March 2013 Business Spotlights
Thank you for your dedication to the McAlester Community!
Published by: McAlester Area Chamber of Commerce
Progress is evident as we move forward into a time of new beginnings. A change of
seasons is being accompanied by changes throughout our community. The McAlester
Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture is a part of that change. New leadership, new
relationships, and a new and renewed focus are some of the changes you will notice.
The Chamber of Commerce leadership will be working continuously to foster strong
working relationships with our membership and community organizations. These strong
relationships will be the cornerstones in our efforts to strengthen your business and the
McAlester community.

From the Board of Directors
It is a very exciting time to be involved with this community and the McAlester
Chamber of Commerce is at the tip of the spear with this forward progress. Under the
direction and leadership of the new Chairman of the Board, David Keith, the Chamber is
beginning to partner with other community organizations that will ultimately lead to a
synergistic effect focused on strengthening our businesses and community.
The current Board of Directors is dedicated to serving its members and is focused on
adding value to your membership. Your membership in this organization needs to be more
than a plaque that you hang on your wall. We are committed to focusing on ideas and
efforts that will ultimately strengthen your business and bring more people thru your doors.
The Chamber represents a wide variety of business endeavors and entities but the common
goal of the Board and full time staff is to move McAlester forward thru leadership and
partnering! We look forward to serving our members this year and strengthening our
community.
