AN APPEAL TO OUR
DEAR DEVOTEES
Kalibari, a name we have been familiar since our
childhood, now finally in Michigan. Since its
inauguration during Durga Puja 2015, we have
organized most of the traditional Hindu religious
events in addition to Sunday Satyanarayan Puja.
We want to thank all of you who have already
visited and those who have contributed. We also
welcome those who haven’t visited Maa’s Temple
yet but their hearts are calling them to do so.
The building we purchased used to be a preschool. It requires a substantial remodeling work
to update the building to meet temple needs. To
accomplish this objective we took multiple
development projects with the targeted
completion on or before upcoming Durga Puja
2016:

Introduction
The Satyanarayan Puja is a Hindu religious
observance. As the name signifies, Satyanarayan
is an incarnation of Lord Sriman Narayana, or
Lord Vishnu. The puja is very popular in all parts
of India & Bangladesh. It is a ritual performed by
Hindus before any major event like a wedding,
house-warming ceremony, to have an
achievement and any special occasion. It is in a
way an offering of gratitude to the Lord
Satyanarayan. It can be performed on any day for
any reason but it is usually done on the full moon
day or during the waxing fortnight of the moon
