Family Prayer
L
oving and faithful God, through the years the people of our archdiocese have appreciated the prayers
and love of Our Lady of Prompt Succor in times of
war, disaster, epidemic and illness. We come to you, Father, with Mary our Mother, and ask you to help us in the
battle of today against violence, murder and racism.
We implore you to give us your wisdom that we may build
a community founded on the values of Jesus, which gives
respect to the life and dignity of all people.
Bless parents that they may form their children in faith.
Bless and protect our youth that they may be peacemakers of our time. Give consolation to those who have lost
loved ones through violence.
Hear our prayer and give us the perseverance to be a voice
for life and human dignity in our community.

All Are Welcome
1. Let us build a house
where love can dwell
And all can safely live,
A place where
saints and children tell
How hearts learn to forgive.
Built of hopes
and dreams and visions,
Rock of faith and vault of
grace;
Here the love of Christ shall
end divisions:
Refrain
All are welcome, all are welcome,
all are welcome in this place.
2. Let us build a house
“God is rich in mercy . . .” Ephesians 2:4
where prophets speak,
And words are strong and
true,
Where all God's children
dare to seek
To dream God's reign anew.
Here the cross shall stand as
witness
And a symbol of God's grace;
Here as one we claim
the faith of Jesus:
3. Let us build a house where
love is found
In water, wine and wheat:
A banquet hall on holy
ground,
Where peace and jus.ce
meet.
Here the love of God,
through Jesus,
Is revealed in .me and space;
As we share in Christ the
feast that frees us:

The Wonderful Cross
1. When I survey the wondrous cross
on which the Prince of Glory died,
my richest gain I count but loss,
And pour contempt on all my pride
2. See from His head, His hands, His feet,
sorrow and love flow mingled down;
Did e'er such love and sorrow meet,
or thorns compose so rich a crown?
Refrain
O the wonderful cross,
O the wonderful cross
bids me come and die and find
that I may truly live.
O the wonderful cross,
O the wonderful cross;
All who gather here by grace
draw near and bless Your name.
3. Were the whole realm of nature mine,
that were an offering far too small.
Love so amazing, so divine,
demands my soul, my life, my all.

Communion
At That First Eucharist
1. At that first Eucharist
before you died,
O Lord, you prayed that
all be one in you;
At this our Eucharist
again preside,
And in our hearts your
law of love renew.
Thus may we all one Bread,
one Body be;
Through this blest Sacrament
of Unity.
2. For all your church,
O Lord, we intercede;
O make our lack of
charity to cease;
Draw us the nearer
each to each we plead,
By drawing all to you,
O Prince of Peace.
Thus may we all one Bread,
one Body be;
Page 2
Through this blest Sacrament
of Unity.
Misa - 7:00 pm
3. We pray for those who
wander from the fold;
O bring them back,
Good Shepherd of the sheep,
Back to the faith which
saints believed of old,
Back to the Church which
s.ll that faith does keep.
Thus may we all one Bread,
one Body be;
Through this blest Sacrament
of Unity.

1. Blest are they, the poor in spirit,
theirs is the kingdom of God.
Blest are they, full of sorrow,
they shall be consoled.
Refrain
Rejoice and be glad!
Blessed are you, holy are you!

they shall inherit the earth.
Blest are they who hunger and thirst,
they shall have their fill.
3. Blest are they who show mercy,
mercy shall be theirs.
Blest are they, the pure of heart,
they shall see God!
4. Blest are they who seek peace;
they are the children of God.
Blest are they who suffer in faith,
the glory of God is theirs.
5. Blest are you who suffer hate,
all because of me.
Rejoice and be glad,
yours is the kingdom;
shine for all to see.

