GRAND OPENING
MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
T
he Home Instead Senior Care family network of locally owned
franchise offices was developed in 1994 with a passionate desire
to be your trusted source in helping your family keep your aging
mother, father, grandparents or friends in their home as they grow
older.
Congratulations! We helped celebrate DentalWorks grand opening,
at their new location 39833 Traditions Drive, on Wednesday February
24th. They are a full service dental office with Dr. Lucio Persichetti
leading the team. The office is beautifully appointed with all the state
of the art equipment. There are several grand opening specials so call
and book your appointment now!
Our locally owned and independently operated home care business
began in 2002 based on the desire to serve the needs of our
community’s elderly adults. Our goal is to provide seniors with the
opportunity to age with dignity and pride in the comfort of their own
home, wherever “home” may be.
Looking For New Customers?
It’s that simple. This is what we do 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The home care services your loved one or friend needs must come
from someone you trust locally. Our senior home care services
include assistance with trips to the doctor, reminders to take the right
medication at the right time, meal preparation, light housekeeping,
errands, shopping, shower assistance, personal care, hygiene,
incontinence care, and even Alzheimer’s care. For the senior who
has just returned home from the hospital or skilled rehabilitation
facility, we have special programs and services that improve
outcomes and help reduce rehospitalizations. Individual plans of
care that are reviewed and approved by a nurse, are developed for
all of our seniors. The end result is a service based relationship
allowing seniors to feel safe and independent while they age in place
in the home they’ve lived in for years.
We open doors
for you!
They’re new to your neighborhood.
They have money to spend.
They need your business.

Meadowbrook Country Club Golf Course Renovation/
Reconstruction – Last fall, Meadowbrook Country Club (MCC)
began the renovation of its 100 year old, championship golf
course. Work completed to date includes mass grading and
replacement of the irrigation system. This spring/summer, MCC
will rebuild each hole, preserving key elements from the original
design. The purpose of the project is to improve playability for
all ability levels, improve turf quality in all weather conditions
and enhance the historic design. The renovation will allow for
sustainable practices over the next 100 years including dramatic
reductions in water usage, improved water quality, reduced
pesticide and herbicide applications and a reduced environmental
footprint.
The golf course architect for the project is Andy Staples. Andy
has gained national attention and awards for several of his recent
projects. Andy feels this may be one of the most significant golf
projects in the United States, given the history of the course and
the ability to optimally utilize a beautiful landform in unison with
Mother Nature.
ZF North America – ZF Group North America is in the
process of extensive interior renovations to their facility at
15811 Centennial Drive. The office, lab and coffee/breakroom
are all being renovated and a new suspension test lab is being
constructed. In addition to the current renovations, ZF group has
indicated a major facility expansion is planned at this location
within the next couple years.
Firehouse Subs – At the February 23, 2016 meeting, the planning
commission approved a covered patio for Firehouse Subs located
on Haggerty Road, south of 8 Mile. The covered patio will be
available for outside dining and will have heaters to extend the
outdoor dining season.
7
DTE Tree Maintenance – Beginning approximately mid-April,
DTE is scheduled to trim trees in the township, and nearby
communities. Within the township, the tree trimming will occur
along the following roadway corridors: 5 Mile between Ridge
and Napier, Napier north of 5 Mile, Northville Road between
5 Mile & 7 Mile, 6 Mile between Haggerty & Northville Road
and 8 Mile between Haggerty and Griswald. The intent of
the work is to deliver safe and reliable electric service. Trees
growing near and into power lines create public safety hazards
and outages. According to DTE, more than two-thirds of the
time customers spend without power is caused by trees. DTE has
successfully completed similar work in many communities last
year, resulting in fewer outages. Recognizing the concerns some
people have about tree trimming and advancing their commitment
to provide reliable power, DTE has developed a process to inform
communities and residents about upcoming work. Before DTE
begins, they will reach out to property owners along the proposed
trim route by using letters, phone calls, knocking on doors and
leaving door hangers if no one is at home. Customers will be
informed about trimming/removals on their property before
work begins and DTE will not remove trees without the property
owner’s written permission. The township office hours are
8:00am – 4:30pm. The planning department can be reached at
248-348-5800, ext 10128.
