he arttistic expresssion of this troupe of ch

n maany ways, th
heir unique p
perspective on the world – one without sound – informs their art and their performance. In Wings for Clowns, the actors use the language of motion to deliver several miniature performances featuring archetypal characters such as Pierrot, Harlequin, Columbine, Old Man and Old Woman. Trees, Sea, Wind and Rain are the main heroes of the performance. Through these characters the inner life of each performer is revealed and the audience is engaged. The Company The Piano Theatre has existed under the auspices of the Nizhny Novgorod boarding school for deaf children in Russia since 1986. There, deaf children and teenagers are trained in pantomime, clownery, dancing and acting. The Piano Theatre has taken part in more than 50 international theatre festivals and gatherings in Europe, Asia and North America. Director/Manager: Ksenia Nesterova Running Time: 50 minutes Details
