From the President’s Desk . . .
Happy St. Patrick’s Day to ABWA Camelot.
Tonight let’s celebrate the way of the Irish by counting our blessings, having great
friendships and a love of life.
Ladies I want to keep you in the know. As always I suggest getting plugged into WIN (The ABWA Women’s
Instructional network). You can still listen to the last webinar to inform you on the latest information coming
from National. Remember ABWA will be celebrating our 65 th anniversary and there is a special logo to go with
this.
I just signed up to take the new ABWA educational module “How to be heard a powerful concept.” When
finishing the series of modules you are recognized at the national conference with the Apex Award.
Our District IV Newsletter is online. Congratulations to our Wanda Metzger for being recognized in the
newsletter for 25 years with ABWA.
The national membership campaign is March 1st through May 31st. Get a 65th year badge for giving the gift of a
membership or recruiting a new member.
Thanks to T for getting out the scholarship letters to the schools. We have three $1000 scholarships this year.
Tonight we are also looking forward to hearing the
announcement of our Woman of the Year.
“May you have all the happiness and luck that life can hold.
And at the end of all your rainbows may you find a pot of gold”

Fun Four Leaf Clovers Facts You May Not Know
1. A Four Leaf Clover is actually a mutation of the shamrock (a three-leaf clover), it can only happen
in approximately 1 in 10,000 shamrocks.
2. The Largest Four Leaf Clover Collection is by George J. Kaminski (b. 1951) who has single-handedly
collected 72,927 Four Leaf Clovers since 1995. They were collected from fields within prison grounds
in Pennsylvania.
3. According to legend of western cultures, each of the four leaves represent hope, faith, love and
luck.
4. The late US President, Abraham Lincoln, was said to have carried a Four Leaf Clover every day
except on the night of his infamous visit to Ford's Theater the day he was assassinated.
5. Another way of identifying a real four-leaf clover is that the fourth leaf is usually smaller than the
other three leaves.
Ladies Night Out
Can we hope that winter is finally over?? I think we all are weary of the snow and extreme cold
weather and needed a nice night out with friends! Ten ladies appeared at the Pizza Grille on Thursday,
March 6th – Wanda Metzger, Diane Brokenshire, Ann Cirillo, Donna Nissel, Deb Yates, Kim Jones,
Marianne Troy, Diane Sherwood, Denise Shade and Dottie Badger. Everyone had a great time catching
up.
The group meets the first Thursday of each month. The next gathering will be Thursday, April
3rd at 5:30 at the Pizza Grille in Lemoyne. We would love to see some of our new members join us for
this fun evening of good food, conversation and WINE!
(Pizza Grille is BYOB so bring your favorite to share)
So that we can have enough seating reserved please email
Diane Sherwood at [email protected],

INVOCATION
Lord, in the quiet of this evening
hour, we come to Thee for wisdom
and for power; to view Thy world
through only love-filled eyes; to
grow in understanding; to be wise
and sure to see Thy guiding light;
and thus to know each other as
Thou knowest us. AMEN
BENEDICTION
O Guiding Spirit, guardian of our
days, be with us as we go our
separate ways. Help us to feel
those thoughts that lift and bless;
to know a closer bond of
friendliness; to see Thy beauty
always, every day, translated into
living, this we pray. AMEN
