for a wonderful learning experience this past school year. We came into the
acute care setting with anxiety, trepidation and excitement. Your guidance and
support throughout our clinical experience has provided an extraordinary knowledge base which we can build on. Not to be forgotten are also the
ancillary departments (lab, respiratory and radiology) for their contribution to
our knowledge. You exemplify a high level of professionalism and a level of
expertise that has given us goals to strive for. Thanks again for a wonderful

Hi Brothers and Sisters,
FYI and action plan. There has been a continual issue with randomly
selected mail postmarked for delivery to The Memorial Hospital Medical
Clinic at 785 Russell Street being returned to the sender. I have addressed
the issue with the post office 4 times. The Post Master assures me that
there are no active forwards or delivery blocks for mail being sent to 785
Russell Street. The Post Master has also addressed the issue with the
USPS division responsible for address changes. However, there appears
to be a problem within their computer system internally.
If you receive notification from anyone who has received returned mail that
was addressed to TMHMC, please ask them to either forward a copy of the
returned envelope to me or ask them to physically take the envelope to the
post office and show it to the post master. Together we may be able to
ascertain if the problem is with the title of the addressee at 785 Russell.
There are 4 ways to address the clinic:
TMHMC
TMH Medical Clinic
The Memorial Hospital Medical Clinic
The Memorial Hospital MC
We must eliminate the possibility that the mail being returned is actually
being addressed as “The Memorial Hospital”. Please let me know if you
have questions concerning this email. I appreciate all of you help with this
matter.
Thank You,
Vicki Gallegos CMRP

Health and wellness tips for your work, home and life—brought to
you by the insurance and health care specialists at M3 Insurance
Solutions for Business.
Quit for Your Loved Ones
Secondhand smoke is hazardous for their health
You likely know that smoking is
-
Pneumonia and bronchitis,
especially in children
-
Sudden infant death
syndrome (SIDS)
dangerous for your health, and
can cause many diseases and
serious health conditions, but
did you know that you are
putting your loved ones at risk
as well?
Secondhand Smoke
Secondhand smoke has two
forms: the smoke that is
exhaled by a smoker and the
smoke from a burning cigarette,
cigar or pipe. Anyone breathing
in any type of smoke is taking
in the same dangerous
chemicals and toxins as the
person who is smoking.
Surgeon General Report
In 2006, the U.S. Surgeon
General conducted a report on
the effects of secondhand
smoke. Here are some of the
key findings:
-
Secondhand smoke causes
premature death and
disease in children and
adults who do not smoke.
-
Children exposed to
secondhand smoke are at
an increased risk for many
respiratory conditions and
ear problems.
Do you smoke in your home, in
your car or at work? If so, you
are endangering your friends,
co-workers, pets and family
members.
-
There is no safe exposure
level to secondhand smoke.
-
Secondhand smoke
immediately affects heart
and blood circulation in a
harmful way.
Health Risks
Secondhand smoke can cause a
variety of health conditions and
diseases, including:
-
Despite the increasing
limitations on smoking in
public places, millions of
-
Heart disease
-
Chest discomfort, coughing
and trouble breathing
Lung cancer
Asthma
Middle ear infections in
children
Americans are still exposed
to secondhand smoke in
their homes and workplaces.
-
The only way to prevent
secondhand smoke
exposure is to prohibit all
smoking in that building.
Walls and ventilation
systems do not prevent
secondhand smoke
exposure for nonsmokers.
Why Quit?
If you’re looking for motivation
to quit for good, do it for your
loved ones. You can improve
and protect their health along
with your own.
Did you know...?
The American Cancer Society estimates that each year, 46,000
nonsmokers who live with smokers die from heart disease related to
secondhand smoke. In addition, about 3,400 nonsmoking adults die
each year from lung cancer caused by secondhand smoke.