The Summons
1. Will you come and follow me
If I but call your name?
Will you go where you don't know
And never be the same?
Will you let my love be shown,
Will you let my name be known,
Will you let my life be grown
In you and you in me?
2. Will you leave yourself behind
If I but call your name?
Will you care for cruel and kind
And never be the same?
Will you risk the hos.le stare
Should your life aAract or scare?
Will you let me answer prayer
In you and you in me?
3. Will you let the blinded see
If I but call your name?
Will you set the pris'ners free
And never be the same?
Will you kiss the leper clean,
And do such as this unseen,
And admit to what I mean
In you and you in me?
4. Will you love the 'you' you hide
If I but call your name?
Will you quell the fear inside
And never be the same?
Will you use the faith you've found
To reshape the world around,
Through my sight and touch and sound
In you and you in me?
5. Lord, your summons echoes true
When you but call my name.
Let me turn and follow you
And never be the same.
In your company I'll go
Where your love and footsteps show.
Thus I'll move and live and grow
In you and you in me.

and You're slow to anger.
Your name is great and
Your heart is kind.
For all Your goodness,

Ten thousand reasons

when my strength is failing,
the end draws near,

Communion
In Christ Alone
1. In Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my light my strength, my song;
This Cornerstone, this solid Ground,
firm through the
fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love,
what depths of peace,
when fears are s.lled,
when strivings cease.
My Comforter, my All in All,
here in the love of Christ I stand
2. In Christ alone, who took on flesh,
fulness of God in helpless babe!
This giZ of love and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones
He came to save.
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
the wrath of God was sa.sfied.
For every sin on Him was laid;
Here in the death of Christ I live.
3. There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain;
Then, burs.ng forth in glorious Day,
up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory,
sin's curse has lost its grip on me;
For I am His and He is mine,
bought with the precious
blood of Christ.
4. No guilt in life, no fear in death,
this is the power of Christ in me;
From life's first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my des.ny.
No power of hell,
no scheme of man,
can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home,
here in the power of Christ I'll stand!

is a three-part prayer series based on Ignation Spirituality. The first part will meet in small group once a week
for 12 weeks with two trained facilitators. Parts 2 and
3 are offered in succession after the completion of part
1. Participants pray daily with passage from scripture
and Ignation exercises.

Catechesis SignSign-Ups
It’s not too late!
Though Elementary Catechesis has begun, we are still
accepting registrations for families with children in
Grades K-5th. Catechesis meets each Tuesday at
SEAS, from 6:30-7:45 PM.
Catechesis is a yearyear-long formation program in which
your child will be able to build a closer relationship
with Jesus Christ through prayer, understanding of the
scriptures, and building community with his or her
class. Throughout the year we will have lessons as well
as FUN activities on God, the Trinity, Mary, the Saints,
and the Sacraments.
Forms to sign up are in the back of the Church and will
also be handed out at Catechesis. You may bring the
form when your drop your child off at Catechesis, mail
out the form, or bring the form back to the Church. For
any questions or comments, please contact Jacques
Delouche by calling the Parish office or emailing him
at [email protected]. Thank you very
much and we look forward to sharing this journey together.
In today’s gospel (Luke 14:25-33), Jesus cautions us by
using harsh language. His intentions are to make sure
we don’t have our mothers or fathers, sisters or brothers
children or wives become greater than God. We should
not make them like idols. That is why we read the word
“hate.” At Life Teen and Edge, we help each other to be
disciples of Jesus and follow His teachings. Come and
join us!

RCIA is a faith formation process
for anyone who is interested in
learning more about the Catholic
faith, and eventually receiving full
initiation into the Catholic Church
through the Sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion,
and Confirmation. We encourage all who have not been baptized, were baptized in another Christian faith, or who are baptized Catholic but still need to receive the remaining sacraments to sign up.
We also need volunteers to assist the people on their faith journey, especially in the areas of hospitality (i.e. bringing food) and
also to serve as mentors and support for those in RCIA. However, we always welcome anyone interested in helping lead.
Form to sign up for RCIA are in the back of Church and on the
website. For more information, or to register for RCIA, please
contact the director of Religious Education, Jacques Delouche
at [email protected] or call the parish office.

¡Ven y únete a nosotros!
