SUNDAY SCHOOL SIGN UP!
It’s the time of the year where the Sunday school
coordinators are working on the 2014-2015 program. We
have put up the new sign-up sheet for the full 2014-2015
season (September to June). Our first official date of the fall
session is September 14. We have 11 classes from 3 year
olds to grade 3. We have 96 students in these classes all
together. We encourage everyone 15 years old and up to
teach. You could share a few months with another person,
alternating weeks. We are also looking for helper’s grade 7
and up. We appreciate all those who have volunteered in
the previous years and we look forward to seeing you back in
the fall. Thank you, your Sunday school coordinators, Cindy
Siebenga, Karri Folkerts, and Rosanne Bangma. If you have

new picture directory
We are going to be putting together a new picture directory in
the fall. And we are hoping to get all of our families, couples,
and all of our single members to email their family photos (or
selfies) to Pastor Dayna at [email protected].
Over the summer months we will be busy updating the
directories as well. In the next few weeks check your
mailboxes for a sheet to fill out address changes, updated
phone numbers, etc…
Photography Needed For The Front Of The Church
We have entered what is called Ordinary Time in the church
calendar. In order to remind us that all the 'ordinary' things we do
and see are encompassed by God, we are asking you to take
pictures of things that you see everyday (something besides your
family) that you are thankful for, have revealed God's presence to
you, or make you wonder how God is there. So, for instance, a
picture of books, toys, walking canes, scenery, tractor, cow, chair,
coffee, eggs, spatulas, etc. Take these pictures on your phones or on
a digital camera and send them to Pastor Dayna by email
([email protected]) or text them to 403-848-2231.
Thanksgiving Art Show
To all of you who are artists, want to be artists, creative, and
non creative types of all ages. We are hoping to have an art
show for thanksgiving. The pieces in this art show would be
created by people within this congregation and should be
centered around the theme of thankfulness. All mediums will
be accepted. Start thinking about this now, and start creating
before Sept! :) If you are interested in submitting art, please
contact Pastor Dayna for more information and guidelines.
Young Adults Hike
Hey Young Adults it’s time for our annual Young Adults Hike.
This year we will be going to Lake of the Falls. We will be
leaving the night of August 14th (Thursday) and returning
Sunday, August 17th. If you are interested or have any

GIDEON GOLF TOURNAMENT
At the Meadowlands Golf Course, Sylvan Lake, on
Wednesday, August 20, 2014 with a 12:00 pm shotgun
start. Lunch and banquet and lots of prizes. Also a silent
and live auction in support of the printing of Bibles. $150
per person, come as a single, pair, trio, or a full team.

GEMS Camp
Tomorrow, Monday Aug 11, 50 GEMS and 20 staff will gather
together at the Rehoboth Facility at Gull Lake for a week of
activities, fun, crafts and praising the Lord in His beautiful
environment. This is the 24th year of GEMS camp! We praise the
Lord for His goodness and protective care over the camp these past
years, and ask for your prayers for a week of good health and safety
for all those attending, and also for sunshine! Thank you to
everyone who organized donated and/or transported food for
camp! It is such a big help! Chrissie Nauta and Cindy Grebely
“We Care, We Ride” Fundraiser
On September 6th, 2014 we will be hosting our third annual “We
Care, We Ride” fundraiser in Support of the Central Alberta
Pregnancy Care Centre. This motorcycle rally/scavenger hunt is
a great opportunity to share the work of the CAPCC, raise funds
and have fun in the process.

Ride For Your Neighbours on October 4, 2014
in the Ride for Refuge. Shalom Counselling
Centre is a partner charity and we are seeking
individuals and families who want to participate
in a fun bike-a-thon that supports charities that
serve the displaced, vulnerable and exploited across Canada. Team
leaders are also needed. Funds raised for Shalom will be used for
