he recent flanker of Miss Dior Chérie, named Miss
Dior Chérie L’Eau, is a fresh smelling, invigorating
interpretation of the original fragrance. Said to be the
personification of spring and an awakening of the senses,
the fragrance has refreshing top notes of Green Mandarin,
Bitter Orange, Green Tangerine, and Strawberry Leaves.
The heart smells delectable with notes of Gardenia, Pink
Jasmine, Violet, Caramel Popcorn, and Strawberry Sorbet
and dries down to a luminous base of Patchouli and White
Musk. The sparkling and alluring scent of Miss Dior Chérie
L’Eau is bottled in the same fashion as Miss Dior Chérie.
The color of the fragrance is a light water green, which
symbolizes happiness and spontaneity.

nfusion de Fleur d’Oranger is the first fragrance of a new
collection from Prada named Ephemeral Infusion. Each new
fragrance in the Ephemeral Infusion collection will be inspired
by one of the Prada’s Exclusive Scents. Infusion de Fleur de Fleur
d’Oranger appeals to an artisanal spirit. Created around the
Orange flower, the fragrance evokes a light memory of the main
ingredient. The scent is enriched by Neroli and Tangerine in the
top and Tuberose and Jasmine in fond. The bottle is the same
as the Infusion d’Iris and Infusion d’Homme ones, reminiscent
of old-fashioned perfume bottles, adorned with a metallic
side label and stamped with Prada’s historical logo. The only
difference is the addition of an orange cap. The perfume comes
in a box decorated with green leaves, orange fruits and a pink
floral print that was used in Prada’s fall/winter 2003 collection
ready-to-wear.

iesel’s latest men’s fragrance is called Only the
Brave. The scent opens with sparkling notes of
Lemon, Tangerine, and Coriander Leaves. The
heart contains Violet Leaves, Cistus Labdanum, and
Rosemary and the base features Leather, Cedarwood
and Styrax Balsam.
This new scent is encased in a glass bottled sculpted
to resemble a clenched fist and said to be inspired by
Diesel founder, Renzo Rosso, and his tattooed knuckles.
The print advertising for the brand was shot by British
photographer Platon and features star rapper Common,
as well as models Daniel Pimentel, Sam Way, and Tony
Wad.

o create Versense, Donatella Versace composed
a floral bouquet consisting of flowers, fruits, and
foliage, as she reminded of the Mediterranean. The
fragrance is reminiscent of the Milanese fashion house’s
original women’s perfume and is bottled in an identical
flacon decorated with the traditional Versace symbol. The
pale green juice, inspired by emeralds, is an entirely new
creation, aimed at a modern, younger customer. Versense
is a contemporary floral bouquet, with a swirl of citrus,
Bergamot, and Green Mandarins married to a prickly
Pear on top. The heart features Jasmine, Cardamom,
and Sea Lily, while the woody base mixes Sandalwood,
Cedarwood, Olive Tree, and Musk. The advertising face
of the campaign is Toni Garrn and photographed by
Michelangelo di Battista.

’Essence is the new Cerruti fragrance for men. Created
for an elegantly sensual gentleman, the scent opens with
Bergamot, Cardamom, and white Pepper. The middle
of the fragrance is composed of Leather, Saffron and Cistus
Labdanum, and the base notes feature Musk, Amber,
Cedarwood, and Benzoin.
L’Essence is presented in a classic cologne bottle, with
masculine lines and a steel cap. The ad campaign, filled with
light and cascading shadows, portrays a dark sensuality.

Energy Game, is the newest flanker of
the Benetton Energy fragrances. Energy
Pop was created for women who like fresh
and playful scents that have a memorable
quality. The top notes of the scent are tonic
and accented by Green Apple, Aquatic
accords, Violet leaf, and red Berries. The heart
is composed of Jasmine, Tuberose, Rose and
Lily of the Valley. The fragrance dries down
into a deep base of Musk, Sandalwood, and
Amber. The bottle shape is the same as the
original Energy fragrance, but the designs
differ in that the Energy Pop bottle is styled
with a pop art and colorful disco flare.

The top notes bring their deep freshness, with
Bergamot, Tangerine, White Spice, and Frozen
Mistletoe. The heart is creamy with a slight
cotton flower effect through Peony, Freesia,
Jasmine, and Winter Rose. The base embodies
the cocoon facet and features Musk, Cedarwood, and Sandalwood.
The bottle is made of frosted glass, elegant and
classical in shape and the light purple colour
softens the icy cool aspect.

A
ldehydes, with their high-quality raw material effects and ability
to bring modernity to new fragrances, have made a notable
reappearance in Haute Couture perfumery launches.
Within the realm of aldehydes, feminine fragrances tend to pay
homage to traditional perfumery while masculine fragrances are using
aldehydes in new ways.
Popular now are “fresh” aldehydic men’s fragrances, which convey a
clean scent and intensify the fragrance. For example, aldehydes bring
out the citrus notes in Infusion d’Homme by Prada, the spicy notes in
Dior Homme Sport and the aquatic notes in Play by Givenchy.
