them weak and stupid. Earthlings do not
believe in flying saucers. They think we are
science fiction," Alien Number Two
snuffled. This last message will finish
them," Alien Number one continued."
They will not be able to resist, they will be
helpless before us and will simply give
up". "When do we broadcast?" Alien
Number Two asked. "In exactly twenty
earth hours, we start at eight O' Clock
tomorrow. What the Earthlings call prime
time."After that they left.
I couldn't believe my ears. All these
years, TV really had been weakening the
human race! Just as my parents said! May
be the no-TV rule had been a good idea
after all. The next day I looked around. It
was a normal, sunny day. People walked
around. No one knew that aliens were
about to take over the world. No one
seemed to care. But I cared. And I had an
idea.
The aliens had built something to send
out their word waves. Maybe I could build
something that would get in the way of
them, so they wouldn't reach anyone's TV
set. Maybe I could build a mirror to reflect
the alien waves back at them. I raced over
to the supermarket. I grabbed a cart. And I
filled it with every single roll of aluminum
foil in the store. I dragged the foil home to
my garage. I started building my giant
mirror. Then I carried it to Mr. Chandel's
farm.
I made sure no one saw me with my
mirror. I hid it in the woods behind the
barn. Then I crawled closer to see what was
going on. The alien ship sat there. The
satellite dish appeared ready. It looked
awfully big. I managed to haul the screen
up to a high branch of a big tree. From
there, I could see the alien satellite dish. I
only hoped the aliens couldn't see me. I
pointed my screen in the right direction.
Then I waited. At exactly eight o'clock, a
blue light came streaming from the alien
dish. I held my breath. The light hit my
reflector and bounced right back to the
alien ship. I waited, that's when the blue
light went out. The alien dish pulled back
into the ship and then the ship took off,
straight up into the air. The last I saw of it, it
was soaring toward the stars.
I saved the world from alien attack. So
that's the end of my story. I spend a lot of
time behind my telescope these days.
Hey, over there. Did you see those
flashing lights? It's back! Look – the alien
ship is back!
You believe me – don't you?

WE WANT - ONE WORLD PARLIAMENT

-Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru

“Law and Order are the medicine of the body politic and when the
body politic gets sick, medicine must be administered”
2 ESTABLISH

