On behalf of the Cherry Valley Festival Committee, I would like to
welcome you to the 23rd annual Cherry Valley Festival Days! Once
again the Committee has worked hard to bring you a weekend of
fun and relaxation that we hope all will enjoy. Come out and enjoy
the food, live music, games and exciting rides. Stop by to see the
Highland Games, check out the antique tractor display, listen to
one of the many musical performers or play BINGO. We have tried
to provide a safe and affordable weekend that will be of interest to
all ages. Plan to take some time out of your busy schedules and
visit with friends and neighbors in a safe and relaxing environment
in the great outdoors! Be reminded the proceeds of the festival continue to support Cherry Valley parks and recreational activities.

Have a great weekend and enjoy the music!

RECYCLING DOES WORK!
Last year the Cherry Valley Festival
Committee introduced recycling to
the festival. KEEP NORTHERN
ILLINOIS BEAUTIFUL provided us
with separate marked receptacles
that were scattered throughout the
festival for discarding bottles and
cans. Inquiries have since been
made regarding the results of that
effort. We are proud to announce
the following summary:
158 bags were presented to
Paper Recovery, with each bag
containing an estimated 100 bottles and cans. Due to the careful
consideration of the festival event
goers in keeping the recycle containers free of trash, 15,800 bottles and cans were sent to be recycled, saving them from the landfill. We were complimented on how well our community embraced the recycling effort
and kept the “clear” recycling bags clean and free of trash.
With that said, we would like to THANK YOU, our patrons, for your environmental stewardship.
Sincerely,
The Festival Committee
