Item: Blackbeard’s Rum Cake Carton
Blackbeard’s Trading Company of the Cayman Islands challenged us to create a unique, one-piece
package for their signature rum cakes. Since they offered multiple sizes and a wide variety of
from their competition.
Our solution:
Structure: An octagon shape with locking Tuck Tabs
Substrate: .020 SBS
Inks: 4 Color Process plus Aqueous Coating
Special Feature: Embossing was added to give the carton a rich, high-end look.
The Rum Cake Carton has been very successful for Blackbeard’s. It accomplished everything they
needed as far as look and function, while offering them a lower price point than similar items
customarily offered in expensive tins.
