Why Advertise?
It’s a proven fact -- when it comes to increasing community exposure and capturing your share of the
profits -- advertising works. By actively promoting your product or service through advertising, you
can generate the sales you need to make your business a success.
When you use effective advertising, you can:
INVEST IN SUCCESS
Research has shown that advertising offers long-term advantages. A study of more
than 3,000 companies revealed that businesses that did not advertise grew at half
the rate of those businesses that advertised regularly, while those who maintained
or expanded their advertising experienced a sales increase of up to 100 percent
within 5 years.
CREATE STORE TRAFFIC
Getting customers through the door is the first step to making a sale. By
advertising your products or services you can increase your customer base and
make the sales you need to succeed.
ATTRACT NEW CUSTOMERS
As most communities experience a growth in transient populations, the increasing
number of potential buyers that move into your area offer your business new
market opportunities that promise greater revenues.
ENCOURAGE NEW CUSTOMERS
Although prices and service influence customers, advertising will enable you to
outstride the competition and keep your business in the public eye.
GENERATE CONTINUOUS BUSINESS
Only advertising can provide you with the opportunity to reach thousands of
customers at a time. This opens your door to more sales each and every day.
BUILD A BETTER IMAGE FOR YOUR BUSINESS
With advertising your business becomes a vital presence in the community. The
image you create through advertising increases your visibility and brings you
respect among your peers and your customers.
The Local Station.
Why Radio?
More than any other advertising medium, radio can reach qualified potential candidates in more
places, more frequently, and with more creativity and imagination.
When you use radio to advertise you will:
REACH POTENTIAL CANDIDATES AT HOME, IN THE CAR, AT THE
OFFICE, AND ONLINE
Studies have shown that on-the-go Americans spend an average of three hours a day
tuned in to the only medium that has become their constant travel and leisure
companion -- radio. Qualified candidates become a captive audience for your message.
SEND A ONE-ON-ONE MESSAGE
Radio advertising creates a more intimate relationship between your business and the
listening audience. By using an effective combination of sound effects, music, voices
and words, you can personalize your radio advertising to continually attract a growing
share of the market.
CREATE A COST-EFFECTIVE ADVERTISING MEDIUM FOR YOUR
BUSINESS
Because minimum time and expense is spent in producing a commercial, a radio
recruitment program easily fits well within your marketing budget.
DELIVER A MORE CREATIVE AND PERSUASIVE MESSAGE
With the simple yet attention-getting elements of radio advertising, you can create
interest, command attention, and compel qualified candidates to head directly to the
front door of your business.
GET RESULTS!!!
Radio doesn’t reach everyone - just 95.5% of the twelve + population in America
Monday through Sunday.

Why WRNJ?
WRNJ is all about you. It’s about your family, friends and neighbors. It’s about the communities we all
call home.
Here are just some of the reasons local businesses have consistently chosen to advertise on
WRNJ Radio:
WE HAVE A PROVEN RECORD OF SUCCESS!
For more than thirty years, hundreds of businesses have experienced great success in
their radio advertising campaigns working with our excellent team of writers, producers,
and sales professionals.
WE HAVE LISTENER LOYALTY

ourselves as the driving force in local news and information in Northwest New Jersey.
There is no daily newspaper published in the Hackettstown area.
WRNJ RADIO IS PERSONAL
Our station is about localism...news about local towns, local schools, local sports, local
commentary and local events. We offer the variety area listeners rely on for interesting,
informative and entertaining programs.
WE WRITE AND PRODUCE EFFECTIVE COMMERCIALS
We are very proud to be winners of national, state and regional awards for our
commercials. Far more important to us is that our commercials are effective. They’re
designed to promote and sell your products and services. They are designed to get
results.
WE ARE INVOLVED IN THE COMMUNITY
We’ve been told that community involvement is our middle name (OK, two middle
names.) From our participation in on-going projects to crisis response, we’ve helped raise
well over 3 million dollars for local individuals, families and charities since we first went on
the air in 1976.

