Astrid Paustian
Luminous Skies with Astrid Paustian
Shake off the winter blues. Watch the process of a colorful sky painting,
as it comes to life through the beautiful medium of pastel.
Boulder painter Astrid Paustian works in many different mediums. She
started painting in pastel about 14 years ago “ I initially tried pastels to enhance and correct my watercolor paintings. I was immediately fascinated by
the intensity of the colors and the fast, direct, application. Pastel is my favorite
medium to create vibrant skies and clouds”.
Astrid’s paintings have won many awards. They can be found in private
and corporate collections throughout Colorado and Europe. She is a Signature
Member of the Pastel Society of Colorado. Her work can be seen on her web
site at www.astridpaustian.com; First Fridays during NoBo Art Walk; and
throughout
the
year
at
the
Art
Center
of
Estes
Park

The BAA board is looking for a publicity person. The
publicity position advertises the monthly meetings, exhibit call for entries, and BAA sponsored exhibits. It involves writing press releases, sending them in emails to
local media, and uploading information to several web
calendars. This takes several hours a month with additional hours when publicizing call for entries or the exhibits. Sample emails and press releases, along with the
email list, are available and ready for use.

Art for Awhile is an exciting art on loan program which was created by the Broomfield Public Art Committee.
Participating artists are chosen by the Public Art Committee to display their art and offer it for sale for a predetermined period of time. Artwork will be displayed on one wall of the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield.
The program affords the artist increased public exposure, as well as the opportunity to sell their work, with a
small percentage of the sale retained by the Broomfield Public Art Committee to be used for the funding of
their permanent collection.
The 1STBANK Center Art for Awhile exhibit is truly an incredible opportunity to reach multiple entertainment
venues within one location. The venue will provide maximum exposure, benefiting the artist and the community.
Visit www.broomfieldpublicart.com to learn more about the program and fill out the application.
