JUNE 24-25, 2016 The District Convention Committee has met, established guidelines, secured the hotel and signed the talent for the “greatest show in District history.” Tha-a-a-a-t’s right, folks, “the committee” is planning to make this thee most memorable convention in District 16 history. The Hilton Hotel on Post Oak is Convention Central and it’s amid some of the most impressive eateries and retail establishments in the entire Houston metropolitan area. In fact, reservations are already underway by the locals who want to attend all the festivities without the inconvenience of driving home at The major profit center for this convention is the Program Book. Volunteers will be named to begin the sales process to ensure that all District and Hellenic organizations have the opportunity to advertise their groups and events. The book will have 168 pages plus the cover, and there are three cover pages – inside front, inside back and back – that are considered prime real estate for effective advertising. . the end of the party. Many of the details will be revealed at our February meetings and will provide many opportunities for our Brothers and Sisters to get involved in the 2016 District 16 Convention that is sure to go down in the annuls of our illustrious history. We have one free seat at the tournament at the ALS Texas Hold’em Tournament so we organized a private gathering at Theo’s Thursday, January 21, 2016. Buy in was $75 and included dinner and drinks. First prize was a ticket to the ALS Tournament. Spectators paid $35 to watch. Can you name the players?