Health Care Supply. ”
SKYLAND WORLD TRAVEL - Hackettstown, NJ
Sandi Vaessen - Owner
(908) 852-7081
“We’ve been very impressed. We weren’t getting very good results with newspaper or direct mail
so we tried WRNJ and we haven’t looked back in over 5 years. Our association with that station
connects us to the community in a way nothing else could. The results have been very good for
our bottom line. And I can tell you honestly that I’ve actually advised a number of other businesses to advertise with WRNJ. I say to people, ‘You should do this...it really works.’ RNJ is local,
it‘s friendly, it’s personal and it’s perfect for a local business on a limited budget. You don’t need
to reach everyone. You just need to reach the right people over and over and over. WRNJ does
that for Skyland Travel.”

COMPANIES WE KEEP
SKYLANDS COMMUNITY PHARMACY - Hackettstown, NJ
Bill Lerman - Owner
(908) 852-3784
“With WRNJ we get that small town touch and feeling that we need for our business and we’ve
always been pleased with the professional quality commercials they’ve developed for us over the

GODLEWSKY FARM & GREENHOUSES - Great Meadows, NJ
Patty Godlewsky Swider - Owner
(908) 637-4927
“We feel that our relationship with the station over the years has really been a positive one. They
really helped us build up our clientele and we’ve always been pleased with the quality of our
commercials. Our jingle is the best thing we ever did...everyone should have one. We feel we’re
always taken care of when our WRNJ rep is around. ”
CALICO COUNTRY FLOWERS - Hackettstown, NJ
Elise Holck - Owner
(908) 852-0556
“Twelve years ago I was ready to cancel my radio advertising for financial reasons, but my
account executive cautioned against that. He said that consistency in advertising was the key to
success. It was good advice. Radio has proven to be the BEST advertising tool I’ve ever used. It
continues to amaze me how many people listen to their radios every morning. I constantly refer
new clients to the radio station and encourage them to take that big step and advertise on
WRNJ!”
WARREN COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE - Washington, NJ
Will Austin - President
(908) 835-2433
“Advertising on WRNJ has been a great way for us to reach the Warren County community at a
low cost. The station’s production staff was great to work with and we were able to feature our
own students and staff in our ads. I recommend making WRNJ part of your next marketing
campaign. ”
The Local Station.
COMPANIES WE KEEP
WHAT IN THE WORLD - Mansfield, NJ
Vicki & Al Kopacka - Owner
(908) 850-8942
“When my wife Vicki and I conceived What In The World back in 2004, we were new to retail but
we knew advertising was key. When WRNJ approached us, we were skeptical at first, but the
decision to advertise on their radio station was one of the smartest and soundest moves we’ve
ever made! Not only do they reach a varied and vast audience, they do it with great panache and
are generous with their knowledge and experience, all the while maintaining a friendly and
professional relationship.
Simply said: If you’re gonna do business in the Hackettstown listening area, you can’t miss by
getting on board with WRNJ for advertising!”
BRIAN’S MARKET- Hackettstown, NJ
Brian Kuehner, Owner
(908) 813-3832
“WRNJ makes the advertising process easy for me, it’s something I don’t have a lot of time for.
And when I need to get something on the air right away or change copy quickly, they’re all over
it. They’re local…I’m local. And the relationship has been a very good fit for us.”
PRICKLY PEAR RESTAURANT - Hackettstown, NJ
Linda Andes - Owner
(908) 979-0003
“You guys hit all the notes just right. You really took the time to ‘get us’ and are able to create
commercials that are hitting home with your audience…which adds up to lots of new customers
for us. The ‘I Feel Prickly’ campaign has been a big winner. Thanks for being there from the
beginning.”
[AN E-MAIL TO CHUCK REIGER, DOC SOUTH, AND DAN HOLLIS]
Chris Coyle (Co-Founder of Legendary Radio Ranch, with Dick Orkin)
“I had a chance to listen to the commercials you produced and sent to us. I’m impressed with the
production value. You obviously work very hard to make your clients happy!”