World Unity and World Peace
3 CALL URGENTLY
A meeting of World Leaders
at New Delhi to form a
World Parliament
UN HQ,
New York
INTERNATIONAL COURT
OF
JUSTICE
THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS
When the world is torn asunder with mutual
rivalry, hatred, prejudices, greed and lust for power and
there is disharmony and discord among nations, the
tableau aims at spreading the need for World Unity to
put an end to all this discord and dissension. It also aims
at addressing grave problems like poverty, illiteracy,
environmental changes, terrorism and so on in a
peaceful manner. The time has come when all the
countries must join hands and create a New World
Order based on World Unity, World Peace, Global
Brotherhood and Global Justice. The time has now
arrived when India must take the reins in its hands and
bind the world with the cord of Unity thus fulfilling its
traditional role as 'Jagat Guru'. Our country must take
the initiative to step forward and call a meeting of the
Heads of State of all nations on a common global forum
and initiate the process of converting the United
Nations Organization into a World Parliament and the
International Court of Justice at the Hague,
Netherlands into a World Court of Justice and the
Headquarters of UNO into the World Government
Secretariate for World Administration. By taking such
bold and historic steps only can we hope to save the
world from impending disaster and ruin.
In a speech, the architect of Indian Constitution
Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar stated that "Law
and Order are the medicine of the body politic and
when the body politic gets sick, medicine must be
administered" The body politic has become
completely sick today which immediately needs the
medicine of law and order. The time has reached now
when the countries of the whole world needs to bring
some flexibility in this sovereignty and come to a
common forum to form World Parliament. Article 51
of the Constitution of India is the most unique and
best concept, not only for India but for the whole
world, as it says that State must endeavour to (a)
promote international peace and security (b)
maintain just and honourable relations between
nations (c) foster respect for international law, and
(d) encourage settlement of international disputes
by arbitration.
Salient features of the CMS Republic Day Tableau
1. SINCE ARTICLE 51 URGES THAT INDIA "shall
endeavour", we wish to urge the Government of
India to consider implementing Article 51 by
acting in its true spirit, by calling a meeting of the
World Leaders to reach consensus to act together
for the common good, that is, to work towards
providing a safe and secure future to the world's
two billion children and generations yet-to-beborn. Thus, to deliberate on the formation of a
NEW POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC ORDER OF THE
WORLD (on the pattern of the European
Parliament of 27 countries and European Currency
'EURO' of 16 countries).
2. IN THE 53RD SESSION OF THE UN GENERAL
Assembly held on 10th May, 1999, UN agenda for
deliberations included a New Political and
Economic Order of the world, and again on 26th
May, 2000, I also moved the same resolution at
the UN Millennium Forum of 1350 representatives
of NGOs and Civil Society Organisations of the
world that was held at UN Headquarters in New
York from the 22nd-26th May, 2000, three months
before the First Summit of World Leaders. My
resolution was also passed unanimously, thus
underscoring the urgent need felt by the world's
representatives to form a New Political and
Economic Order of the World. But this item in the
agenda was deleted by a veto power at the
Millennium Summit of the World Leaders.
3. NOW, INDIA IS THE ONLY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD
WHICH HAS A CONSTITUTIONAL MANDATE IN ITS
ARTICLE 51. This, coupled with the philosophy of
'Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam' and 'Jai Jagat'
propagated by Mahatma Gandhi and Vinoba Bhave
and other great men of the world point to the need
for "One World Order". It is the only solution which
can save this hapless world. Therefore, India must
call a meeting of the world leaders immediately to
safeguard the future of the two billion children of
the world and generations yet-to-be-born.
(1)
THE SEED OFARTICLE-51 WAS SOWN
ON 13TH DECEMBER, 1946, when Pt. Jawahar Lal
Nehru moved an objective Resolution relating to
International Relations in the Constituent Assembly,
which was passed on 22nd Jan. 1947. This Article was
previously included in the Draft Constitution as Article
40-relating to International Peace & Security and
India’s International relations.
(2)
AMENDMENTS WERE MOVED IN
DRAFTARTICLE 40 and after a lot of discussions and
debates, Chairman of the Drafting Committee of the
Constitution. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, accepted the Article
as in the present amended form, which was finally
passed by the Constituent Assembly and is numbered as
Article 51 of the Constitution of India. It became law of
the land on Republic Day, 26th January, 1950.
On behalf of world's children:
Dr Jagdish Gandhi
Founder-Manager, World’s largest school
a Guinness World Record Holder and
Recipient of UNESCO Prize for Peace Education
- City Montessori School, Lucknow
The front part shows the first Prime Minister of
independent India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru and the scene
of 'World Parliament' along with the architect of Indian
Constitution Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar. This
scene spreads the message to end the worldwide
problems and safeguard the future of two billion
children of the world. 'Article 51 of Indian
Constitution' needs to be adopted to form 'World
Parliament', 'World Government' and 'World Court of
Justice'. This part also throws light on the origin and
gradual evolution of Article 51 of Indian Constitution.
The middle part of the tableau spreads the message to
call the meeting of Heads of States to establish 'A New
World Order' and the young children of CMS can also
be seen dancing on the group song 'Apne Samvidhan
Ki Dhara 51 Apnayen Hum'. The rear part of the
tableau features CMS students appealing for the global
justice, world unity and world peace by transforming
'International Court of Justice' into 'World Court of
Justice' and for World Justice, World Unity and World
Peace transform the Head Office of United Nations
Organization into 'World Government Secretariat'.
On this occasion, the girl students of CMS could be
seen presenting an amazing dance performance on the
tableau song
"Apne Samvidhan ki dhara 51 apnayen hum,
Aao Miljulkar sari duniya ko ek banayen hum, Vishwa
shanti aur suraksha ka isme sandesh diya, Sarvajan
hitay sarvajan sukhay ka isme ullekh kiya, Aisi
Samvidhan ki dhara kahin nahin hai duniya mein,
Aao isko apnakar dharti ko swarg banayen hum, Apne
Samvidhan Ki dhara 51 apnayen hum". Through their
group dance, the girl students gave the message that
India is the only country in the whole world which has
such unique provision of World Unity and World Peace
in its Constitution. Come, let us accept and implement
Article 51 of the Indian Constitution with the spirit of
welfare and happiness of all human beings, Sarvjan
Hitay, Sarvjan Sukhay and spread this thoughtful
message throughout the world.
“Law and Order are the medicine of the body politic and when the body politic gets sick, medicine must be administered.” - Dr. B R Ambedkar

REDUCE EXAM FEVER
Exams are round the corner and most of the students have been asking us about foods which will reduce their
stress levels for the next 2 months.
While taking frequent breaks and breathing in fresh oxygen gives a big boost to the brain and eyes, you can
also depend on certain foods to calm down (BODYAND BRAIN).
Sweet Potato – This winter vegetable is the big brother of the all time favourite - potato (but only much
sweeter – similar to the brother team of Salman and Sohail Khan).Potatoes pack in the punch and are eaten in a
variety of ways including baked, grilled, mughlai, thai style and south Indian and are the star amongst all of
you. It is also available throughout the year. BUT the sweet potato has nutrients which will soothe out frayed
nerves and give you extra energy (it contains natural sugar for the brain).
Sweet potatoes are only seen during the winters and for a good reason too. They keep the body warm and
prepare it for summers. It is served on the streets as a chat (not that this is healthy, since it is not hygienic) – you
can make the same chat at home with some tangy masalas and devour them while taking that oxygen break. –
Breath in – Pop in a piece – Breath out.ADELICIOUS WAY OFABREAKAND RECHARGEING.
The best part is sweet potato can be eaten with its skin (which contains most of the essential nutrients), it can be
consumed fresh as juice (combine it with carrot and spinach), can be grilled, buttered and limed. Winters are
lovable if only for the sweet potatoes.
