Wildlife watching and photography tour from Central
Wildlife watching and photography tour from Central Asian steppes to the Gobi Desert
Built like a minuscule Kangaroo, Long-eared Jerboa is a nocturnal inhabitant in the Gobi desert of
Mongolia that jumps up to 10 feet long and runs very fast with the help of its tail balancing the body.
This tour opens the gate to everyone who is interested in revealing the stunning nightlife of the Gobi
Desert. Discover several species of jerboas along with other crepuscular and nocturnal mammals
including Long-eared Jerboa, Thick-Tailed Pygmy Jerboa, Northern Three-Toed Jerboa, Five-Toed
Pygmy Jerboa, Mongolian Jerboa, Desert Hamster, Steppe Polecat and possibly Pallas’s Cat, Grey
Wolf and many more.
With our experienced expert guides, you will not only explore the night life of Gobi, but also will see
diurnal mammals including different species of Sousliks, Asiatic Ibex, Argali Wild Sheep, Przewalski’s
Wild Horse, Mongolian Marmot, Tolai Hare, Pallas’s Pika, Corsac Fox, Red Fox, Goitered Gazelle and
White-tailed Gazelle in the rugged terrain of Mongolian steppes and Gobi desert.
Our tour will help Mongolian mammal biologists gather significant images for Gobi desert mammal
species, which will contribute to Field Guide to the Mammals of Mongolia. Therefore, our tour will
play the significant role for public awareness and conservation for these species.
