VOLUNTEERING
AT QQ-DRIVE:
Every Spring and Fall, many fellow
listeners troop through our doors
and sit at our desks, giving their time
and energy and sometimes even sleep
to answer phones and enter pledges
during the 3 days of Q-Drive. With
90 slots to fill, Q-Drive volunteers are
the heart of what keeps Q90FM alive
and able to keep helping hurting
youth and reaching the world for
Christ.
We are all too familiar with the
fear running rampant about economic and social problems. But,
God tells those who belong to
Him to not be afraid, and to use,
even embrace these opportunities
to strengthen faith during troubling times. Jesus said, “…upon
this rock I will build my church
and the gates of hell will not
prevail against it.”
We selected Tenth Avenue
North’s “By Your Side” as our
theme this Q-Drive. As Christians, we are to believe on the
eternal promise of God that He
will always be by our side and
we, His children, who believe in
Jesus as our Lord and Savior to
know that God never abandons
us even when we don’t feel Him
near. So no matter what our circumstances, let’s keep our eye on

Q90FM HopeNet: One Year And Counting!
HopeNet is now one year old! These past 13 months, we have been able to help many teens and young adults through
the nightly “Hope in the Nighttime” interactive live radio broadcast with BB Foster, through 16 positive events sponsored for teens in our community, and through our Prayer Partner-staffed chat room, The HopeRoom.
Since March 17, 2008, we have had in our HopeRoom:
5 students convinced to put down their weapon and choose to live
6 students freed from cutting addictions; 1 freed of a drug addiction / 4 students who gave their lives to Christ
17 students connected with counselors; 14 plugged into Christian peer groups / Over 3000 visits to our chat room
Students' needs are different than what they were five years ago. From temptations of cutting and overdose, they are
dealing with it all. Sometimes it just takes one person, reaching out and telling them God loves them when it seems no
one else does, to make a huge impact on their lives. Here's what they say:
"It's been 5 weeks now since I cut! I am doing alright! Thanks for being there through it all, and always talking to me when I was so tempted
to give in." Sasha
"God used some people in the Hope Room to keep me from doing the unthinkable last night. For some reason God used them to show me it
wasn't my time yet. I am so thankful for those people. God used them to keep me alive basically." Melissa

Tower Update: Loaves and Fishes and the FCC

Q90 Partners with BadgerComm/Cellcom
Q90FM is partnering with Christian-owned BadgerComm to offer
our listeners savings on their cell & home phone services through
CellCom. Not only will you have the chance to save money, but
BadgerComm is donating part of the proceeds to support Q90 and
HopeNet.
Our goal is to raise $15,000 per year for HopeNet through our partnership with BadgerComm & CellCom. To obtain a no obligation

the BadgerComm/Cellcom link on our front page. Save money and
support HopeNet as we help hurting youth find hope in Jesus.
In the end of a three year process, I am pleased to announce the Federal Communication Commission’s (FCC) approval Q90 for broadcasting into the Sheboygan & Port Washington areas. Though
some final hurdles must still be crossed, this represents a critical
move for our station as we seek to bring the blessings of the Positive
Music Choice and HopeNet to more people. Logically speaking,
getting up & running in Port Washington depends upon the Sheboygan permit. Combined, these locations would increase our potential listening audience by more than 250,000.
Before we can move ahead, a suitable tower location must be found.
Then, the approximately $30,000 needed to cover the cost of equipment and first year tower rental must be raised. This means a 6%
increase in expenses will allow us to impact 40+% more people.
That kind of increase reminds me of when Jesus fed the multitudes.
Would you pray with me that God will provide the “loaves and
fishes”, allowing us to bring this dream to life in His perfect time?
Q90 Days of Summer:
While summer is a greatly anticipated time of excitement and relaxation, Q 90 listeners are also mindful of the fact that our responsibilities
don’t end when the vacation begins during the ”Q 90 Days of Summer.” That’s why our listeners have literally rolled up their sleeves for
the past 6 years during the Q 90 Pints of Summer. To our knowledge, this annual event is the only one of its kind in the nation and, thanks
to you, has been a God-send for the American Red Cross at its time of greatest need. It is an ongoing testament to the importance Christians
place on serving their community.
We’d like to make this year’s “Q 90 Pints” our most successful ever with your help we will. Make an appointment with the American Red
Cross in your area between Memorial Day and Labor Day and write “Q 90 FM” in the WAO box of your info sheet and don’t forget Super
Donor Days – July 2nd and 3rd at the Brown County Arena.
