SNOW PLOW TRACKER
Ready to get in the holiday spirit? The Hammond
High School Boosters will be rockin’ around the
Christmas trees in the parking lot of Hammond High
School. Hours are:
When there is a big snow, follow the plows
on Howard County’s snow plow tracker to
see what roads have been treated and/or
plowed. The map is updated every fifteen
minutes, so you can follow the plows as
they work their way to your street!

COLUMBIA ASSOCIATION’S
STARLICIOUS TALENT SHOW
Kids between the ages of 7 and 13 can audition for the second annual Starlicious
Talent show at various Columbia Association KidSpace locations. Selected kids can
show their stuff at the Talent Show on Friday, February 7th at 6pm at the Columbia
Gym’s Youth Arena. Contestants must preregister for auditions at one of these locations:

YARD TRIM & CHRISTMAS
TREE RECYCLING
Yard trim pick-up will continue on recycling day
through January 17, 2014. Remember to use
paper bags or reusable containers. Plastic bags
contaminate the compost and are discouraged.
Christmas trees will also be picked up on
recycling day. Just remove any tinsel, garland,
ornaments, tree stands, plastic bags or any
other man-made materials and put it out for
collection.
AMHERST HOUSE
HOLIDAY
SCHEDULE
Amherst House will be closed
for the holidays beginning 9pm
on Monday, December 23rd and will reopen at
9am on Thursday, January 2nd. During this
time, KCCA HOA documents will be available for
sale at the UPS store in the Kings Contrivance
Village Center for $15 payable by cash or check.
HOWARD COUNTY’S PRESCHOOL/CHILD CARE FAIR
Howard County’s Department of Citizen Services Preschool/Child Care Information Fair will be held
on Sunday, January 26th, 1-4pm at Ten Oaks Ballroom, 5000 Signal Bell Lane in Clarksville.
Admission is free; however, attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to
the Howard County Food Bank.
The event will offer information on child care, preschool, and
summer programs, as well as the opportunity for personal contact with teachers and program
directors. For more information about the Fair, contact the Office of Children’s Services at

VILLAGE BOARD
HIGHLIGHTS
COVENANT CORNER
The Resident Architectural Committee meets the
second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at
7:30pm. You are welcome to attend.
RAC REVIEW
If you have concerns you would like the Village
Board to address, attend a Board meeting.
Meetings are held on the first and third
Wednesdays of each month at 7:30pm.
At the meeting on November 6th, the Board:
RAC Review will return in the next issue. There
was no RAC meeting on November 27th due to the
Thanksgiving holiday.
There will be no second RAC meeting in
December due to the holiday. The next
deadline is Thursday, January 2nd for the
meeting on Wednesday, January 8th.
THE NUTCRACKER ON ICE
The Columbia Figure Skating Club will
perform The Nutcracker on Ice at the
Columbia Ice Rink during the weekend of
December 14-15. Show times on Saturday
are 5:30pm and 7:15pm; performances on
Sunday are 4:30pm and 6pm. For tickets

HOLIDAY SLIDE SCHEDULE
For the Christmas and New Years holidays, trash
and recycling pickup days will slide to the next
day. If your collection day is Wednesday, it will
be moved to Thursday, etc. Please remember
that all items must be out by 6am on the
