The U.S. equity market remains virtually unchanged since my commentary of last week. Conversely, the
breadth, breadth oscillators, and Options Equity Put/Call Ratio chart (see: $CPCE in Chart 2) showed sell
signals as of last Thursday, and a reversal to buy signals on Friday at the close of the stock market. The
S&P 500 Index price (see: SPY Chart) however, is still showing bullish traits. That said, we will hold to (and
bear in mind) SPY’s prospective trading range of $198-$205-$209 for the time being.
The price of GOLD stalled between $1200 and $1245 while GDX (Gold mining ETF) share prices closed to its
previous high of $21.40 in 2016 with no sign of peaking just yet. GLD (GOLD's ETF) price remains stuck in
the $119 to $115 range. Overall, the price of GOLD remains bullish.
The price of Crude Oil closed above a bullish $38 last Friday and we may yet soon see $43 and $45. Conversely
if crude oil price drops below $38, we may see $35.5, $34.5 and $32.5. I am bullish on the price of Crude as it,
to quip a favored Christmas carol, "T’is the season” for the price of Crude oil to move higher.
The price trend of Natural Gas remains neutral as its price trading range is very narrow and flat, and so, I
wouldn’t be too worried about any open Natgas positions moving against us temporarily.
