ICS TEAMS UP WITH INDIANA PACERS
Students have received order forms for our upcoming Pacers fundraiser
event. Students are encouraged to collect orders, along with payment, for
tickets to our Pacers School Night on April 14th vs. the Washington Wizards. We’ll have a big ICS crowd at the game, and the Irvington Preparatory
Academy Choir will be singing the National Anthem! Tickets are at a discounted rate and ICS earns a portion of the proceeds from each ticket sold to
help support technology initiatives in our schools.
Please complete all orders on the back side of the flyer that was sent home
this week and return with payment in an envelope. Checks are to be made
payable to Irvington Community Schools. All orders, including payment, are
due back at ICS by March 3rd. Tickets will be delivered to students at school
in early April, and students/families will distribute tickets to customers. If
you have any questions about this fundraiser, please contact Ms. Pryor at
357-3770 x143 or [email protected]. Thank you for your support!
NOW ACCEPTING 2015-2016 SCHOOL YEAR APPLICATIONS
Our lottery period for the upcoming school year is now open! We will accept
applications now through February 17th. The lottery will be held on Thursday, February 19th, at 6:30 p.m. in the ICES Gym. If you have a child who is
currently not enrolled with Irvington Community Schools and you would
like to enroll him/her next year, you must submit an application before the
lottery deadline. Siblings of current students are given preference, but you
must fill out the application by the deadline. Applications are available at
each school’s front office as well as online at
.
Currently enrolled students are guaranteed a seat for the next school year
and do not need to reapply. If you do not intend for your current student to
return with us next year, notify us right away so that we can plan appropriately for available seats. If you have any questions regarding the application/
enrollment process, please contact Mike McFadden, ICS Enrollment Coordinator, at [email protected] or 357-3770 x146.

8TH GRADE D.C. TRIP FUNDRAISER AT TEXAS ROADHOUSE
Do you like Texas Roadhouse and want to support a great cause? Then
come out to support our 8th grade Washington, D.C. fundraiser at our
“Texas Roadhouse 10% Night” on Monday, February 23rd, at the Shadeland
Avenue location. When you present the flyer to your server, 10% of your
bill will go back to the 8th graders raising money to go on their class trip this
spring. The 10% support is also honored on carry-out meals. Flyers are
available at the front office of each of our schools. Please take one to present
to your Texas Roadhouse server to ensure that 10% of your bill goes to support the trip. Questions? Contact Dawn Tyler at (317) 626-5205.
ICS DADS CLUB BREAKFAST AND ARBOR PLANNING
The ICS Dads Club will hold a callout breakfast meeting for interested men
in the school community on Saturday, February 21st, at 9 a.m. at Irvington
Preparatory Academy. The top agenda item will be discussing planning for
the upcoming outdoor classroom arbor construction at ICES this spring.
Irvington Community Schools received a $4,700 Lowe’s Toolbox Grant in
January to underwrite the project. Now, all we need are a few good men to
help us build the arbor! Please RSVP by emailing [email protected].
We have several helpful events scheduled for our students and parents in
the coming months to help you prepare for college. On Tuesday, March
3rd, at 6:30 p.m., we will host another College Costs Estimator Workshop.
Please join us for this extremely helpful — and free! —information session
to find out what the results of your college costs estimator mean and how to
plan for paying for college! Also, don’t forget, the FAFSA (Free Application
for Federal Student Aid) is due March 10th for all students attending college in the fall.
