ENCOURAGING LIFE CHOICES
SUMMER 2016
Another Great Year!
MAKING A DIFFERENCE ... ONE LIFE AT A TIME
What a great evening we had at our
annual Gala Banquet!
Our featured guest speaker, Dr. Marc Newman
was fantastic! His humor, deep intellect, and
heart-felt commitment to the pro-life movement
kept our guests intrigued and entertained
throughout the evening. Julie Kline from Sonora
Regional Medical Center shared an amazing
lifesaving story. Lisa Atkins with Students for Life
also spoke and gave unique insight about what’s
happening at many college campuses around
the nation.
A special “Thank You” to all of our Underwriters
for helping to make this event possible. All of the
proceeds will help us continue to encourage life
choices in our community.
The volunteers who helped did an amazing job!
The staff and volunteers of Foothill Pregnancy
Center, the men and women from our local
churches who came to help decorate and
prepare everything from setting tables to serving
food, and the youth from Twain Harte Bible
Church did a great job of making sure to take very
good care of all our guests.

Ben & Shelby: Their Story
Finding out that the miracle
of life was growing inside my
very own belly was a feeling
that could never be replaced,
and yet so terrifying.
With so many thoughts racing
through my head and several
weeks to wait for a doctor’s
appointment; I was not sure
what I could do to ensure my
baby was growing properly.
The love that began to grow my
for my child was strong and
came over me at an alarming
rate. With this love, both my
fiancé and I, searched
frantically for anyone or
anyplace that could give us an
answer.
As we were driving to Columbia
College a few days later, the
Foothill Pregnancy Center sign
stuck out like a beacon on a
dark and stormy night.
Ben & Shelby cont.
My fiancé, Ben, quickly
investigated and found the
number to call. When we
arrived, skeptical and nervous,
the warming faces and bright
smiles helped to relax and ease
our weary minds. We were able
to make an appointment within
a few days and left feeling a lot
more confident than we had the
entire week prior.
When we arrived for our first
appointment I had butterflies
dancing through my entire
body, and as Ben held my hand
I could feel he was also
anxious. We checked in and
met with the nurse who would
be conducting my very first ultra
sound. This woman was sweet,
concerned, and thoughtful. It
was in that moment that I knew
everything would be ok; I saw
the flutter and twirl of my sweet
little peanut on the screen. Ben
and I were so relieved to see a
heartbeat and were invited to
come back in a few weeks to
see baby one more time.
These wonderful women also
informed us of their splendid
program were we could attend
classes to become more
informed on the health and
safety of our little one. In
addition to becoming more
educated, we would be able to
accumulate baby clothes,
diapers, wipes, and much more
all at no cost to us.
As two college students
working hard to achieve our
goals, welcoming a baby into
the world can be scary; not only
because it is so unpredictable,
but also because it can be
expensive.
The
Foothill
Pregnancy Center gave us
hope and running start in
raising our precious baby boy. It
is not only the services that
were and are being provided to
us; it is also the people who are
encouraging and so gracious. It
is touching to see a group of
people dedicate their time and
energy in helping their
community.
Ben and I feel beyond blessed
to reach out and say thank you
to all these women who have
made it possible to welcome
the love our life into this world.

We are thrilled to use
this amazing technology!
Thank you Tom & Loree

This wonderful tool will
be used after they
