Federal Express World Headquarters
SWA provided site planning and full landscape
architectural services for the new Federal Express
world headquarters on the east side of suburban
Memphis. The development includes eight, three to
four story office buildings totaling 1,106,000 square feet;
courtyards, entry and dining plazas, and pedestrian
pavements. The site preserves the perimeter of this
rolling, wooded 89-acre site, borrowing views of the
adjacent golf course while providing parking for over
4,000 automobiles. The goal of this project is to create
a campus which captures the dynamic spirit of FedEx
and its philosophy, people, service and profit.
