Weiner, Retired Principal Percussionist of the Cleveland Orchestra
will present “A View from Stage
of the Cleveland Orchestra” on
Thursday, May 9, 2013, at 7 pm
at Westlake Porter Public Library.
Mr. Weiner, who was appointed by
George Szell in 1963, and served
in the position of Principal Percussionist for 43 years, will share
memories and commentary from
48 years of rehearsals, concerts,
tours and other experiences as a
member of The Cleveland Orchestra. He has been a four decade
member of the Percussive Arts Society, presenting clinics and teaching labs. He is Co-Head of the
Percussion and Timpani Department at The Cleveland Institute of
Music and is a faculty member of
The National Orchestral Institute.
He has been guest faculty at the
New World Symphony and was
previously a faculty member at
Oberlin College. Please join us for
what promises to be an enlightening and entertaining evening

Judi Krew returns to W-WAC with
a presention: “Fascinating Faces
from Interesting Places”. Judi will
do a PowerPoint of various faces
and the stories behind who they
are or how she captured the photographs for her pastel portraits.
Be prepared for wonderful pastels and a presentation that will
be sparked with Judi’s refreshing
and often times humorous style.
Companion to the pastels will
be a glimpse at “Hoard Couture”
dresses, fashioned and created,
by Judi that will also bring smiles
and chuckles to audience faces.

and more, Deutschman will demonstrate
