is a cause. It is supporting the community that you
have come to know and love. Celebrating what makes
this area so unique and what you love about living
here and doing business here.
Retail Alliance began developing LOVEVA in 2013
as a way to support and celebrate retailers and other
businesses that are the backbone of this community.
Through LOVEVA, the goal of Retail Alliance is to
provide a tool to retailers and other small businesses
across Hampton Roads. The app and website, as
well as the extensive marketing campaign, provides
retailers with a tool to track foot traffic. At the same
time, retailers are able to use the app and website as
a way to let the local community know what it is that
they do to make Hampton Roads a better place. By
connecting the retailer and consumer, LOVEVA has
the power to change the way consumers in this area
shop.
In addition, the LOVEVA campaign assists its local
businesses in revenue generation, a much needed
economic stimulus, as well as in the establishment
and expansion of a positive image for those same
businesses. It is critical for this region, traditionally a
hotbed for defense spending, to diversify itself and to
create a new pillar to its economy.
But what makes the LOVEVA program so special is
the network it creates. This program isn’t about one
local business encouraging consumers to think about
the importance of local first. Instead, this program is
cooperation of local, like-minded business owners
who have banded together and put the cause first. By
creating a program that lets all businesses join together
they are able to harness the power of many – and put
it to the best possible use.
Hampton Roads is a region that has been recognized
for being made up of citizens from all over the
country…but LOVEVA is uniquely Hampton Roads.
Our second round of advertising commences at the
end of October 2015 and runs through to December
24, 2015, during the busiest season in retail. We
are providing a rare opportunity to be involved in
advertising your business on TV and digital at a very
affordable rate, while also advocating for the buy local
cause and LOVEVA.
